9901  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Paying with Btcoin on: November 11, 2017, 06:31:30 AM
You only can do that in few countries in which Bitcoin is legalized already. Beside in which countries Bitcoin is legalized already, you can use Bitcoin to pay or purchase anything you want but in other country where Bitcoin is not legalized yet, you will have to exchange it into local currency to pay or purchase and it's the same with my country.
Even in some of the countries where bitcoin is legalized, just few of these institutions are really collecting bitcoin for fees and I heard globally, Nicosia has the highest number of institutions so far that receives bitcoin as payment.
It is a matter of time before we start seeing some of these institutions and even merchants all over the world springing up and I feel we will get there pretty soon.

This is want I also do to be able to used my bitcoin as a payment scheme. I just have to convert it to fiat and then pay my monthly bills. Haven't heard of Nicosia though but I will be happy to used my bitcoin there. It could really be just a matter of time before a lot of online stores or even local business to accept our bitcoin. I think it will just need one big online retailers to start the trend of accepting bitcoin and the rest of the middle store will follow as well, specially if that big online store's became famous because of their acceptance of bitcoins.
9902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Relationships! on: November 11, 2017, 05:58:59 AM
My wife and I always gambles together in a land based casino, well most of the time. We have our ups and downs not just in gambling but in our relationship as well. But we are still together though. Yes, you will have a lot of money problems because both of us are addicted to it. Specially if both of us are really losing on the same night. But if times that I was winning, and she was losing, then it negates my winnings unless both of us are really winning. As a have said its very difficult but we have been doing it the last 8 years or so and a lot of things have changed already. We also gambles one a week only and we only play the money that we can afford to lose.
9903  Economy / Economics / Re: Roger Ver goes full blown BCash on: November 11, 2017, 04:17:47 AM
Whatever is happening with BCash, it appears to be a coordinated effort. Its likely something Roger Ver and friends have been planning for a long time. The most likely explanation is BCash will follow in the footsteps of ethereum. There will be a big spike. Followed by dump. Roger Ver and friends will ride away with the lion's share of profits. Then BCash will sit idle and not move much as eth has for the last few months. Ethereum may have already showed the blueprint for where BCash's future lies.

Interesting.

And, it seems like a very real possibility.

However, thinking again about it, for ETH it might not be a bad time to slowly accumulate and then wait for the next pump. There are so many ERC-20 tokens out there, and more every day. It's going to keep ETH in demand.

This isn't new with Roger Ver, he's been trying to make Bitcoin Cash the new Bitcoin for a long time now. Only now, but his and his teams efforts is he going to be able to somewhat get his way as people are already going on the crusade about how BCC is the new Bitcoin Which all of us know isn't true.

I really want to know what kind of planning went into this to make this price increase, and the social media posts, something that is pretty hard to do with billions in marketcap - what BCC had.

Can anyone explain?

I don't know for certain, but there are a lot of Bitcoin-hate propaganda out right now. These have mostly died down as Bitcoin Cash remained dormant for the most part, but people are saying that Segwit2x backers are rallying to support BCH. It seems to me like they have convinced Segwit2x supporters to dump Bitcoin for Bitcoin Cash. This really couldn't have gone unplanned though, as it seems like nothing short of market manipulation.

For me it looks like a coordinated attack indeed. The timing is perfect. Suddenly BCH is being pumped and there is only few individual who we can really name as the one manipulating the price right now. I saw post all over as well, so I conclude that its a well planned attack. Even here in the forum you will see a lot shills propagating the BCH is the real bitcoin. We may see these attacks coming in as days passes. I still remember when ETH already rose to a new ATH and almost touches bitcoin marketcap. A lot of paid shills coming to the forum and preaching that the so called "flippening" is going to happened. But it didn't. So same thing will happen here. They will try to attack, but they won't succeed.
9904  Economy / Speculation / Re: Investing in BTC, ETH , BCH or XRP on: November 11, 2017, 04:10:47 AM
So I am planning on putting 25,000 USD to Buy cryptocurrencies  to hold for long term. Is it a bad time to invest in those crypto-currencies?

if its right time, whats your suggestion ? Buy bitcoin / ethereum / Bitcoin Cash / Ripple ? mixed or just one? how much of each ?

is it good to wait until bitcoin fork ( 15 november ) or not ?

i remember the time i had 100 BTC and i sell them just 30,000 USD, i dont want to lose the next chance, so i need to invest

Fork is already postponed so you need to rethink your options:

1. Bitcoin - for me its the best choice among the coins you have mentioned, You said that you have 10 BTC before, but you are not a believer that's why you sold. Now is the perfect time to get it while is it still cheap. Maybe around 50-60% of your total capital is a good start. But remember you should be on it for the long term.

2. ETH - for altcoins I would recommend this coins as well. But again, it's been a roller coaster ride for ETH this year. Also good for long term.

3. BCC/Ripple - not sure of those, if you are planning for a pump and dump and take home profits, then maybe this is a better choice. Just for short term only, you don't want to be trap when their is a dump so be careful.
9905  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-09] Citigroup’s CEO Predicts State-Sponsored Digital Currency on: November 11, 2017, 03:50:47 AM
So as what we all suspected, bankers really perceived bitcoin as a threat to their financial systems. But where are their basis? LOL, Cyptocurrency or Digital Currency, it doesn't make any difference, and even the term "cryptocurrency" is a threat to them. But as far as state sponsored digital currency, I haven't seen any country yet, not that I know of, becoming successful on their creation of their own digital currency. Russia has already set in motion their plan, however, as I understand it, it is heavily taxes at around 13% if I'm not mistaken. As a casual, who will buy those coins?
9906  Economy / Exchanges / Re: do u know about the XBrick exchange?? on: November 11, 2017, 02:47:16 AM
hey guys, ;)I wanna find some good cryptcurrency exchanges for me to exchange myBTC coin  ,and I just heard about XBrick exchange. Huh...
it's the public information about this exchange...

can u give me some advice???

XBrick has been developed independently by its technical team who have extensive experience in crypto currency and blockchain technologies.
XBrick offers multiple languages to users from all around the world, supports an automatic KYC identity verification procedure, adopts the bank-standard SSL encrypted data transfer and multi-clustered system architecture, and applies the cold storage system for crypto wallet management.
The high-performance trading engine of XBrick is capable of processing more than 2 million orders per second. XBrick aims to provide secure, stable and convenient global crypto currency exchange services.
Website:https://www.xbrick.io

Looks like a fairly new exchanges so I'm not familiar and haven't heard about it before. But just be careful on using this site. I can't find a decent review about it, I'm not saying its a scam site, just be cautious. If you really want to try them then just convert small amounts and see how it goes. All the trusted exchanges have a ANN thread here, never seen one for XBrick. And all news that I'm seeing from them in the web is all marketing. No solid reviews as of yet.
9907  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy BTC at 6500 or wait to go lower? on: November 11, 2017, 02:28:35 AM
Should I buy BTC on 6500, or wait to possibly go even lower?

The price is already a discount. Why wait for the floor price? If you really wanted to wait, then I suggest you buy in small portions and see how the market goes. The price is continuing to drop, but getting it in portions is also good, because you will get nice profits from doing that kind of strategy. If you wait till the price goes down below $6500, there are chances that you will miss the opportunity to get it while its cheap. I have seen numerous times that people regretting not buying bitcoin because they wanted it to go lower, but unfortunately the price suddenly increase, regrets... regrets.... Don't be that dude. Start buying today if you have the funds.

Is the Blockchain a perfect solution? Is it flawed? Please Comment below !

Ok we all know that blockchain is the new thing in terms of technology. And if for example, the banking system integrates or used blockchain, it will literally takes years before finally using it. Also, the cost of implementing it should also be taken in consideration. And we also know that every records in the distributed ledger are permanent and its really hard to manipulate the data, but banking systems sometimes has to do reversible transactions, if blockchain can't be manipulated, then how do the banks reverse transactions?
9909  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining Bitcoin in the Caribbean - Trinidad and Tobago on: November 11, 2017, 01:57:48 AM
Hmmm. Very interesting. It seems that bitcoin is really conquering the world as this is my first time to heard about someone from Trinidad and Tobago putting up a mining business in that country. But it looks like this thread is opened in September but we didn't got a reply or update from the OP. I was hoping that at least a good update is good to see how everything works out. Did they get the needed funding? Are they still in the business as of now?

Just be careful of scammers, you must have heard horrible stories all over the internet, never give your address of residence to strangers, first talk to the person, meet the person in public places in the sight of many people and go with escorts to serve as a witness and only after you take security measures and make sure you are safe and you can move on to other steps.

I give this advice, because in this world is full of madmen, murderers, thieves and liars.

This was want interest me, is this a total scam that the group is running? And the way the meet up should be done is a little bit sketchy to me. Anyways if they have been successful then goodluck to their business.
9910  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [17-11-10]Japan’s Legalization of BTC Led to Rapid Surge in Mainstream Adoption on: November 11, 2017, 01:43:41 AM
Japan is the leading country when it comes to Bitcoin and it might be succeeding in the mainstream adoption where other countries are still trailing with. The thing here is that if a country is looking for a model of how to treat and work with Bitcoin, then they should look at Japan as it is now classified a mega-success. While some well-meaning personalities are concluding that Bitcoin is just a fad or a bubble due to lack of mainstream adoption (especially that of the merchants and customers interaction), Japan is proven them so wrong.

I am sure that the excitement and the buzz generated by Bitcoin in Japan is just the tip of the iceberg...there is certainly a bigger and wider Bitcoin boom coming in Japan. And we have to thank its government and its people for such a very warm welcome and acceptance by both the end-users and the many merchants (and the list is growing!).

It is just apt that the creator of Bitcoin is having a Japanese name -- Satoshi Nakamoto must have envisioned that one day it would be Japan that would lead the way for Bitcoin adoption. Arigato!

I'm sure that Japan is the leader in terms of Bitcoin being used in that country. Stores, restaurants accepting it as payment option is really nice. However, other nation have some serious doubts that they would rather put a hammer ban or have a tighter regulations. That's why it never ceases to amazed me how Japan did it in less than a year. They are really a role model but I don't know if there is another country that will truly embrace bitcoin as what Japan is doing. Although Australia has a similar stance, we haven't seen them as a major force in bitcoin market still. I hope that someday another nation will rise and made a impact to bitcoin so that we will have a foot on the mass adoption that we are really hoping for.
9911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin undergoing a correction? on: November 11, 2017, 01:10:48 AM
Its down over $500 from yesterday and seems like its going to go down more. I hope not.

Most likely yes, the market is undergoing a price correction. Its now down to $6500 from the previous highs of $7000++. I guess everyone is not surprised to see the price drop as the Segwit2x anticipation, which drove the price to a massive bullrun is already postponed. Investors are shifting and moving their funds somewhere else, to altcoins and simply taking profit. I guess you bought bitcoin at high's, but don't worry and just stay calm and just hold on your bitcoin. This correction is also temporary and we might see the price rising up again in the next coming days.
9912  Economy / Economics / Re: Indonesian Ban on: November 10, 2017, 06:13:27 PM
Indonesian not banned bitcoin, but not believe bitcoin as payment.
no clarity take by government. but many people still use bitcoin for transaction.
they afraid bitcoin will defeat bank Grin. and i think its funny reason

Well its not funny for them because for them, bitcoin is really a big threat to banks. You will noticed that a lot of CEO of big banks are now bashing bitcoin wherein last year you don't hear them talking negative or not talking about bitcoin in particular. But since bitcoin is soaring and became popular it makes sense for them to really attack because it is a perceived threat. However, for us, bitcoin enthusiast, bitcoin is no threat because it can't harm them but instead it just offer as a alternative payment for common people like you and me. But Indonesia government think otherwise. They have already believed what others said about bitcoin that why they don't like it.
9913  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: btc target on: November 10, 2017, 05:42:39 PM
BTC is falling down now. Its price is just $6800. This is the most suitable time to buy it. Certainly, It will recover soon on December.

Yes, the price is dropping significantly and we don't know what will be the floor price. Quite surprise though to see Bitcoin Cash price going up, and I don't know why traders are suddenly shifting to his coin. Maybe someone or a group of people are playing with it and pumping the price and later dump it for profit. But what a price swing today, $6B marketcap already wipe out. People are really cashing it out today. Again its almost weekend and we usually this kind of phenomena specially approaching weekends. Bitcoin now is just above $6700 and I guess it will continue to drop. But just the same, its not good to sell today, but wait till the price floor and buy it.
9914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: November 10, 2017, 05:10:11 PM
Another 2 bad defeats for Cleveland (against Houston) and Oklahoma (against Denver), respectively tenth and twelfth in their conference.
Really impressive this disastrous start of the season for these 2 teams. Cleveland will surely go to the playoffs while Oklahoma will also have to fight this year to enter the playoffs.

Amazing match for Harden who made a triple double (his second this season, the 33rd in his career): 35 points 13 assists 11 rebounds and 5 steals!
only Michael Jordan in 1989 had achieved these 4 results in 1 match

Really funny how the cavs are losing all these games with a pumped lineup like that even without isaiah. It seems that they not clicking collectively and that shows you that superteams arrn't enough to guarantee a championship

Not clicking and really bad defense I think contributed for their miserable start this season. Let's see in the next game. They gonna host the Mavericks, which is the worst team with 2-10 record. If in any cases, Cleveland loses this one, I think heads will roll, or we are going to see new coach in the coming days. I read somewhere that they have the same faith in 2014-2015, started with 5-7 but they were able to reach the finals that year losing to Golden State. But we can't compare their line up to todays line up though. Its still early, but if you are fan of Cleveland, this is quite alarming.
9915  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-11]Bitcoin slides by over $1000 in less than 48 hours on: November 10, 2017, 04:29:24 PM
If anyone is expecting a crash, it should be happening by now, but its not the case, the price is still above $6900 which is very much OK. We have put so much faith on Segwit2x that we totally forgot that a correction could happened anytime. And with its postponement, its just about time. But the price is still experiencing some price swings and its not a total crash. What most traders do though is to shift to Bitcoin Cash which is very dangerous because once its pump, it will going to crash so hard. So just be careful you don't know when the big boys gonna dump Bitcoin Cash.
9916  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Amazon accepting Bitcoin - What can go wrong? on: November 10, 2017, 02:08:21 PM
We don't even know if people will use that option in the first place. I'm sure most compulsive HODLers would much rather use their credit card or something. One of the reasons Amazon might not be accepting bitcoin is because it would not see much use, and there's very little pressure for them to pull the trigger.
Yeaaa that's why they have a plan to have a different place for crypto user by bought three different domain names relating to digital currencies.
Pretty reasonable move for them to not accept crypto directly and have such a smart plan.
Actually don't know what will happened then , that's just my point of view.
@Opquar

We don't know if people will use that option in first place, but to offer it doesn't require that people must use it in the first place. You sound like it would be a huge operation to install this payment option while it isn't!

@RealPhotoshoper

That Amazon doesn't want accept bitcoin directly is very interesting info because I already assume that they have deep ties to banks and governments and that would explain why they didn't offer it yet.
If i am not wrong there is a lot of discussion about the pros and cons how if amazon adopt bitcoin as a payment gateaway.
Mostly says it is scared , bitcoin is a dangerous thing , a non sense thing created on the internet etc.
The point is there a lot of feedback on how they don't want to support the project , but it was long time ago. Today might they have different plan to deal with bitcoin , i hope so.

The latest news we got is that they are still not getting to accept bitcoin as a payment method. And I'm sure that they have look at every angle of the pros and cons of accepting it, however, from their business perspective, its unlikely that they will give in to the petition. However, I'm still positive that maybe in the future, then can sorted things out and one day accept bitcoin as payment. Because it will be another boom in their business as bitcoin is slowly gaining a wider acceptance now. It will just be a matter of time.
9917  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining in 2017? on: November 10, 2017, 01:28:02 PM
Bitcoin mining is a huge investment. Maybe next year more of us can go to asic mining because of a value of bitcoin. But is more difficulties if many of us are going to asic. Asic mining is good if you have huge money and you will see the income if you're electricity bill is not too expensive.
I have also read from the web of the high expense of using Asic mines. What do you think is an alternative mining setup that is cheaper but still produce good returns?

If you really want to profit from mining then you have no choice but to really buy those expensive mining hardware such as Asic.  That's why most of the posters here have said that you need to have huge capital to begin with and take in consideration the cost of electricity. Are you willing to cough out money in order to get profit? Then for me its really makes sense to buy premium mining gear instead of looking for alternative because they won't give you a good returns as compare to Asics latest models. IMHO.
9918  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fork gone! BTC to $10k in 2017 guaranteed! on: November 10, 2017, 12:08:48 PM
The uncertainty and general possible mayhem of the fork was the only thing standing in the way of $10,000 BTC by end of 2017. Now with the fork removed I think we are guaranteed to hit it in December.

How high do you think it'll go before end of year? If Bitcoin keeps its average pace this year it'll hit $11,000 roughly on the last day of the year.

I don't think that $11000 is possible for this year. I speculate that maybe in the ball park of $8000-$9000 is fairly a conservative estimate. Also correction is going to happen or is happening now, its below $7000 and I think it's possible to see it drop a few more in the coming days. Segwit2x is already postponed, and we should be expecting this kind of correction to happened soon. But to really push to $10000 at the end of the year, we need another fresh breath of positive news, however, I'm not seeing any except for Amazon accepting bitcoin but it looks like they have shoot down that idea. Its just days before the end of the year, there are a lot of  things that are going to happened by for me, $8000-$9000 tops for this year.
9919  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-08] RUSSIA STARTS BLOCKING CRYPTOCURRENCY-FOCUSED SITES on: November 10, 2017, 11:07:57 AM
LOL. Just like what I have said months and months ago, Russia is anti-bitcoin. That's why I wasn't surprised to find this kind of moved from them. This is just the first step, later they will really go and put the hammer ban on everything crypto's. And those who still believed that Putin and Russia is supporting bitcoin, then you have to think your stance. Because as much as we want Russia to accept cryptocurrencies, they won't simply because it can't be controlled. That's why I find it funny about comments, saying that Putin will support it, I sorry but it won't be happening. But for our Russian community, I think OTC or some underground bitcoin trading is the only options to do for now.
9920  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BITMAIN-ALLIANCE.COM on: November 10, 2017, 08:04:52 AM
Couldn't find anything negative or positive about them.  The other weird thing I found out beside their virtual rented office is their email address.  Their email address is bit.alliance@yahoo.com

Using Yahoo as your business email address does not build much confidence.

LOL. Using Yahoo as a business email address is already a red flag for me. They can't even paid for their own email address, WTF?

I can't find a decent review as well, maybe because the site is just up and running since Sept only. I can't say for certain if they are scam or not, but based on what you have found, for me those red flags should be take seriously and its a risk if you ever are going to invest on it so just careful and used common sense.
