981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Suggest me a bitcoin wallet on: October 05, 2017, 03:26:24 AM
*sorry if this topic is not suitable here, but i need help.

Hi,
I am using coinbase since from the start. But now i want to change my bitcoin wallet. Since coinbase disabled the sign message option for the users,i want to leave them permanent and badly need a secure wallet for my hardly earned bitcoin.

I don't want to download the full blockchain, and don't know which wallet is safe and easy for me.So please help me out.

I have only coinbase wallet, i never used any other wallet.
Blockchain also can offer sign message but only for old address before the blockchain update his wallet. You can also use coinb.in there you can save private key and use sign message very easy to use.
982  Economy / Speculation / Re: what you think about bitcoin in like 5 years? on: October 05, 2017, 02:48:22 AM
bitcoin is five years time in my opinion there will be a lot of hard forks from the original bitcoin blockchain and the value of bitcoin would increase by 300 percent today's price. if transaction's speed and price remains the same, bitcoin's not improving and maybe the price wont grow that much
No one know that but in my opinion Bitcoin will fix that and improve their transaction speed and low fee. In 5 years later the price absolutely incredible if Bitcoin still alive Cheesy.
983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: altcoins for 2-3 years holding! on: October 05, 2017, 12:46:09 AM
For holding them for 2-3 years, bitcoin and Ethereum would be two best coins for you. Tokens are riskier if you are not able to predict their future in time.

do you think ETH has better future than neo?
There no one knows about that who is better for future Ethereum or NEO. If you see currently Etherum is still the best than NEO marketcap which is much different. But if think about future there is no one know NEO could take over his position.
984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you find interesting ICO ? on: October 05, 2017, 12:06:33 AM
Where do you find interesting ICO or crypto projects to invest ? Here on bitcointalk announcements or on other websites related to new ICO  announcements !
I just know Bitcointalk. I can see more details some very interesting ICOs on Ann Altcoin section which good to investment. There are other places just to see from some advertising campaigns on social media like youtube, facebook, and twitter.
985  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is not gambling on: October 04, 2017, 01:45:40 PM
Sometimes I think it is gambling because it drops or rise so quickly, but sometimes I think bitcoin is a kind of currency,it can be investm not gambling .so i am confused too
They do not know what bitcoin is. So they consider it as gambling. I've also experienced the same thing when my friends say that bitcoin is gambling when they do not know what it is. I can only smile and say it seems like you have to learn a lot about bitcoin.
986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Dogecoin? on: October 04, 2017, 01:07:09 PM
Absolutely bitcoin, Bitcoin currently can not be compared with other coins. Moreover, compared to both the difference is very much bitcoin has a very high value compared to doge coins that currently value only 26 satoshi.
987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So low market cap is better for investment? on: October 04, 2017, 01:18:11 AM
I do not think that low market is betterfor investment because if so people are very lacking for trading in the market that can make the price movement of the coins very slow. I guess to investing who have big market.
988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What coin is the next big thing? on: October 04, 2017, 12:50:23 AM
SONM is pumped to 4k satoshi this day after a few month ago dumped to 1,k satoshi i think this coin gonna be the best coin in the few days or maybe month.
989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest regret about bitcoin on: October 03, 2017, 01:11:26 PM
My biggest regrets about bitcoin when i have 2BTC selling it when the price was $400 i didn't know now the price is now hit around $4000. Very regret when i'm not holding it until now Sad.
990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to participate in ICO's? on: October 03, 2017, 04:21:05 AM
Investing on ICO is no longer safe because most ICO companies after the sale of the price are heavily destroyed below the price of ICO. I suggest to think to investing there or maybe prefer ICO that has the best grade.
991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to hold coins? on: October 03, 2017, 02:39:33 AM
Hey guys,

I've read around a bit, googled, but I know many are active traders - so I'll ask here:

Background:  I have about 6 coins currently (not much) and 1 ICO (in it's own wallet, of course). Some of these are active trades, some for hold.  Currently I have 1 in a Cryptopia Wallet (unsure if this will be hold or active yet) and 5 in Bittrex Wallets.  I also have Exodus and mine ETH and DCR to those wallets.

What is the preference?

  • Have my own PC-based wallet and back it up?
  • Use a hard-wallet? (thinking like Trezor)
  • Other?

Thanks.  Just trying to figure this all out Smiley

Whatever the trusted wallet you use as long as you can keep it that's good but not using exchange wallet (not recommended). For me i just using online wallet like MEW and also offline wallet or PC wallet.
992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the Point of ICO Escrow? on: October 03, 2017, 01:11:39 AM
So, lets say you've developed a new altcoin and you're going to do an ICO. How does escrow protect coin purchasers? I mean, the dev team is eventually going to get access to the BTC at the end of the crowdsale, at which point they could just steal it all.
I thought it was just an intermediary only. Even though the escrow will give access to the funds of ICO. But it depends on escrow they use usually escrow secure the funds of ICO until they release the coins to investor so they feel secure getting their shares.
993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why do alt's use Slack ? on: October 02, 2017, 04:16:14 AM
Slack is like the wild west with scams and phishing attemps

If ETH forked each time I got a push notification stating as much there would be 1000 different chains

There are imposters everywhere

Why do alt's and ICO's continue to use it ?

I am uninstalling the app
I think with many social media discussions used by Alt or ICO company can create a wider network one of them is slack. It does not matter if they use the app because maybe many of them just prefer to use slack app. Maybe some of you who use this application get notification email every day several times but you can disable it.
994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Bitcoin is better than Gold? on: October 02, 2017, 03:00:24 AM
So Bitcoin is better than Gold? Roll Eyes
For me Bitcoin and Gold are both special and have a good advantages. In which they have been used to different activities such as accessories fot gold and Internet thingy for bitcoin. They are mined by the miner but the weird thing is Bitcoin is mined but it is not tangible.
Yes, both are both special and have a good advantages but in here bitcoin have more advantages than gold. Bitcoin is usefully can use as payment and maybe disadvantage of bitcoin if mining we must have have a lot of funds of everything needed to mine.
995  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: will we succeed with bitcoin? on: October 02, 2017, 01:59:18 AM
I am wondering to myself will I succeed in bitcoin world!

if you feel bad about yourself that you will succeed later on bitcoin?? Roll Eyes
As long as I can learn a lot about bitcoin world maybe I can succeed later on. Seeing the progress of bitcoin with a pretty amazing price so far has been able to bring us a success too.
996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is long term investment on: September 28, 2017, 02:47:32 AM
Ethereum is better for long term invest?
Please share your valuable opinion.

I agree. Ethereum is good for long term holding. ICOs are now becoming a very good way for projects to start offering their coins in the market. And investors are looking at it with optimism since the bonuses are high. ETH smart contracts is also getting bigger and bigger.
Absolutely yes investing for long term in Ethereum will make everyone who holding it is rich. Ethereum is very good coins than any altcoin no doubt the ETH on top 2nd marketcap after bitcoin.
997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you usually do after token sales? on: September 28, 2017, 01:58:35 AM
After the token sales i do not sell them but i'm holding it. Because after sales the value usually below price of ICO maybe after 1 or 2 month will sell them.
998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: MyEtherWallet Question on: September 28, 2017, 01:34:42 AM
I think you will not be able to send it, because if you have not added ticker, decimal, and address, the token will not be visible in MEW Grin
The token will display automatically in MEW account after the token is verified. Yes also if not added the token details on MEW will not able to send it.
999  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: September 28, 2017, 12:46:37 AM
Hi, I was wondering if I should quit my job and focus more on bitcoins? Because I think it might get me even richer without a job?  Grin
I think real job is more important we can't expect that bitcoin as your job also we do not know when the bitcoin will last long. If bitcoin is gone the one and only to get money or income for future is real job. I just assume that bitcoin is my second job.
1000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good time to buy ETH now? on: September 27, 2017, 03:08:58 PM
For my part, I think this is a good time to invest in ETH. Its value continues to increase and it tend to become equivalent to the Bitcoin.
wait till ethereum switch to PoS, the price will go to the moon, many people will trying to grab eth to stake their address and earn eth out of it. at the beginning of the hf, the price will increase because demands is on its peak.
I think this should be considered for new investors to buy ETH before the switch. After the switch is most likely the price of ETH will go to the moon because in this mode ETH can not be mine (correct me if i'm wrong)
