981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Stop trading until 01.08.? on: July 28, 2017, 11:27:20 AM
So there wil be trading, a lot of losers and so a lot of winners as well at the same time, this month is very good for traders who are very professional.
Too bad for those who lost but like OP, I think it is time to stop for a bit now and enjoy the sun. Even if that is the case, I will still hold some altcoins that I think would be worth buying now and those I think that will rise in price. Any thoughts after 01.08? Will we see another crazy pump day, or will it be another bloodbath? Maybe there will be another bloodbath IMO but the decrease in price might be significant on some altcoins.
982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Rising Alt Coins: your opinion? on: July 28, 2017, 10:27:28 AM
Been checking in to some ICO releases here are some interesting up coming ICOs
|
Mass                             mass.cloud/
A Masternode And Staking Service

Umbrella Coin:               umbrellacoin.org
Next generation investment community voting platform

Decentraland                 decentraland.org/
virtual reality platform powered by the Ethereum blockchain

digitaldevelopersfund     digitaldevelopersfund.com/ico/

Investment fund focused on high growth digital assets.

Let me know what you guys think.

It seems to me that there is only one or two in that ICO is really good, and the other concept is either trash or a rip off. Also, some of the ico's listed there seems fishy to me and probably a scam. Be careful in investing onto those ICO's but I probably might not consider investing into some of them, because they only have a limited potential to grow more in the future, and might not be that profitable at all.
983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which altcoin exchanges allow signup/trading with minimal verification? on: July 27, 2017, 08:42:34 PM
Hi, I'm new to cryptocurrencies and am in the process of researching exchanges to trade bitcoin for altcoins, however I feel really uneasy about uploading my passport, drivers license, utility bills, bank statements and a selfie with me holding my passport. Not only for obvious security reasons but also for governments to use my information and track my activity, i just find it really invasive.

But then I thought if one day I decide to cancel my account at an exchange that they would delete all of my personal information with it, however I've just discovered that Bitfinex retains all your details and sensitive documents for 6 years after account closure, and Poloniex I believe retains all your information indefinitely.

Are there any other options out there to trade altcoins with minimal verification? I don't mind uploading some form of ID, I guess that's fair providing I have their complete assurance that it would be deleted If I were to choose to close my account in the future.

Thanks.
You can use bittrex if you want, I have been using birrex for a year or two now and they have not required me for a verification at all, just keep your withdrawals below 2000$ and ou can use it without verification. There are also other exchanges that does not require verification if you want more anonymity like c-cex which I have used for a year too. You can withdraw and deposit here without giving personal info at all to them.
984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The scams are coming!!! on: July 27, 2017, 12:04:28 PM
Well, what do you expect when every Tom Dick and Harry can make a coin for as less as $5 (using waves), host a website with less than $10 (any basic shared cloud hosting) and market it in social media and platforms like this.

Anything which they get is nearly profit.
Yeah they can get easy returns on investment like that like it is nothing, even if only twenty people buy, they will still be in profit. That is why there are many ICO's right now, so be careful of them because I think some just have a rip off idea from another altcoin, just edited. Some have a kind of unique idea but in a way that crypto world does not really necessarily needs it. There are a few who might not be scam though but still beware most is scam.
985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: altcoin pump/dump on: July 27, 2017, 10:46:30 AM
In these days altcoins like wawes, ltc ... dumped so much. There are two types of ideas on this site. the first one is altcoins will dump before 1 august. the other one is altcoins will pump before 1 august. what do you guys think about that? which idea is true for you? i know you can not know certainly. But maybe you guys can analyse better than me. thank you for your comments...
There is a high chance that altcoins if not all, most will pump before august 1 because people might consider hedging into altcoins while btc is full of uncertainty. There is a low probability of most altcoins dumping before the said date, after all, only bitcoin will have changes on august 1, not all altcoins. Even if that is the case, I'm sure one or two dumps will occur in some altcoins but some might not be affected at all.
986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your opinion on my cryptobag portfolio? on: July 26, 2017, 10:03:18 PM
This is currently what I'm holding in my bag for long term.  Honest opinions is much appreciated!!

Bitshares- 600 coins
DGB - 5300 coins
SIA - 7300 coins
Ethureum - 5.5 coins
Litecoin - 20 coins
Wave - 140 coins
Ripple - 2300 coins

Trying to keep things diversified!!
I cant say negative things about your stash since it is pretty nice IMO. If you bought at a lower price, then it is better and maybe you are in profit right now. I like the way it is diversified into some solid coins which have a future, especially on waves and bitshares but you should have had added more on waves, because of the changes on it's wallet and the planned things on it's roadmap that is coming soon, and have less of ripple.
987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wave's DEX (exchange) Instant blockchain token creation tradeable in wallet :) on: July 26, 2017, 09:05:53 PM
The Wave's Liteclient allows you to trade within the wallet in it's DEX (exchange), as well as create your own blockchain token within 1 minute, where you can specify the name, # of tokens in circulation, if it is re-issuable or not, and how many places after the decimal (.).   In only a matter of months, over 3,000 tokens, which can be entire economic world's unto themselves, have been created.  The possibilities to how businesses and users can use these tokens is nearly endless.  The DEX also allows you to trade vs any token that exists on Waves, for example, BTC, ETH, USD, EURO, MGO and many others.  There are also fiat gateways for wiring in and out USD and EURO, with more gateways coming soon as well as big DEX updates very soon!

Soon Wave's will have 1,000 tx/s and non-turing complete smart contracts.  It is an ICO/token creation/trading platform amongst other things.  Transfers cost only .001 waves, and can also get much cheaper for large volume transaction processors, and trades cost .003 waves instead of a percentage like Polo or Bittrex or normal exchanges who charge between .1-.25% typically.  You can also trade EURO/USD on there!  Soon CNY too.  Basically it will become a traders paradise, as well as specific use case paradise with regards to the ease of creating a token within wallet.

You can lease  your Waves from within the Liteclient within 1 minute also, for a one time cost of .001 wave fee, and then you begin earning revenue from the nodes which validate the transactions on the network.  It's pretty amazing.  Dividends while you sleep without having to run your own node, and you can cancel at any time, and the Waves never technically leave your account.  All this in Leased Proof of Stake (LPOS).

Pretty sweet platform with an amazing future coming up.  I wonder how many people even know about it yet?
It really is surprising how waves adopted smart contracts. Also, I think token creations on waves are easier than token creations on ethereum which makes me wonder why others choose ethereum more than waves to use in token creation if it is more convenient? As far as I know, waves has a signature campaign running OP so probably by now it is known by at least near half of bitcointalk users or more than it.
988  Other / Meta / Re: Skincoin bounty thread removed and ANN thread locked on: July 26, 2017, 11:55:52 AM
I have gone through skincoin bounty thread today its removed and ANN thread is locked how we can check the status as we reached final stake check and distribution till two months of campaign nothing happened now in final stage of distribution its removed. Some one please help.
Assuming that what you are saying now is true since I personally am not checking it out right now, don't bother checking the status of stakes. There is a low chance that they will get announcement thread back and the coin is scam. Also if bounty thread is removed, don't even bother checking because probably it is scam already, after all those who do it most of the time have already finished scamming people and was on the run. Edit : I have checked what you linked and it seems to me that it was locked for breaking some rules so there's nothing to worry about for now.
989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do Altcoins not gain when BTC lose ground ? on: July 26, 2017, 10:56:20 AM
+1
That`s it..

BTC is still trend and fashion dominant..
It is not just because of it. In the past when bitcoin pump, altcoin dump and vice versa. when you look at it now, some altcoins follow the same trend or movement with btc, but not all and I think it is because investors mainly want out of an altcoin when btc dumps, before that particular altcoin dumps, causing a chain of sell with other traders or holders wanting to do the same. It is not because of bitcoin price becoming the flag of crypto currency market but I agree in the part that it represents the investor's faith in the market.
990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Segwit2x effect on Altcoin price on: July 26, 2017, 10:26:03 AM
Is there any effect on Altcoin price after 1st Aug becuase of Segwit2x?
There should be any kind of effect on altcoin price after or before august 1. There might be a slight to massive increase on some altcoins because many might want to consider hedging on altcoins, particularly top coins who are not moving a lot or those with a lot of potential to grow more. There might also be a little decrease on some altcoins after that, because people might consider restocking bitcoin back again after the implementation of changes.
991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Goin' down? on: July 25, 2017, 09:58:02 PM
Blood starting again? What is your thoughts? Market Cap: $89.894.156.690
I think dumps will start again, but not only btc will be affected, some altcoins will be directly affected as well. As you can see on coinmarketcap now, most coins are in the red, having a bloodbath again. The ones who bought the few who are up today are quite lucky in my opinion, but what will happen tomorrow? Will there be another bloodbath? We will find out soon enough so for now Ill wait and watch.  Cool

Your portfolio is good in my opinion but you should take out those I have highlighted, because those coins have little to no potential to grow more in the future. By that way how much is your portfolio and how many percent of it have you invested on each altcoins you listed here? If you would add that info, it would help us to feedback better.
993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10 ETH or 1 BTC? on: July 25, 2017, 11:19:53 AM
If I have $3000, my investment choice will be to diversify and buy 70% BTC and 30% ETH. But I will invest after 1 Aug .
Its a nice idea to invest after august 1 on btc because there is a probability that price would dump at that time, and might be an opportunity again to buy cheap bitcoins. On the other hand, I think you shouldn't invest too much on eth, but get other coins because there are many hacks that are centered around ETH now. If I were to choose between 10 ETH or 1 BTC, I would choose 1 BTC just because it has a more potential to grow.
994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum or Waves or Others for ICO? on: July 25, 2017, 09:58:02 AM
Wave's DEX is the Future imo... -_-
I agree with you that waves dex is the future but for me both is good and none is better than the two because they both have their good sides of their own. In waves, the good side is the waves dex exchange and the easiness to create tokens, I also think that it is easier than creating tokens in ETH. On the other hand, ETH is also good because it is a lot easier to send or receive in ETH rather than waves but the fee is higher. Also, it will be easier for dev to create a wallet of their own from ETH chain.
995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum a threat to BTC??? on: July 25, 2017, 08:51:21 AM
I agree with you, Ethereum owns a lot of altcoin from ICO projects. If the Ethereum platform is of high quality and potential, then surely Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin and become the top cryptocurrency.
Even if ethereum runs a lot of altcoin from ICO projects, I don't think that it will dethrone bitcoin because it really is not affected by every trade on the altcoins it run when it was released in the market. and if it were to dominate, the chance of it happening is so slim because price of it is only driven by greed for money. Also, there are many flaws that exist in ethereum, way more than bitcoin so if they won't try to fix it all, ethereum would just be one of the top coins.
996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help with my portfolio on: July 24, 2017, 09:25:59 AM
Hi, I have been lurking for a while finally decided to start investing

my portfolio consists of

50% Viacoin
30% antshares
15% waves
5% Gamecredits

I have made slight profit but I am a newbie in investing should I reduce my stakes in viacoin and invest in something else?

I guess you should get your viacoin stash down to 5% and invest it into other altcoins that have potential right now. You can also use 40% of your stash that you will get to add more on waves, I think it got more potential to grow than viacoin. You can use the remaining 5% left of your stash that you will get by selling some viacoin stash into investing on other promising coins such as stratis, ethereum and many others.
997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: waves or stratis on: July 23, 2017, 02:56:03 AM
Stratis coins are like hyped and pumped up very hard. I don't want to buy them because of the high price. But waves still has more way to increase its price. And their exchanger should be implemented. I don't know, maybe we can buy both.
It is better to buy both, but If I were OP I would put a bigger percent of my stash in crypto on waves rather than stratis, because waves for me is better than stratis. Stratis is pretty risky to invest into right now considering it is hyped and pumped up very hard. On the other hand, waves' growth is just pure market movements and not that hyped at all, I guess it is stting in it's true value right now.
998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the first sign of a scam project (ico) for you? on: July 23, 2017, 12:52:03 AM
As stated in the topic, what is the first thing that makes you raise the alarm?
The first thing that makes me raise the alarm if one ICO is scam or not is when an ICO is trying to raise too much money with just a little percent of tokens or coins for investors and bounty participants, having more than 50% of the tokens for the dev or team. Also, I think an ICO is scam when there are so many premined coins.
999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PLEXCOIN what the fuck is this and why isnt anyone talking about it? on: July 22, 2017, 05:28:45 PM
https://www.plexcoin.com/

really what is this. i cant find any info on it anywhere there are multiple spelling mistakes on their website visa wont back up their claims that they have a card coming out with them. people are calling it out as a scam online.
if its real its really interesting but with claims of over 1300% return in just 30 days is crazy.
people need to share this shit and if its a scam let people know as they already have a huge following on facebook of 40000 and growing and its looking like allot of people will invest in it
That's how it is, even if you share it though, many might not believe what you share after all, investors of plexcoin might support it and be as blind as fuck, like those who supports thebillioncoin if you heard about it. If they got scammed its there loss though not yours and after all, it promises something too good to be true so if one is smart, it is already obvious that plexcoin is scam at first glance.
1000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is IOTA the next big thing? on: July 22, 2017, 11:55:09 AM
iota working is already together with big companys such as foxcoon, microsoft, cisco, rwe, ubuntu, and bosch

iota is by far the most adopted coin out there and it has good tech too

will this be next big Thing?

I personally think that IOTA has a potential to grow in the future because like you said, It has a good enough tech but it ain't the most adopted coin out there. Also, I don't think that IOTA will be the next big thing with just having foxcoon, microsoft, cisco, rwe, ubuntu, and bosch together with it. It also needs to be used by many people more to become the next big thing, because right now many users use it for the sake of speculation.
