9941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if employees got paid in Bitcoin? Share your opinions! on: August 19, 2015, 11:10:04 AM
Well, this is very interesting idea but my country is not ready for such a revolutionary idea.
We just got, a few months ago, our first bitcoin ATM in country.
There are very few places where you can actually spend bitcoins or use it.
Very few people use bitcoin or knows something about it.
Earlier this year, I really struggled to fill out a tax return because in my country is not yet possible to directly report earnings from the Internet.
I guess, this idea about salary in bitcoin will not become realistic in the near future.
However, I hope that this idea will soon become reality in some other countries, where the bitcoin has a much bigger foundation.

9942  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price Manipulation on: August 19, 2015, 11:01:42 AM
It seems than somebody wants to drop BTC market down to the bottom selling BTC now.
Bitcoin trading volumes are low, that's why current price manipulation is easy.
When somebody sell 5 000 BTC for a cheap price, it does not mean that other 14 000 000 BTC are cheap.
While all these Bitcoins are holded for the future, market price indicators show only the price of the last sold 5 000 BTC, not the real BTC price.

But a really huge amount of users do not understand this.

Some of the real holders will sell their BTC for lower prices. Other will not buy new BTC, because they  think that BTC price will go down deeper.

And than guys, which made a panic on a market, will buy a huge amount of cheap BTC. It will make BTC price go up to the new high rates. Than Bitcoins will be sold much higher, than it were bought.

As a result - somebody will gain a lot of Bitcoins and will receive a huge profit. The most of the usual Bitcoin users and investors will lose their money.

And the legend for the price manipulation is a fake Satoshi Nakamoto's email that Bitcoin-XT is a dangerous fork.
It's nothing. Who are Mike Hirn and Gevin Anresen? Just nobody. They want to be owners of your Bitcoins and control the whole system. Not only the funds, but the principles and freedoms.
It's clean that they wrote a fake Satoshi's email.

I can say "F#ck off!" to these guys. You can say it too and never let them a chance to control YOUR bitcoins. Just ignore xt fork and forget about it. Because XT can track your IP and you will not be anonymous anymore. XT can block your IP or account and you will lose your money. XT code can be modified at any time and it will be able even to record a video from your webcam or to steal your personal data. XT is controlled by couple of people. Original Bitcoin is not controlled by somebody.

What to do now? You can sell your Bitcoins and than you will make a BTC price go down. Than you will be able to buy more cheap BTC. But be careful - maybe right after the moment when you sold your Bitcoins, BTC price will go up immediately.

Only the one thing I can say you exactly - after falling BTC price will go up to the new heights. I can say it as a developer of the most effective automatic BTC trading bot.

Please repost this text and than people will now that a fake story about Bitcoin-XT is just a bullshit.

What you just explained here are common marketing rules anywhere, in any kind of free market.
Big players always manipulate the market and creates an artificial panic among small players.
Small investors then sell their shares in panic and big investors are buying them and later earning big profits.
I don't think that bitcoin market is unique and separate in this sense and don't think that we can do anything to change this situation.

9943  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS claims beheading of Croatian hostage Tomislav Salopek on: August 16, 2015, 10:55:29 AM
This is indeed news that shocked the whole of Croatia.
Many people these days prayed for him in all the churches, Croatian politicians was trying to help, but this sad tragedy could not be avoided.
Many Croats still working in Egypt and other Arab countries, and now they are all in fear for their safety and life.
These days it's really become unsafe and dangerous to travel anywhere.
This poor man just wanted to find a job and feed his family and ended so tragically.

9944  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump Wants Undocumented Immigrants Out, Says Even Families 'Have To Go' on: August 16, 2015, 10:47:27 AM
In my opinion, Trump is not serious politician but entertainer.
He is a businessman who wished excitement and new challenges and decided to try something different.
Politics is not so simple, black and white, but much more complex and demanding and always seeks consensus and compromise, what Trump does not understand.
In my opinion, Trump is actually a Trojan horse in the Republican ranks, and doing a great thing for his friend Hillary Clinton.
9945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you didn't get paid for your signature, would you still care about Bitcoin? on: August 16, 2015, 10:36:02 AM
How much is sig. space worth these days?...
The highrst rate i've seen was 0.00075BTC per post. I'm getting 0.00025 per post with my rank. There is an overview of the signature campaigns in this forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0

Of course, you have to understand that paid per post sig. campaign isn't for everyone.
If you don't have much time to write on this forum it is better to choose sig. campaign with fixed number of required posts per month.
In this way you don't need to spam others on this forum by posting as much as possible in order to earn more in your sig, campaign.
Choose other type of sig. campaign and relax, write when you can and receive payment for something you will do anyway, without pressure to write much Smiley
9946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - why do you think people are choosing to use cyptocurrencies? on: August 16, 2015, 09:34:38 AM
We are Bitcoin enthusiasts that are attempting to publish research that provides a better understanding of bitcoin adoption. As you may know there is not just not much good quality research out there. My colleagues and I are trying to improve this situation. So far we have had moderate responses from our local bitcoin community but are hoping this forum may help. The survey link is below, it's honestly only a couple of questions.

Thanks guys.

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1dwfpGxqv8JupXAAJ9icTdUFfbFktk8R2OB_4wguzVQU/viewform

I just completed your very interesting survey:
Bitcoin Adoption Study
Your response has been recorded. Thank you very much for your time.

I hope this will help you in your research about bitcoin.
It's above time that somebody start such important project for our community.
Thank you.
I hope to see results from this survey soon Smiley

9947  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS Enshrines a Theology of Rape on: August 15, 2015, 03:37:08 PM
ISIS is extremely inhumane and barbaric terrorist of organizations, and has nothing to do with any religion.
All their members are brainwashed to believe that their actions are justified but, of course, it's not true.
History has shown how easy it is to manipulate people in the name of religion or the state to make the horrendous crimes.
The Nazis in Germany 1941-45 appear to be the best comparison.
It's amazing how great may be human stupidity and hatred.
We must stop such evil, as soon as possible.

And who is "We"?

''We'' are normal, civilized people which understand what is evil and we oppose its expansion.
As individuals we can't do much but we can put pressure on our governments to be more actively involved in the fight against this barbarism and senseless violence.
When we create a critical mass of people who are looking for concrete action, things will begin to change for the better, no doubt about it Smiley

9949  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World war brews in space between China, US and Russia on: August 15, 2015, 10:35:53 AM
I think that we are in an undeclared, Cold War, for decades, namely from 1945.
Some call it undeclared third world war
There have been enough political wisdom to avoid open conflict between the major powers and all conflicts since 1945 were only local.
We can only pray it stays that way.
9950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Comedian Louis C.K Begins Accepting Bitcoin on: August 15, 2015, 10:29:27 AM
Bitcoin is the perfect solution for artists to sell their goods online and maintain full control. This is definitely the way forward.

I think that bitcoin is perfect solution for anyone who sells or offers something over the Internet Smiley
In the beginning is not easy to get popular and famous names on our side, but as bitcoin is growing in its popularity more and more users (famous and ordinary) will recognize the advantages of bitcoin and begin to actively use it.
Time works in our favor and I think that bitcoin is very near to become mainstream.
9951  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen if Bitcoin reach 1 USD exchange rate? on: August 15, 2015, 10:19:39 AM
I believe that most people here see bitcoin as investment and buying or earning BTC with hope to make some good profit later.
If Bitcoin reach 1 USD exchange rate I'm sure that 99% will give up bitcoin and start to search for the next ''great thing'' and forget about BTC.
Bitcoin is still not mainstream, we can buy some digital products or services with BTC but as currency, bitcoin is still not globally accepted.
So, it's obvious what will be the future of bitcoin if its value experienced a large drop.

9952  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The USA is now the world’s second largest Spanish-speaking country on: August 13, 2015, 05:51:34 PM
It seems that USA have similar problem with immigration like Europe.
In Europe, as in America, come poor and unskilled immigrants, families with many children, often illegally, and when they can not find work they seek help from the state.
Therefore, states no longer have enough money to help their own residents, they have to abolished some social rights, their people are frustrated and angry, right-wing parties have become increasingly popular etc.
I'm not sure what is the definitive solution for this difficult problem but politicians should take responsibility for this crisis finally.
9953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you didn't get paid for your signature, would you still care about Bitcoin? on: August 13, 2015, 05:42:42 PM
In the beginning this forum was great tool for me to learn more about bitcoin technology, history, services, everything.
As I become more experienced user and learn about different ways how to collect or earn bitcoin, I also become interested in signature campaigns.
I started to think, if I already regularly write on this forum and somebody is willing to pay me for it, why not?
Why not use a good opportunity for additional income, for something I do every day Smiley
So, I cared about bitcoin before signature campaigns, and I will care even after sig. campaigns, because of things I can learn or hear here.
9954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When is Second Life starting to use Bitcoin? on: August 13, 2015, 05:26:41 PM
second life has its own money, linden dollar, then I dont think it need to use bitcoin there. Bitcoin was used to change fiat as payment tool in our real life, not in virtual life imo. Anyway I never play second life, why we need to live in virtual world? Roll Eyes

You know, if you are using VirWox service, you can easily exchange your BTC funds through ''linden dollar'' to paypal and cash out.
Otherwise is not easy to transfer bitcoin funds to paypal, so I know that many bitcoin users like VirWox because of this possibility.
Of course, their exchange fees are very high but you can't have everything Smiley

9955  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Huge Explosion In Tianjin, China on: August 12, 2015, 07:24:08 PM
What happen?
I hope that this is not another terrorist attack.
Chinese authorities have large ethnic and security problems with Muslim rebels from minority people Uyghur.
I hope it will not be too much damage from this accident.
The media in my country speak about hundreds injured.
9956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin could bring about world peace? on: August 12, 2015, 07:19:49 PM
No bitcoin will not bring peace to the world. Money is one of the reason why many wars and battles start. Bitcoin is make to take place money. So it is like money.

but the difference is that bitcoin is a global currency so in theory it should unify the world and destroy the differences, also it can work as a good way for poor countries, if they adopt it as their main currency, because they can take advantage of its high price thanks to other country and be healthy again, i think it could bring a transitory peace if this happen
No one cant guarantee us if bitcoin change fiat, it can make this world be healthier. If bitcoin is adopted as main currency, the scamming, war, robbing, corruption, bribing, etc still happen, because bitcoin is a currency. People will do anything to get it, no matter what the effect he will give is for his surroundings.

Bitcoin can never replace fiat, as the government would not support bitcoins and they would really won't happen it possible that any crypto replaces their printed currency on which they have total control, and talking about the world peace, history says that where there is money involved in anything it has only entertained the fights, wars etc. so even bitcoins will do the same.

I partly agree with you but I think that virtual money will be our future soon, but this will be virtual money created or under strict control of some government agency.
Bitcoin will always be alternative currency but never fully accepted by the authorities.
Money itself is not good or bad, by people decides if they will use money for good or bad purpose.
So, only we, people, can create peace, no money, technology, bitcoin etc.

9957  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Farrakhan calls for 10,000 volunteers to kill whites on: August 09, 2015, 11:50:29 AM
I heard about Farrakhan long time ago.
He often gave such shocking talks but never anything spectacular happened afterwards.
I think that he wants to mobilize his church only and not to embark on concrete action against others.
What he asks from the government is monetary compensation for all the black people for crimes of whites during slavery and independent black state in USA.
It is clear that both requests are unrealistic and will never be realized but well serve the purpose of mobilization of his own members.

9958  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is crashing. Why? :( on: August 09, 2015, 11:38:55 AM
It seems that the Bitcoin users behave similarly as real brokers on the stock exchange.
When the value of the shares starts to fall this creates a panic mood and everybody sales, which further affects the decline in value of shares.
Smart investors know that it is the best time to buy stocks and earn good profit later, when value of the shares increase again.
It's the same with BTC.
So, don't worry much about value of bitcoin but buy now (when its value is lower) and earn later Smiley
9959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin compared with traditional banking and payment methods on: August 09, 2015, 11:29:29 AM
if WU and PayPal was smart, they would capitalize on bitcoin and offer BTC insured transfer services. They could charge half their normal rate and still make a tremendous profit.

Good suggestion but this will not happen in the near future.
Bitcoin is still not mainstream, its value is not stable yet (and WU and paypal surely don't like it), sometimes it takes a lot more time to wait for confirmation of the transaction (in one case I had to wait 4-5 hours) etc.
Until we resolve this issues I don't think Paypal or WU will consider to offer BTC as part of their service.

9960  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Jews are the master race on: August 08, 2015, 04:05:41 PM
So, if you add Jesus Christ, Karl Marx and Spinoza on your list, you can really say that Jews are miracle race.
I think it has less to do with race or nation but rather with the material position and education of those people.
You can be very intelligent but without proper education and financial support, you'll never get a real chance to show your knowledge and receive international recognition.
Knowledge is not and has never depended on race and ethnicity.
