last game went good for me betting winning over 2 goals , also added theo picks and went for both teams to score and France -0.25 so 3/3

as I said I have Uruguay to qulaify , but looking at the odds now I will also take Uruguay to win since the odds X2.95-3.00 in different bookies and looking at the past games for both teams we can see that Uruguay played way better and Portugal was an inch away from getting knocked out by Iran

Nice call Sy. I lost my parlay, but not by too much on the Argentina game - definitely the pick of the tournament so far, almost worth having to put up with some of the group games. I wasn't even really upset by the first penalty (that has a way of ticking me off in the WC so far), and that the game went up even more notches after every goal is just the sort of reminder we need of all the abilities on display. My bracket's tearing up so far, and betting's not improving at all...

... but on the bright side, my other "favourite" from this side are through, didn't even need Suarez to score. Scored me 266 points too, though I suppose it won't do much on the table as others got even better.

I just did a 50 euros one though in sportsbet , taking both Spain and Belgium to win their games and used the price boost to get X2.34

Croatia to win and under 3.5 goals for X2.08

not confident about them to be honest , but I think they all have good value to play

I like them all except for the first bet Spain might win to nil but then again they did give up a lot of goals during the groups.

I think it is much harder to fix the match now when we are using VAR. Even if they buy the referee hr can only influence a game to cettain small degree. I am expecting comfortable win for Spain.

I'm not to sure I would get it right tho.  And my predictions too.  I suck...  I think this is the part of the betting pool when I start getting things wrong and give up.

I liked the pick since they are host team so they have the support , their players were good and fast in the past games except against Uruguay and at the end this is the world cup where a goal can easily come with a freekick or penalty
so the odds are really great IMO , Spain may humiliate Russia now with like 3 goals more but can't bet win to NIL in this stage

I managed to get only few points from the first game on one of the bonus questions.

Regarding the situation which you mentioned. They changed the rules about 2 years ago. Now if it is inside penalty area, you get awarded only penalty and the yellow card. If this was outside box. It would be direct free kick and red card. They decided that penalty is punishment enough.

Don't know if you noticed both teams made 4 substitutions today. You get extra one in extra time. New rule for this WC I believe.

It's new recommendation for referees to don't make double punishment - red card and penalty.
I got 60 points today for predicting time of first goal in Russia - Spain game. I'm stuck between 8th and 11th place. But there are still some games left...

The goalkeepers were very good (the second game). And I know about the red card right? Was it really that two years ago they changed the rules? If it's that long I guess it must not have transferred to other leagues because I'm 100% certain I saw red cards for last man tackle in some other league, maybe german league or english.

But thanks for pointing out trofo, how is it I never knew this. I think the red is sometimes harsh when the last man is not certain to score. But in this case, he was 90% sure to score. Beat the keeper, nobody else to run past, goal direct in front. That must have been a red card, but maybe also because Jorgeson got the ball?

I got this match at 1 - 0.  But we know this won't hold and I will end up with zero points again.  Yes, I already know it.  Chicharito will score a goal at injury time, and this will go to pen kick off with Mexico going thru.  Watch.

Well that's ridiculous. Even if you purposely deny a goal scoring opportunity? All it is doing is encouraging players to cheat like he did. Might as well take the player out if he's got an open goal and hope that they miss the penalty if all you're going to get is a yellow. You'd be stupid not to.

Yeah, I missed a few predictions which have really hurt me. Generally, my predictions have been OK, but I've just got the score completely wrong as there's been some real strange high scoring games. I guess this is why I don't watch too much international football, and just watch the world cup. I should probably stick to premier league games

even my handicaps today went totally the wrong side , took Mexico +1 and both teams to score also took Belgium -1.5 so not a good day at all both betting and predicting

for tomorrow I only have Sweden to qualify at X2.09 betfair price , I see this game as a coin flip where both sides are equal so I'm going with the team with higher odds to make it

I wouldn't give up. If you got a couple of correct scores then given the amount of points you get for that it would probably take you right up to the top (three probably would depending on what others get). Maybe go for some wild scores that others likely won't go for and hope for the best. I guess you've not got much to lose with the gamble. Unless I can get a couple of correct scores today I doubt I'll be able to make it into the top five though.
