9921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP IS A SECURITY, LITECOIN HAS ‘NO REASON TO EXIST,’ ETHEREUM IS THE BEST — SAY on: July 03, 2018, 09:48:34 AM
Not even going to read that. I have never heard of Multicoin capital but from the suggested name meaning, it means they probably invested in a lot of different alts, so think they have an expert opinion. I bet they're hurting from the market bear now and have all their eggs almost in ETH to say such a thing. What makes me upset about it is to say Litecoin has no reason to exist. Yes, it's an altcoin that does everything Bitcoin does, but in a cheaper, faster, different way. So what if that was its sole purpose? At least it has use and a community. XRP just complained that nobody was using it.
9922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can we destroy an ERC20 Token? on: July 03, 2018, 09:14:37 AM
Hi Tipstar & Anycoin Direct Support:

Thank you for your reply.

Tipstar,It is not yet on public circulation.  how to burn it by sending to to a burn address?

Can we burn the token using this method? https://medium.com/@hodl50/how-to-burn-tokens-with-mew-bbf279a09798

That instruction is only for hodltoken... which means it won't work for any other tokens. You've to understand that as explained above, it's got to be a predetermined function of the smart contract. If you create a token, then yes, you can always destroy it by setting parameters that allow for it (burning). Some projects do this to control circulation. If you didn't create a token, then you can't burn it, simple as that, unless the creators gave you a direction (like your post above).
9923  Economy / Gambling / Re: GoUp.bet | Provably Fair Dice | 10 LTC Promo will Start from Tomorrow on: July 02, 2018, 03:54:47 PM
Hi there! Just came back to play and everything is okay today. I saw that you responded to my previous post where bets couldn't be made but it all looks fine today. The only problem is the betting payout max has been lowered or something? I tried x25 and even x15 and message comes out Error: High Payout. I tried 1 satoshi and 400 satoshi, same result. Is there a reason? I like high payout bets Smiley
9924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: There are more withdrawals than deposits at Coinbase! on: July 02, 2018, 03:05:49 PM
Doesn't say much to me. Remember, a lot of the activity that could be happening is withdrawal of profits too, and simply that most traders deposit once and trade a lot, and withdraw many times. It's sort of how trading works, unless you're doing it wrongly.

Coinbase is also losing out on popularity. It's just US. How about take a look at something more global like Binance and see what's going on there? Anyway, this milking accusation has been around forever. Deal with it.
9925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How foolish are people who invest in Bitcoin? on: July 02, 2018, 08:01:21 AM
That is why I only buy what I can afford to lose. If lose all my investments I don't really mind. But if you sold all you have or if you buy more than you can afford to lose then problems will arise. You will feel bad about your loss and can't eat or sleep properly. Bitcoin is risk and you should have known that before getting into it.

Great reminder to everyone here. Yes, many of us have hopes and we have found a great new way to gain control over our finances but let us not forget that Bitcoin is still a huge experiment, and yes it is successful so far, but the results are not all conclusive yet.

Don't forget we still have a life worth living. Dreams to pursue, families to build, ambitions. We haven't the privilege of throwing everything away for the chance to become millionaires. Money isn't everything. Bitcoin isn't everything. I hope it becomes something even bigger tomorrow, one day, never know. But our lives are so much more important than all of that.
9926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy the dip, or have someone else do it for you... on: July 02, 2018, 06:45:11 AM
Yeah, too risky. I was myself about to trigger some instincts when Bitcoin touched 5900 last week, looking at some fantastic prices of alts, but then the 10% recovery that we're experiencing now tells me I didn't lose *that much*, especially when I was going to spend at most a couple of hundred dollars on some alts with low volume. Probably best to just hold on to my cash and hold on to what I have. I set some buys below those prices and if market continues to dip, they might trigger, if not, I already have enough to grow.
9927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's FIFA World Cup Pool Discussion Thread on: July 02, 2018, 04:55:48 AM
How was that extra time take-out not a red card? None of the commentators even remarked on it. The Danish player knew he was off as well. Last man, open goal, tackle from behind, no chance of getting the ball. Probably had no intention to as well. He did what he had to do, but that was a clear red in my opinion.

I got a grand total of 66 points today and all from that game for getting the two goals.

The goalkeepers were very good (the second game). And I know about the red card right? Was it really that two years ago they changed the rules? If it's that long I guess it must not have transferred to other leagues because I'm 100% certain I saw red cards for last man tackle in some other league, maybe german league or english.

But thanks for pointing out trofo, how is it I never knew this. I think the red is sometimes harsh when the last man is not certain to score. But in this case, he was 90% sure to score. Beat the keeper, nobody else to run past, goal direct in front. That must have been a red card, but maybe also because Jorgeson got the ball?
9928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: LOOKING TO HIRE Someone for Redding Posting & General Tasks — 750ADM/Week. on: July 01, 2018, 04:04:34 PM
I would highly recommend you to consider the limit you are asking for, for many reasons. The first is, having 50 a day is definitely asking for more than 8 hours. Let's say you do 1 per 10 minutes to avoid spam, this means 6 per hour. That's just over 8 hours a day for 7 days for maybe $120 a week? That's practically slavery.

Secondly, do you really want to spam your project on reddit? You're going to get downvoted and have a bad reputation.

Thirdly, quality. After 2 or 3 posts, the rest are going to be spam. For sure. 100%. You're going to be guilty of paying for spam.

Keep the payment at $120. But make it more reasonable. 50 posts a week maybe is doable (that's average of 7 a day) but I would say 2 or 3 a day max on ADM is advisable. Even signature campaigns have 20-50 posts a week requirement but they don't have to shill for the project.

9929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: July 01, 2018, 12:00:34 PM
France and Uruguay deserved victory, they play very good with an excellent game from young Kylian Mbappé for France and Edinson Cavani for Uruguay.
It was really impressive what Mbappé made for his team, in front of this young player is an excellent football future. Too bad that Cavani get injured last night, I hope he will be ready in six days for big match with France.

Today we can expect two good game also, Spain will try to win against host Russia, but based on their group performances Russia will not be easy rival for them. Maybe we can see game with lot of scores, Spain is have very weak defense ( 3 goals from Portugal/2 from Maroco ).

In second game Croatia vs. Denmark, it should be very hard game because Denmark is known as a very strong opponent with 17 games unbeaten in a row. I think it is perfect time for Croatia to win and break this series only by the law of large numbers, and some quality on their side.

Yes, I was very pleased with the Uruguay match, even won me a nice bet on the score, but less pleased that Messi and co now have to fly home. I know everyone has been knocking on Messi since the tournament started but it's totally unfair. Anyway, France deserved it more, I knew Mbappe was good but this stage always tests the best and he came out on top, even above Pogba.

So, golden boot, I hope someone other than Kane takes it, I like him and England but to win it on penalties and that weird deflected goal is not really nice. I suppose Senegal will also say it's not nice to get knocked out on yellow cards, so many "not nice" ways to win and lose in this World Cup.

Denmark or Croatia. Yes, very tough call. I didn't realize Denmark had such a good record, but I still put Croatia up for a win and clean sheet.
9930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Attention bounty hunters - Amazix is scam! on: July 01, 2018, 10:07:04 AM
Not part of any bounty campaigns (except for signature as you can tell), but from what I've seen so far coming up in Amazix complaints, most of the bounty hunters, including the ones posting in this thread, don't seem to have a case. I mean, OP's post actually admits plagiarism, which gets you Red Trust and even ban on this forum.

And the second complaint, managers have the right to change stakes and ratings, as they see fit. That's their job. Why would they scam you when bounty allocations are fixed? As in, all bounties go to participants. Not to managers. This is for all managers.

Most bounty hunters complain, and I have no sympathies for them. They have poor content, poor work ethics, and have no regard for the actual project they promote.
9931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Exchange crypto-currency LocalTrade on: July 01, 2018, 09:49:32 AM
I was just liking what I saw... but I have to say, that having that mining option makes me a little less confident about the long term prospects for this business. You have to understand that exchange itself as a service is a full time service. It might be possible now to manage mining aspects at the side, but once the site grows and support tickets increase, you'll realize you have to choose to enhance and focus on 1 service. Mining should not take away your resources. Just my opinion.
9932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much have you lost during this bloodbath? on: July 01, 2018, 07:52:52 AM
Honestly, I haven't lost anything in this bloodbath. Sure, if I count all the profit I could have made in January if I sold for dollars, then I've lost so much. But that's the thing, for us holders or believers. We didn't sell yet what we held. So we haven't made profit yet, or losses on that.

Now for speculative holds, ah yes, I lost a lot on Elastic, but I also made a lot on Sia during the spikes, and Verge several times, all recovered my capital and even covered the Elastic losses. Now I just have some of all these, I could sell any time for even more profit, but will hold them "forever" now I guess.
9933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: June 30, 2018, 05:49:37 PM
Oh, what a day, what a game! I am so sad for Messi, I am so sad for Argentina, mainly because I lost a lot of bets on them hehe but really, I wanted Messi to have his World Cup so he could sleep well at night, after all he has fought for, carrying them to qualification, but it proved to much. On a good note, good to see that others also finally stepped up. 4-3 and conceding that early penalty is not a shameful defeat.
9934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Neo/Stellar/Komodo/Waves : questions on how i may HODL safely thoses coins. on: June 30, 2018, 05:05:42 PM
Well, if you trust the project already, then you can trust that the wallet they provide or show on their respective websites are about as safe as you could possibly find. You have to trust that. Download from the source directly, check the signature of the wallet to verify (usually published on Github).

For MEW, you can install and run offline. Then you know your private keys are safe.

In any case, open source that has exploits will be found by the community quickly.
9935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Get Your Own Private Mining Pool, Mine Any Coins of your Choice on: June 30, 2018, 04:34:12 PM
So from what I understand, this is for someone who already has a private farm... it seems to suggest that only clients with large hashpower available can look to this as a solution. Is there some option for someone who would like to enter, but on a smaller scale? Not to the point of just having a personal computer fitted out but by say, owning a proper rack with ASICs, but just a single one?
9936  Economy / Gambling / Re: GoUp.bet | Provably Fair Dice | 1% HOUSE EDGE | Free Withdrawal | Faucet on: June 30, 2018, 08:00:59 AM
as for the live support,I have tried to reach them twice at different time frames during the day
they responded within a minute and were ready to answer my questions
as for the admin not being present 24/7 at a site...kind of obvious he should not be,unless its his only thing in life that he cares about Smiley
the site is very new, give it a break, come back and judge in a couple of weeks-its very common for the new sites to NOT be perfect from the get go
at least this one doesn't look like your usual "lets make a site and see how it goes"

Yes, come on guys. Give this site a break. I know we all have our favorite sites, I know we all are used to things the way they are at the big sites we use a lot, but if we don't give a chance to new sites like these, how can we ever hope to see the industry grow? Competition is good, it forces every site to improve and do better. In the end, we all benefit.

I agree, at least this site is responding and changing. So let's see!
9937  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟Bitvest🌟 - Investor Plinko, Dice, Slot, Roulette, Bitspin | ETH/LTC Launched! on: June 30, 2018, 07:47:13 AM

Congratulation bandit!

Oh that's a really, really lucky player. And yes what a bonus rain that he gave too, that's over $250 worth even at "low BTC prices" that we're experiencing today. This is what I really love about the Bitcoin gambling community. Bet big, tip big. Everybody gets to enjoy the win, so they're lucky just for being there to witness it.

And yeah, well done bandit Smiley
9938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: June 29, 2018, 10:59:19 AM
I really wanted Argentina and Uruguay to be in the finals together it was never possible anyway, so I'm still having a lot of conflict at which team to see in the final. Whoever it is that passes through has to beat Brazil first though, unless who knows, Belgium does it. Very hard to call this world cup but I don't think anyone sees England as the winner, so maybe a bet on England for the final is good like what Globbo is suggesting? Just that the way they played against Belgium doesn't give any hope.

Spain will be very happy with the progress to the finals, that is, if they can start playing like Spain again.
9939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's FIFA World Cup Pool Discussion Thread on: June 29, 2018, 10:43:25 AM
I did really well on the third matchday, I would actually have gone to 1st place if my Joker wasn't wasted on a 0 point game and was instead used on a perfect score prediction, but there we go, anybody can catch up with just 3 or 4 good score predictions. I see tokeweed and Joca are always very high up, but I think whoever make the good bracket will also have good scores, we need to wait at least until the Final I think to see who will eventually win.

Very happy with my position, thinking to use my Joker on my favorite to win, that is my secret however. I login to bracket but cannot find it. Looks like #1 and #2 are also good on brackets so well done to your guys.
9940  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 Treasure Chest Is Back! 🎰🎰🎰 on: June 29, 2018, 08:09:18 AM
Nice BlackJack wins, whoever that is. Especially that Black Jack hit on the last 2 BTC bet (to win 3!). I still like my dice, but BJ can be pretty exciting with large amounts I guess. Especially when you feel that BJ hand must be coming after a long streak of no Aces.

We should really try to invite them in to chat in here and share their experience. Not that we're complaining if they just wanna focus on their gambling with 1 day left in June to spare;)
