Huntercoin idée marrante à la base mais bon au final c'est pourri par les centaines de chinois qui squattent les spots de pops des coins...
982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MaxCoin | CPU Cloud Mining Guide | MAX VPS // Prep for TODAY'S RELEASE /7:30 GMT on: February 06, 2014, 02:26:45 PM
Mining on DigitalOcean should not be very profitable. I tried with quarkcoin, and I get only 25-30 kh/s (1 core for $5).

1 Core on DO gets about 70-80 kh/s.
8 Cores ~ 630 kh/s.

e.g.
[2013-02-06 12:06:46] thread 1: 787919 hashes, 81.58 khash/s

This guide was published before the keccak cudaminer was available. Unfortunately the initial launch failed but the cpuminer sources was officially released, which gives GPU miners advantage due to the cudaminer update.

I for one definitely cloud mine MAX as soon as available -- nobody knows whether the gpu miner implementation will work flawlessly as is right after launch.
May be devs will come with last minute keccak tweak that would screw cudaminers??
983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: February 06, 2014, 02:23:39 PM
Actually, nvidia cards are are already ahead for script-jane Nfactor=9 (or at least pretty close)

in term of Hashrate / price ? I don't think so...
984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: February 06, 2014, 02:15:40 PM
I wonder, if it is really good for the coin all that...

I think it's good for all crypto if @ least one coin make nvidia cards owners join the game... And I say that as an Ati farm owner...

don't waste your time with cpu mining, there's already a gpu miner ready for the launch, see cudaminer thread... They are getting 130 mhs with a gtx 780...

Any chance to set a proportionate txfee like 0.5% instead of a static fee in the new wallet?
A static fee would make the coin unusable for smaller transactions.

maybe not a static proportional... This parameter will be the hardest to set for premine to live...

I guess there is no issues with the currency name, only the logo is insulting rather than funny. Just change the logo and let the good times roll.  Smiley

990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Goldman Sachs Involved in project Ethereum... ARE YOU F... KIDDING ME on: February 01, 2014, 04:15:26 AM
You guys are kidding right? I used to work at Subway when I was younger. If I work on a coin does that mean that the sandwich industrial complex has a stranglehold over my operations?

I get the whole "screw the banks" mentality, I really do. I'm right there with you. But if you think that the people who work/run/created the financial system haven't already been involved in the bitcoin world you are crazy. Do you think that bankers would prefer not to play around in an unregulated arena? C'mon. If there are profits to be made then the people everyone is rallying against are already involved. Bitcoin isn't really a secret. Satoshi could have worked at Goldman Sachs for all you know. Someone prove that he didn't. There are mysterious people sitting on massive stacks of BTC all over the world. You really think the best and brightest of the financial world are all sitting on the sidelines crying about how they wish they understood how to set up a wallet?

These guys here are up front with where these guys worked. People who worked at banks are going to be involved/already are. All this big talk of boycotting the whole project and whatnot solely based on a bank being mentioned is stupid talk. You are just conditioning the next wave of coin makers to be deceptive, anonymous, and guarded with their information. But maybe that's what you guys want. Just know that that is what you are going to get.

You don't really understand how goldman sachs works do you?

We cannot steal other peoples coins. Thats illegal.
Do you want us to shut down due to legal problems? We dont think so.
So, please stop with the take-action-against-multipools thing.

Stealing would be stupid, but you can hold them and ask account owner to get them back and go trade them to another exchange...
