3  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: March 26, 2014, 02:08:07 AM
I setup a new antminer today, but am having trouble getting it to connect to my pool. I am trying to connect to my BTCGuild pool, but no mater how I configure the setting, it is showing as dead. If I leave the pools from the default settings, the first one can connect, and the other 2 show dead.

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a better pool that is easier to point these to?

use this Pool: Stratum.btcguild.com:3333
and I know eleuthria was having some issue's but I think they are fixed.
It sometimes takes a min to connect

4  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER ASIC miner monitoring RPC linux/win/osx/mips/arm/r-pi 4.2.0 on: March 22, 2014, 12:08:50 PM
Well ... that was unexpected.

Here's another new AntS1 binary.

The comment I made about the last version having Temperature Management in it was wrong.
Oops.

I did enable the flag in the code (which doesn't work in Bitmain's version) but I didn't realise there was no code using the flag until someone pointed it out to me later.
In fact 7 of the 8 options passed to the Bitmain code are ignored:
bitmain_temp, bitmain_overheat, bitmain_fan_min, bitmain_fan_max, bitmain_freq_min, bitmain_freq_max and bitmain_auto

Anyway, this new binary DOES have Temperature Management code in it that I've written and tested for 24 hours now on all 3 of my ants.
It takes notice of bitmain_temp and bitmain_overheat

It uses the same patch as before for the luci display.
My source for this version is here:
https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer/tree/ants1-4.2.0-c85d846a

The binary and README are in my cgminer-binaries git here:
https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer-binaries/tree/master/AntS1  <-- Follow this link to get the new binary

Read the README on the screen there for how to replace the /usr/bin/cgminer binary in your AntS1 with the new one.

This binary includes all cgminer changes up to 4.2.0 and forward after that up to:
https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer/commit/4e05c30bfa12d658253ea670995156e069fdb5f0

The specific AntS1 changes this time really does include:
Perform temperature management (it doesn't work in the Bitmain code)

I have had one person report that they cannot run the binary.
I've no idea why - since others have had no trouble running yesterdays binary.
If you cannot run this binary please let me know.
I'm chasing up someone with literally hundreds of ants and hoping they'll use it and get expected results.

Nice work, I noticed when I updated my some of my Antminer S1 that a soft reset was needed.
I saw improvements on loading and response time in the web interface.
I also now noticed there is a bug in LSTime that was mentioned earlier, the time isn't displayed properly.

Thanks for the update Smiley
5  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.988 BTC for 180GH/s on: March 22, 2014, 11:45:54 AM
I ordered three days ago.
Still "Paid Unshipped Valid"

I emailed Bitmain yesterday but no reply.
Is it likely that he has shipped it but not yet updated the status?
Or what is happening?

It could have shipped already. I usually don't get my tracking til 1 day before it delivered. Last order I don't think I got any tracking. If it shipped UPS, you can sign up and login to MYUPS and it will show if a package is scheduled for delivery to your home. I have a current order with bitmain from tuesday that originally said unpaid and expired. It was corrected the next day, and when I check MYUPS, I can see it's already on it's way to me for monday delivery. On bitmain website it still shows "paid unshipped valid". And I haven't emailed or bothered them even once.

MyUPS is not offered in most countries, I think it's only a US thing.
6  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Problem regarding payment to Bitmain on: March 19, 2014, 04:40:09 PM
Hello all,

I was wondering if any of you is having (or had) the following problem:

I ordered through the website of Bitmain and as stated on the website, the payment has to be done within 1 hour. I paid straight after I received the payment adress, but the payment itself did not reached enough confirmations (or whatever happened) to appear as 'paid' on the Bitmain-website.

So in short, my payment was not processed within the 1 hour after ordering. Now the order says 'expired' but I did pay.
I already emailed Bitmain regarding this issue but I was wondering if any of you guys had this before aswell?

Thanks in advance.

Bitmain posted here about this, i'd still keep an eye on it

Since the beginning of January, the 12V rail puts out 62A which seems like it is enough.

The CX750 will run 2 antminer S1 OC to 393MHz and will get you ~200GH/s each

10  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.998 BTC for 180GH/s on: March 13, 2014, 05:05:11 AM
Bitmain has been great, I did have an order that hadn't shipped in 5 days. I sent Bitmain a PM with the transaction ID and he sent it out the same day. They even gave some credit Smiley

Nothin but top notch customer service

I would suggest if you ordered from Bitmain to PM on the form with your transaction ID and order info
11  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: March 08, 2014, 02:08:41 AM
If you did in deed upgrade ok and verified the md5 checksum's, the next issue would be your network settings.
What are your router settings and range if using dhcp and what is your antminer set up to use

STEP 2: Disable NTPD client for linux

STEP 3: Re-power antminer

Please explain me step by step.

thankyou so much.

if you ssh into your antminer s1, do cat /etc/init.d/cgminer
does it match what you provided?
An easier way to fix your problem might be just to upgrade the firmware. What version are you running ?
14  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 1.11 BTC for 180GH/s on: March 07, 2014, 11:09:15 PM
Ordered another one and paid on Monday, but still says 'paid, valid, unshipped'. That's really unusual for Bitmain, 5 days now ... most of the others I have shipped in 2 days.

Anybody else experiencing slight delays?

I ordered on Monday.
Shipped on Friday.

I ordered 2 on Monday show paid, unshipped, valid
I'm not sure what's going on this is the first time this has happened, I contacted Bitmain via email yesterday but no response yet.
If it's not here withing the next hour it looks like Monday for me I hope. I have always received my tracking before receiving my order. This is a little odd.
15  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 1.135 BTC for 180GH/s on: March 06, 2014, 11:45:28 PM
I just got my first Antminer S1 yesterday. I went to set it up and it won't stay on more then a few sec. I'll turn on the power and It will flash a few green light on the side. The ethernet ports will light up and then when i go to log in about 15 sec after it Flashes crazy fast green lights on the side and dies. WTF?

What size power supply are you using ? If your supply is under powered it will shut off after a few min

I hope you all get it sorted out, but mine did go through ok.
Also to note about the coupons I received one for my order on the 21 but not for the one on the 16 and one arrived a day before the other. still happy for the coupon Smiley

Hi Zoomhash, I see on your 10 pack you show
10 piece barrel connectors so that you can use your own computer PSU
is this something that plugs into a standard computer PSU or do we need to wire it up. Pictures would be nice

Thanks,

I'd agree DHL is no good in Canada at lest in Winnipeg, they are slow compared to UPS and cost more for brokerage and duties (in my experience)
