I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.

Bitcoin is a currency. You cant say money is gambling itself. But if you invest your money and convert it into bitcoin, now it is gambling. Because you take a risk investing your money to a volatile currency hoping it would rise up in the coming days, but you know it might also drop. There is still win or lose in it, so basically its still gambling. The process is gambling, not bitcoin itself. |

Sometimes I think it is gambling because it drops or rise so quickly,but sometimes I think bitcoin is a kind of currency,it can be investm not gambling .so i am confused too

For those people saying that bitcoin is gambling is the one's that losses a bunch of money in investing with it as you will say a negative thing about a good thing if you don't get what you want, that is the typical nature of people though. If we only take a close look on what is happening with bitcoin since it was created the value of a single piece of bitcoin is less than $1 and even 1 cent so it continues to grow until now. Let them call it gambling but for me I may call it a risk as when you are investing your hard earned money to whatever thing it is then you already putting a risk on it to whichever its result, different people has different understandings though. |

When you say bitcoin, it doesn't mean that it is a gambling. What they mean is, they use bitcoins as their bet when they play or do a gamblings. Bitcoin is the payment for that game and it stands as their bet. And if they win, bitcoin is also their prize. |

i think people refer to the fact that the value is not very stable and it can drop very low making it very risky too hold for long term, there is a bit fo gambling in bitcoin like in any investment, so invest what you can afford to lose and no more, but it's true that bitcoin have more potential yes |

People who do not know bitcoins may say that it's falling down so they say it's gambling because your money is down. Yes, we see a gamble that will reduce their money. And they can compare it. But one of them does not know that bitcoins are made to be special because it can increase the amount of money you have in the fast-growing season. Yes they have a point in saying they are a Gambling. But they do not know that this is a decentralized altcoins and the only one that can increase its price is also us.

If someone think Bitcoin is gambling I think they don't know what Bitcoin really is. Maybe they only know some risky way to earn money from Bitcoin such as invest in HYIP system, Dice or Bet. Don't waste your time to show them what is the real about Bitcoin cause they will never understand it  . I've tried a lot of times before but person whom I told them about Bitcoin still think Bitcoin is really bad and risky )) |

well it's depend on how you use bitcoin. when you investing to some of crypto with blind eyes i can call it gambling because you do investing based on fortune. but if you investing with do some research, analysis and good consideration. that's what i call beauty of trading |

You have a point there. People do invest their time and money, but that doesn't always guarantee that they'll make the money back they put in. I believe that notion that Bitcoin is gambling because the price is volatile and not stable. If you were to put a huge chunk of your life's saving in Bitcoin just to experience a huge dip, wouldn't that be almost the same as gambling? |

Its not a gambling if you do know how to deal with it and not risking too much and playing safe on bitcoin investments but knowing that all investments do have certain risk on losing money but somehow you can lessen up loss of money if you do it on the right way.Gambling would only happen if you do go all in and carelessly making steps which are not really advisable specially on bitcoin investment.Like putting all of your funds or assets on it,this is really like gambling after all since we dont know on when bitcoin would last and if it crashes then for sure at the same time it would crush your life too. |

Yes of course it is not gambling. Bitcoin is a digital currency. It actually depends on how you use it. If you use it as a currency then there's no gambling at all. But by the time you enter trading, there's a bit of gamble there because the risk is just like you are gambling. But if you buy and hold till you can gain profit, it is not gambling; it is investing into something that you believe it will give you profit when the right time comes. So, that's all for my opinion. |
