9642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EBay and Bitcoin on: November 25, 2016, 06:09:41 PM
ebay does not accept bitcoin because their deals are not pre set and it will depend on the sellers to take the risk of price variation while at usd everyone will get the same price and at same critaria for everyone

it has to do with the buyers taking the risk not the seller, in fact it is known that paypal protect the buyer and bitcoin not, and this is the reason why ebay like paypal and not bitcoin, but i think they should come up with escrow like with purse.io and then it will be possibile to use bitcoin on their platform

Its true that eBay does indeed loves to protect its buyers, but there's no harm in giving Bitcoin a trial. Ya the idea like purse.io escrow is what's needed to give it a boost. I do hope they do it soon.

9644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India is Paying $900+ for Bitcoin Amid Cash Crisis on: November 25, 2016, 09:39:05 AM
When I visit the site zebpay that sells it clearly says that they need to upload their Pancard, isn't Pancard linked to every transaction and the tax men will eventually find out they hid their money there, so what's the point and today it hitting approx 1000$,this is madness, what will happen when price falls.

Definitely a scam on the face of it. People stay away from this scheme, no one is going to be paid as simple as that. And if any one has paid it's very unlikely you shall get paid. This looks like a kid post to earn money.
9646  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin highest price was $1109 on: November 25, 2016, 05:03:52 AM
Looking at the current scenario in India if it crosses 1500-2000$ usd, I would not be surprised. It's having a mad run and there seems to be no stopping it. So keep a watch on it, the price shall boom.

That's a nice service, but would like if it was for eBay. But then when you see the fees, it turns you off. Though this service will only work when few actually try it and it work. I mean users of bitcointalk.org actually use and rate it
9650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: University Teams Choose Between Bitcoin and Ethereum on: November 24, 2016, 04:43:01 AM
This is an excellent move and it's interesting cause this shall bring Bitcoin more popularity and will help quell all the confusion that are associated with it. I hope they have taken Bitcoin for investment it's a win win for the Bitcoin guys. My money would be on Bitcoin.
9651  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Twitter ccLottery | Weekly Rounds | % 1 House Edge on: November 23, 2016, 05:14:33 PM
I just saw your address but it has nothing, no one will believe that you are going to give us the payout unless you are going to escrow it, and if I may ask how much is the payout for each winner? You dont have any explanation on everything that lottery needed

If there is a escrow service then only you should continue. This looks like a scam like the one btcjack played. Then they never replied only. If the Op doesn't escrow then it's not worth.

Just because of there is no escrow on this game, many people are not daring to place some of their money here, if only there is some escrow may be many will try this site though. At least escrow will give the payout later if he scam us later

That's exactly the reason I suggested that he should do an escrow. It really irritating that you pay and invest and only to be scammed. Plus he just got a newbie tag, so it will be difficult for others to trust him. I vote for a escrow then we all may consider.
9652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin died tomorrow on: November 23, 2016, 04:38:16 PM
What would you do?
Move onto another coin?
Cry all day long?
Throw your computer in the pool?
Eat 100 bananas?

Well would like to move on cause you can't be stuck to one coin. But I don't know any coin that is equivalent to the Bitcoin and that it will even shoot up like Bitcoin did, though I wouldn't mind to accumulate other coins before this happens, though let's hope this never comes.

9654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin business idea on: November 23, 2016, 03:55:02 PM
If you could start a huge level exchange that would be nice. Or open a bank in your local area and get permission to trade in Bitcoin that will be a revolution for you and everyone. Try and look the law and see if a bank idea is possible for you. Else there to much competition. Or the usual Ptc site, and give Bitcoin.
9655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So, why do we need to use Bitcoin? on: November 23, 2016, 11:29:11 AM
There's not just one use of Bitcoin, each and every one will have a different purpose. Like for some it can be to make more money, some may see it as a investment venue, while some see it to buy items. I use the third part, I am needing it to buy myself two gadgets, fitbit charge hr 2 and snapchat glasses, and if any remains after that will use to save it for a rainy day. Cant think of any other use 😁
9656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 22 Hours and still 3 unconfirmed transactions - what do I do now? on: November 23, 2016, 08:39:13 AM
If Bitcoin transactions stop, they will say: "See how the network is not at full capacity, small blocks are totally fine!" This is what they did already many times, this is what they'll do again and again. Boycotting Bitcoin will not solve the problem.

Why are you so frighten of having your voice heard?

It is 24 hours to send a message. It needs to happen.

You want unlimited , it won't happen any other way, they will just keep ignoring you.

 Cool

You are advocating for a wrong way of sending a message, and to a wrong group of people.

Message must be sent to miners - they are the only ones who care, for their profits depend on them listening.

Blockstream devs profits do not depend on them listening, they do not accept messages.

How do you for a fact they don't. It's not every day that such movements are started, if we don't try we will never know what could have been possible. Why so negative, you should focus on the positivity, it's a chance for all to unite and over a period of time figure a solution. If we all only keep on arguing in between us, we are making their job lot easier. I am supporting this movement for a cause, for a change and even you should, it's time they realized they can't toy us around
9657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 22 Hours and still 3 unconfirmed transactions - what do I do now? on: November 23, 2016, 08:06:06 AM
We can all do this to help the Lady out.  Smiley

Everyone BoyCott BTC for 24 hours because of the Ignored Transaction Problems
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1690300.0

 Cool

Boycotting is not the answer. Contacting your local Bitcoin miner to adopt Unlimited is the answer. Wait a minute, there are no local miners left in 2016, well then, learn that phrase in Mandarin and spam them with emails.

Yes it is , they ignored people and got nothing done, it is time.
Shall I mark you as a person that wants to help these people that money is frozen or a head in the sand guy?
Your Choice?

 Cool

Why do you propose to boycott Bitcoin, the protocol?
If you want to boycott someone, boycott those who have put strains on the network. Not sticking a head in the sand is voting for Bitcoin Unlimited by running the Unlimited node and spamming miners to upgrade like ViaBTC pool. Adoption of Bitcoin is crippled with small blocks, poor ladies are in panic of losing money. This wouldn't have happened with Unlimited.
www.reddit.com/r/btc for more information.
Let's see if this post is not deleted by censorship.

No one make any new transactions for 24 hours, that is it. Gives the Transactions time to clear out and sends a message, that is it.
If you are too timid to even do that there is no hope.
Unlimited is one of the proposals in the link , post that is what you want. Make your Voice Heard.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1690300.0

 Cool

I support this movement, it's about time that a stand is taken and our voices are heard. If we all could unite we shall have our demands fulfilled. We are not demanding, we are just asking to be treated fairly. Let's unite in one voice and do no transactions for 24 hours.
9658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 22 Hours and still 3 unconfirmed transactions - what do I do now? on: November 23, 2016, 06:16:57 AM
you are a Legendary member for gods sake you shouldn't be asking these kinds of questions Cheesy

the answer is the same as you see on 10 other topics newbies created:
- include enough fees with your transactions read: http://bitcoinfees.21.co
- wait until it is confirmed, the mempool is about 30 MB big for two days so even with enough fee you will be stuck for a while.
- i don't know the reason why but it may be because of the 1 MB block size limit again Cheesy

He's right if a legendary member asks such questions you can imagine, there will be a countless amount of threads on this. Coming to your question if it's any relief I have seen other person transaction also being kept on hold. So I don't feel you need to worry, it takes time but it will happen for sure. Since its happening with so many persons, you can relax and wait for it, nothing is in our hands anyways, so be positive it will happen

9660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: November 23, 2016, 04:36:18 AM
I have never brought drugs, never intend to also. Why spoil the name of Bitcoins. Use it for better purposes rather than this kind of purposes. There's more to life than drugs. Don't buy such stuff using anything use your money for better purposes.
I think regardless of the user to buy items useful or not, but bitcoin is a great payment method for anonymous and confidential, so believe it or not, many people using bitcoin to illegal activities, such as buying drugs

I am aware that people will be using it for drugs and other illegal activities but in the long run it could get Bitcoin more into scrutiny and will get it a bad name. I know it's not entirely possible to stop this activities but on a personal level avoid as much as possible so to protect the future of Bitcoin. Hence I was negative. But now some country have started legalising Marijuana so I think this buying trend will increase sadly.
