9901  Economy / Reputation / Re: How to remove negative trust? (from Hilariousandco) on: April 25, 2018, 07:19:02 PM
What do you expect to this man? he aint got balls to admit that he doesnt deserved to be DT member,i got red trust for having alt accounts which participated different bounties,he is doing things the way he wants.I hope this idiot is going to be removed in the DT members as soon as possible as he is going to be like LAUDA,having their own rules,

tell me if  he doesnt have any alt acconts here?
I found your alt accounts because you used them to make posts consecutively in the same thread, and they were all shitposts.  That makes you a spammer, and such behavior is directly toxic to the forum as a whole.  What you were engaging in makes it a lot harder to find good posts, because you have to look at and decide to skip over your posts, and that uses up valuable eyeball time and attention span.  You did this so you could profit, and you couldn't care less if what you wrote made any sense, much less contributed anything useful (which it absolutely didn't).

You can keep bitching about your feedback, but it's clear you don't--and will never--agree with my arguments.  I would suggest, however, that you take a look at how much support you're getting here and maybe consider whether the community agrees with my assessment of you.  It's hard to take a honest and critical look at yourself, but sometimes it can be therapeutic.
9902  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: April 24, 2018, 10:40:31 PM
all though there’s posts not much good.
There is so much wrong in these seven words alone that I doubt you'd be able to properly judge what a good post even is, much less whether it's a noob or Legendary member who's making it.  What is clear is that you're obviously jealous of people who are getting their posts merited and that you're being kept from greater earnings via bounty shitposting.

I've learned in life that you can either write well or you can't, and the vast majority of people I've met have little talent for it, and I'm not talking about people here on bitcointalk--I'm talking about the people I've met in my country, where English is the official language.  So it's not a shock that everyone here who are from countries where English probably isn't even taught and who are trying to splice together phrases about how bitcoin is increasing day by day and has a bright future have no ability to write anything that resembles coherent content.  It's been proven more times than the Pythagorean Theorem.

When are you guys going to realize that more senior members haven't just started here, trying to earn money spamming for bounties?  They tend to have a more vested interest in bitcoin and bitcointalk, and they know more about bitcoin and the forum and thus have more interesting things to say.  Get over it.  Bitching about reality and how it's not conforming to your expectations is childish and ultimately futile.

The merit system is very difficult. You have to do a lot to get Merit. But sometimes you can not get the money back
I've read a lot of shitposts in my time, and this has got to be one of the most idiotic I've come across.

But did you notice the sig that Pajeet is wearing? Talk about irony...
Big LOL.
9903  Other / Meta / Re: I have no merits to send?? on: April 24, 2018, 09:44:31 PM
I don't know if this is a bought account or OP is a fool.  Looks like there's a gap in posting between 7/2017 and 3/2018, but even with that he should know what merits are, how to send them, and how many he should have.

Why would anyone want to buy an account with the trust score he has, anyway?  That really wouldn't make sense, but who knows.

OP, you don't have to do this, but can you sign a message from an old staked address?

Whoops.  Looks like this is a bought account.  OP posted this back in 2011:

Captain, extrapolating difficulty increases without accounting for profitability is stupid. There is no way that difficulty will continue to increase at 30% every 10 days unless the price goes back up to 30 or more. Notice how many people are selling used 5830s now in the forum. This is a strong indication that people are reluctant to add to capacity now and that difficulty growth will almost certainly slow. I think the real threat (and reason that I wouldn't invest) is that price could stagnate or fall somewhat, leaving people with big new investments in the lurch.

I wish someone would come up with a better use for GLBSE than mining. If someone trustworthy listed a somewhat professional sexcam or gambling site there, I would be eager to invest my coin. Bitcoin users almost all young men -> porn/gambling are perfect target markets.

Notice how good the grammar and everything else is compared to what he's posting now.  I'm so sure this is a bought or hacked account that I'm going to add to his feedback.

Merit points were given to every one automatically by the system. Starting from members rank to legendary. And I think it was stated clearly that once anyone exhaust their merit points, they would be left with nothing else to gift. Maybe you fell into this category and have ran out of merit points.
Thank you for summarizing all the responses and stating the obvious.  May you never wonder why you don't get merit.
9904  Other / Meta / Re: I am flabbergasted that it actually happens on this scale on: April 24, 2018, 08:58:04 PM
You have given away so much merit in drips and draps, you are telling me you are not a merit source?

You can easily hide posts from certain users on facebook.
I will gladly tell you I'm not a merit source, because it's a true one.  I'm not.  From the very beginning I've supported the merit system; I believe in it, and thus I try to give out all the merits I have to people who deserve them.  I've given out all the ones that were airdropped in January and all the sMerits I've earned from people who gave them to me.  But no, I'm not a source.  Did you ever see me apply to be one?  I didn't, because then I'd have the responsibility to give them out and I just don't want that (though it's crossed my mind).

As to the second part of what I quoted here, I think Facebook is one of the most evil creations ever shat out upon mankind and I won't have anything to do with it--so I'm not aware of what you can and can't do on the site.  I did have an account, briefly, years ago, but I've forgotten much of how it works.  Never had a Twitter account.

And if you can block friends from posting bounty-type spam (and I'm sure that's exactly what sane people do), how effective are these bounties in advertising?  These spammers are participating in dozens of bounties at once and probably employing alt accounts within the same bounty, and that's a massive amount of spam.  I can't imagine who wouldn't block people from posting on their FB or Twitter accounts.
9905  Other / Meta / Re: I am flabbergasted that it actually happens on this scale on: April 24, 2018, 08:10:18 PM
When those Bounty Hunters come across your thread!  Grin
<snip pic>
This forum is dead due to the insane bawnty hunters registering and spamming to the core for 50-100$. We will never get back a clean forum as it was, until bawnty hunters leave this forum or the whole lot of Btc and Alt Discussion boards are moved to Trashcan.
LOL.  Can somebody give this guy a merit for me?  And this appraisal is spot-on too.

I am thankful that most of the idiotic bounty posters confine themselves to spam threads, and only come to excellent sections like Meta when they want to take their chances sophisticatedly-begging for merits, which they don't ever get.  It's unfortunate that they're ruining the largest section of bitcointalk (Bitcoin Discussion), but I just stay away from there.

These people do spam social media like nothing else, and I'd be pissed if I had friends who polluted my Twitter feed with this crap, or my Facebook wall.  As I mentioned, I don't use either one of those services, so I'm good.
9906  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion : Merit Jail on: April 24, 2018, 06:53:18 PM
OP, I respect your idea but I'd much prefer we bring back the actual newbie jail instead.  Maybe restrict noobs to a section where they can't get paid for running a signature, can't earn merit, or both.  Maybe have their exit from said jail contingent upon activity or something like that, I don't know.

The real problem is that there are too many accounts being registered, and they begin spamming from day one--and then they start getting paid for it as soon as they rank up to Jr. Member and can join one of these god-awful altcoin bounties.

Either way, it would be great if we could at least try something even if it's not perfect.  Then at least we'd know if it works.
9907  Economy / Reputation / Re: This just too much!!! Tried to defend myself and The Pharmacist painted me red! on: April 24, 2018, 09:11:46 AM
That is why after 110 days I wrote another post in my reputation thread and was tagged for "winning" by The Pharmacist.
No.  It's "whining".  You really have a problem with quoting things.

I just try to explain what happened. If you know any different and better way to do it please tell me and I will do it.

Sure.  Make damn sure what's in the quotation marks is correct.  You're too idiotic to even see what's wrong.  You're sloppy.  Youre nagging me and others to remove feedback but you're demonstrating no awareness of what the real problem is:  YOU.

Edit: I'm taking pity on you and removing my feedback, but you have to realize what the rule is about quoting posts and not to be sloppy.  Part of me thinks you made an honest mistake because of the way you prefaced your 'plagiarism'.

9909  Other / Meta / Re: How to get free merit on: April 24, 2018, 01:21:08 AM
They have some source that have their own speculation before they will send you a merit. You need your post is informative to others that have a great proof. Your post is helpful for the user have a question. The merit is everywhere so be a productive user and reward you a merit.
*BOOM*  Ignore.

Why do you guys feel the need to intrude in these threads on merit?  Just stop posting this bizarro-world BS, because it doesn't add anything and there's no way you're going to earn merits by doing so.  What's going to happen is that you'll end your chances of receiving merit from people, because you're going to end up on people's ignore list.
9910  Other / Meta / Re: Can we have a list of members who give merit to bounty programmes on: April 23, 2018, 10:47:34 PM
I probably need to review my ignore list. <snip> Maybe I should restrict the list to merit abusers, unintelligible posters and others attempting to cheat the forum.
Yeah, I periodically need to take people I've added off of it as well.  Usually I put people on ignore when I'm visiting Bitcoin Discussion, because that section is a repository of carbon-copy, cookie-cutter crap.  People's posts all say the same thing within a given thread, and I tell myself that there's never going to be anything worth reading from them--and then they'll post in Meta and they're not as illiterate as I thought.

People are just so motivated to crank out the posts because of bounties and campaigns that they'll drop a whole bunch of shitposts that are easy to write and have zero substance.

The problem is that there are so many new accounts being created, making shitposts, and you can't add them to your ignore list fast enough.
9911  Other / Meta / Re: Merit became a business. What to do? on: April 23, 2018, 09:27:40 PM
thats why me gets no merits till now even after good suggestive and usefull posts
No, you're getting no merits because your grasp of English is so bad that you even screwed up your username.

I can't believe how utterly moronic these people are, that they really think that because they "workhard" that they're somehow entitled to get merits, and that they see nothing wrong with garbage shitposts like

me too afraid to invest my BTC was thinking and thinking to invest but  slowly slowly btc going down and im in loss so do as much as quick and correct discussion as soon as possible ...

I can't even understand the first fucking 6 words of that post, so there's no way I would even continue reading it, much less actually award merits for it.  This guy is probably a 12 year old Filipino kid, picking his nose and wheedling his mother for pocket change.  Even worse, it's probably family who introduced him to bitcointalk.
9912  Economy / Reputation / Re: I never expected this on: April 23, 2018, 07:07:38 PM
okay, let's do what you're asking ,but I don't quite understand what needs to be done ?

I didn't use it.

Xarly1, member since 2011, doesn't understand how to sign a message or the significance of doing so.  Mmm-hmm.  But in 2011, xarly1 seemed VERY knowledgeable about bitcoin, and seemed to be a miner:

Im a student software enginier what i start whit bitcoin.
im building a new pc for mining, well, really crappy pcs whit good cards   Grin. when i get more money will mount really dedicated servers.
im testing also all pools(bitclockers, btcguild, deepbit...), for work only whit the most rentable, and for now the best seems deepbit.
sry for my bad english, but im seeing subforums for all languages.

Liar.

Oh, and he's a typical scammer who thinks kissing my ass is going to sway me to remove a negative:
and the fact that you are faithful cryptologist , so please fix this error
Not happening, and it's not an error.
9913  Economy / Reputation / Re: I never expected this on: April 23, 2018, 09:28:37 AM
but it's useless, and honestly I respect for your red trust  Cool
I love how you edited that.  You initially wrote "I don't care about your red trust" and before I replied I wanted to take a look at the Ambt Token campaign.  By the time I made it back here it was changed to something you really don't mean, which is further proof of you not being honest.

Looks like you got booted from the Ambt campaign.  Score one for the good guys, eh?
9914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any signature bounty campaign for newbies ?? on: April 23, 2018, 08:24:17 AM
I don't think our main concern here should be about the absence of a signature campaign for a newbie. I mean, hello? There's a newbie wanting to do signature campaigns.
No shit.  The net result of allowing so many filthy vagabonds to stick some scammy ICO advertisement into their pecker-sized signature space, well, you can take a look at the posts in this thread alone.  I'm going to say this:  I hope everyone in this thread drops dead.

Now, do you think anybody is going to read that, get offended and tell me to go jump in a lake?  Nope.  Nobody is ever going to read this post, especially not these spammers who are posting here.

Theymos needs to get rid of these shitty bounties.  Or at least forbid anyone under Sr. Member from joining them, and there ought to be other restrictions as well.  Take a shot of Jack Daniels every time you read "You must be at least Jr. Member" in this thread, and you'll be at the hospital by the time the sun rises.
9915  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary one day? on: April 23, 2018, 07:02:59 AM
Come join the club  Grin
Hey!  I have not seen you around here in a while and did not notice you'd finally ranked up to Legendary.  Congratulation; you earned it.

I know the data is around here somewhere, but I don't know who, if anyone, ranked up to the big L last period.  If there actually were any, congrats to them too.

And TMAN, you're approaching the L Zone very soon, and not surprisingly you already have enough merits to match the activity.  Hopefully you won't have to wait until the very end of the interval like I did.  Man, when I ranked up it was so close to when Theymos started the merit system that I almost got caught on the hamster wheel.
9916  Other / Meta / Re: Am I wrong to report these topics as "Low quality spambait topic. Read OP."? on: April 23, 2018, 06:24:19 AM
Bitcoin Discussion is a repository for some of the most ridiculous combinations of words ever put together.  Some of them are so bad they're laughable, but most of the time when I'm in that section reading posts, it's not laughter that I experience.  It's pure run-to-the-bathroom revulsion (slight exaggeration).

Take a look at the most recent feedback I've left.  I think I uncovered a bunch of accounts that were either hacked or bought, and they're all accounts from 2010-2014.  I won't mention exactly how I found them all, so I don't give the shitposters any ideas on how to cloak their spamming--though it'd be very hard for them to do so--but let's just say that their posts, across all of those accounts, were very similar in style.  And the style was pure shit.

If mprep is reading this, please take a look at my recent left feedback.  It took quite some time to do all of that, and I'm not done.  The posts probably should have been reported as well, but I'm beat and my eyes are buggy again.
9917  Economy / Reputation / Re: TRULY YOURS IS GUILTY HAVING AN ALT ACCOUNTS! on: April 22, 2018, 10:17:05 PM
he is accusing me that i am going to sell my alt accounts, without any proofs such speculation is stupidity.
I suspect you are going to do just that, yes, but that isn't why I left you all that feedback.  I left it because of this.

It did immediately strike me that you might have been registering usernames with ones that might be popular later on, and those like "crypto____" would likely be more desired than some others.  It appeared to me that you were forming a portfolio of sorts, of bitcointalk accounts.

You can continue to try to get me off of DT, and I wish you well.  Wouldn't be the first time, as you know.  I would accept that graciously--probably more so than I did the first time.  But while I'm on it I plan on trying to help clean up the forum the best I can.  I'm not going to continue to tag individual shitposters, but people who have confirmed (or strongly suspected) alt accounts who are spamming nonsense in order to profit at bitcointalk's expense?  Yeah, I don't feel badly about tagging them.  They shouldn't be trusted.  Especially not when they do what you did, which was to use multiple accounts to say essentially the same thing in the same thread.  That's toxic.

On a related note, look at this thread.  This right here shows how bad this problem is.  I realize "bounty" could mean social media ones, but my guess is that signature campaigns are lumped into the answers, which are disheartening.  These people will spam anything in order to get paid.  Let 'em do it on Facebook and Twitter and leave bitcointalk alone.

Should The Pharmacist leave negatives for people who spam?
I'm not making it a habit.  His posts and some others I found yesterday were particularly egregious.

Spams should be a 7day ban or anythigng else, but to tag my accounts with reds without trying to scam people? that is purely BS.
Spammers and scammers always feel they're entitled to dictate the consequences after they're caught.
9918  Economy / Reputation / Re: TRULY YOURS IS GUILTY HAVING AN ALT ACCOUNTS! on: April 22, 2018, 09:46:54 PM
For those who don't know what this guy is talking about, see all of his spam here.

I GOT MY BALLS AND MY WORD
OK whatever, Tony Montana.

If you can get me removed from DT, go for it.  But it is spammers like you who are a bleeding hemmorhoid on the ass of bitcointalk.  I would invite everyone to click on the above link to see all of the spamming you did, which not only contributes nothing to the forum, but actually makes finding good posts harder by putting up a spammy, shitpost obstacle course to be navigated in order to do it.

I have no doubt you think bitcointalk would be better off it you were allowed to do this, but there are a great many people here who would vehemently disagree with you.

If you dont want spam you shouldnt be logged in
Are you actually looking to garner support with your words?
I admit the fact that i did spam posting
OK then.
9919  Economy / Services / Re: [BUY] Native English proofreading on: April 22, 2018, 09:34:06 PM
I regularly write scientific articles and would like to make sure that they are grammatically correct.
If you're looking for proofreading of scientific articles, keep me in mind.  I have a background in science (chemistry & medicine mostly), and if you peruse my post history you'll see that I tend to be meticulous about my language use.  Do I make mistakes?  Sure.  But I am certainly qualified to proofread, and I would do a good job for you.

Send me a PM if you're interested.
9920  Other / Meta / Re: What a heroic act should i do to get 100 merits on: April 22, 2018, 09:29:13 PM
Write I will suck cock for merits on your chest and back in pink lipstick, then write Pharmacist on one leg and Lauda on the other., that's part one.
Bonus merits if everything is spelled correctly.

Part two is to get one of your pajeet buddies to film you walking around a major city shirtless wearing shorts and saying that you will suck cock for merits.
Now this I would absolutely love to see, but I don't want any of us to get blamed for suborning disorderly conduct.  If, however, someone were to do this on their own, without the promise that they'd receive merit from me, I absolutely, positively, very willingly, MIGHT hand out some merits--if I had them to give.  Right now I only have one, and perhaps I might start saving them up for such an occasion.  Heh.
