ETC is not using ethash anymore, while they are still somewhat similar, there are some notable changes, so you will need to work on it to fix the stale shares and lower hashrate, my recommendation is to get back to default speed and then work you way from there. I myself have a rx 470 and changing it from eth to etc had no changes in hashrate or stale shares but my card has minimal overclock.
Well there it is. Something stupid I overlooked. I'll start there and dig in. I use ethermine (or whatever it's called now) for my pool and it was detected just giving all bad shares. I run bios modded and overclocked (fairly aggressively though as I pay a flat fee for power) on mostly rx570s with a few stock bios rx-580s and one rx-480. Thanks Metroid I will dig in more.

I'm having a little trouble with getting ETC mining to work on Team Red miner. I've been mining ETH for a bit on it and after switching i'm getting a crazy amount of bad shares and much lower hash rate. The config is virtually the same so I'm not sure what I could be doing wrong. I wouldn't think it's my OC as they have worked fine with everything else I have mined. XMR, RVN, ZEC etc...
I'm hoping i'm being an air head and just missing something....? I'm preparing for ETH DAG EPOC #384

Thanks jakebot, I just sent you 10KMD for testing. I can see your shares coming in fine and the website is working as expected. If anyone else is will to test I will also give a 10KMD reward, I am trying to do some testing on the efficiency of the pool with asics and any help would be really awesome. Well you likely just donated that 10KMD to yourself as I was mining using your pools donation wallet address. I will get at you another time when I have a KMD wallet setup. Oh and change your setting so us newbs can send you a message

I might be not looking right at Flypool help files but what is exactly their setup for ZEC, please? I mean, is it just:
Server asia1-zcash.flypool.org eu1-zcash.flypool.org us1-zcash.flypool.org Stratum Port 3333 Alt. Stratum Port 13333 Encrypted Stratum Portt 3443 (Encrypted stratum is currently only supported by the Claymore and Optiminer miner) Username Your Zcash Address e.g.: t1YZMnyXStuGKykkFxM6Lh8DTVJdTMx6R51 Password Leave empty or enter your custom share difficulty (default difficulty is 2000)
or more elaborate
They did not respond to my question, yet. Thank you.
stratum+tcp://us1-zcash.flypool.org:3333 walletaddress.workername blank Hmmm doesn't work for me... flypool only shows 320 h/s after 10min... 12 shares edit: the eu version seems to work better... maybe I'm just to impatient. I'll give it an hour. Be patient, give it time.

Just curious what temperatures would be considered "safe". I received my Z9 mini yesterday, and I bumped it up to 750MHz almost right away. It mines at Flypool at an average of 16.4kSol/s (measured poolside). Rejected shares at appr. 0.4% and stale shares at 0.2% according to the miner interface. Now, this time of year it gets pretty hot outside, and I have the asic in my garage, which is even hotter. Chip temps are 74, 76 and 78 degrees (midday) while PCB-temp is 59, 62 and 63 degrees. Last evening/night the chip-temps were below 70 degrees. No registered HW errors.
Back down on the overclock or continue to let it rip?
From what I have read and even from my experience with GPUs sub 80 is your best bet. The higher it goes the more likely there will be errors and you will shorten the life span. Personally, I try and keep them at the mid to low 70s because I don't want to be unlucky and have to crap out in 8 months or something. I am also going to buy a second Delta fan to augment it. These temps are very good considering there is only the one fan! I don't have a komodo wallet yet but I will point it there if you give me a wallet address

I'm wanting to try SMOS, but I don't want to flash the latest bios on my mobo. If my bios aren't compatible will SMOS even fire up or will it simply crash later on?
It's mostly a suggestion. I have had SMOS running on 10 year old hardware with no issues.

I've been into mining for a little over a year now and I purchased this equiasic as my first. I hope they don't fork.

It's happening, the idea of decentralization are gone
Let's make Bitmain more powerful than ever, let's forget about tech and such ideas
The real purpose is money, money, money, let's squeeze everything until ends very soon
Gpu don't gurantee decentralisation and in real world less then .1% miner actually cares about tech. It was always about money. This is how you survive and thrive in a capitalist/realist world. Yes, GPU guarantee decentralization, it worked and it's working Cryptos are supposed to fight against monetary system, banks etc, not being equal to We can all buy these units= decentralized. Bitmain should always keep it to 1 unit per customer, unless they want another fork situation to happen. I think they have learned from their mistake. ^yup.^

Anyone run with tb250-btc pro with 12 amd cards. Or can i run same 12 x rx 580 cards with simplemining os? I'cant find any info about this.
Yes you can. SMOS supports 12 cards so if you change your bios settings and update the latest bios for mobo you can smoothly run 12 rx580 cards on biostar tb250 btc pro. There is nothing smooth about those Biostar TB250 boards. They are more difficult than they need to be. Their previous TB85 boards were much easier to get up and running. Be careful about updating to the latest BIOS version. I had difficulties with the TB250-BTC and BTC+ boards until I rolled back the bios to a much earlier 330 version. I too am having issues with this board. I have another one but it's too far away to get to to check all my bios setting with my new one. When Windows started to boot it was hanging. I deduced that it is not a GPU or RAM issue. I overlooked the BIOS (but I did update it) so that could definitely be the issue. What were you experiencing?

I would like to see it stay where it's again until the team can get everything working properly and THEN I want to see celeb endorsements while seeing it added to better exchanges like bittrex which i'm sure will pick it up eventually. THEN BOOM MOON.

BIOS update did it. I feel like a fool for not thinking of it. Thanks!!!

I did not. I will try that.
I do not expect it to help unless this is a known issue however.
Any other ideas? Anybody out there have experience with this board?

I'm unable to get more than 2 GPU's to be detected in SMOS with this motherboard. I have the molex for the motherboard plugged in.
Any ideas? TIA

Hello! I have the problem that Mother does not want to boot with 4 gpus. I activated the 4g, and updated the bios. But nothing, if I connect 3 they work, I tried them all separately and they work as well.
My specifications; H270 Plus G4560 4GB Ram DDR4 Psu evga Supernova 1000w 4x rx 570
I saw 2 topics on reddit but I tried everything they said . Im using smos, the rig dont have hdd or sdd with Windows, may that be? Thanks for the help and sorry my english!!
My experience is from an MSI z170a Gaming M5 but this may help.... 1. Update BIOS to the newest 2. Enable 4G encoding 3. Set PCI to AUTO 4. Disable integrated graphics 5. Make sure you plug your monitor into your integrated graphics if you're viewing the console that way.
