I always had no problem getting node running on my linux vps. but with this version it does not work even after adding the lib folder with clientConfig.js... I start it with forever start index.js - no error.. but also no process. forever stop index.js gives an error "Forever cannot find process with id: index.js".
Did I miss something?
My nodejs version is 10.36
Same issue I had at first. Do this again: 9) npm -g install forever sadly this did not work. Same problem as before. No logs or additional errors. I needed to do 'SUDO npm -g install forever' maybe that is your problem? no I'm running it as root. what I did until now: installing nodejs 10.36, npm downloading and extracting latest client,adding lib folder and clientConfig.js (as mentioned in the last posts) npm -g install npm -g install forever forever start index.js --> shortly starts a nodejs process forever stop index.js --> error: no process with id: index.js You are giving these commands in the root folder where the node is extracted, where is index.js file? To see the processes running under the "forever": forever list  (The print is the windows, but the command is the same on Linux. Too lazy to enter the server now) with that command I now found a log. and I was executing the commands in the same folder as index.js. It even starts shortly.

The lib folder contains one file clientConfig.js with the following content: var ClientConfig = (function() { return { accName: 'YourPasswordGoesHere' }; })(); module.exports = ClientConfig; The new client doesn't include it. You have to manually log into your client from the main screen. But before you do that, make sure you set up a secure SSL port for extra security. In my experience running linux host if you have the file - you do not need to log in. I tried it last week: restarted my service and did not log in - and my node was shown with correct account as a peer. |

So much fail in one statement. First, you'll discover that there are quite a lot of people here interested in a multi-polar view on events. Second, you are obviously NOT watching Russian TV. If you did, you'd know that USA gets a rather small share of air time, on par with Finland or Italy.
I watch Russian TV ( 1Channel, not RussianTV on USA network) and you are lying. USA is constantly in the news and is shown as aggressor and the cause of everything that is wrong in the world and Russia. And it's not just TV, visit any Russian new site and see for yourself. Here is current http://www.gazeta.ru/ 10 "news of the day": ... 3 oil related, 2 Ukraine related, one Denmark, one Russia and THREE that has to do with USA, out of which TWO has nothing to do with internal affairs ( a school/weapon and train crush in California)... Actually, you are supporting my claim.  Two of those article about USA is just normal reporting. ... That kind of news would be retorted the same way if the shooting happened in Finland or the train crash happened in India. Your claim was that Finland or Italy gets as much reporting as USA, and that is just 100% lie easily disprovable by visiting any Russian new site. That's not normal reporting, There were 10 times more people who died in the avalanche in Afghanistan that happened the same day, and it got almost no coverage from any of those news sites you quoted comparing to train crush in USA. Other sources which I prefer: ... ria.ru are more balanced

Just for fun: of the first 100 news 16 have ONLY to do with USA ( so not USA and some other country...) while all other countries even MENTIONED in the article i.e. "Spain in Ukraine" or Turkey signs gas agreement total to 12. They all must've had the slow news day I guess... only it was not as evidenced by going to bbc or AP or AlJazera. This is the one bug that I mentioned earlier with error generation block in the POA . in the test version we've already fixed, will release the real version of the client
Thanks, do you have an ETA on the release? Also if the node is restarted - does it reset the bonus timer? For some reason my node restarted twice today error code 244. |

I can see it in the list of peers in many other active nodes, but I wonder if it's hooked up to correct account in the background.

Curiously getAccountById includes transactions where account in question received forging fee, but only last 10.
However getMyTransactions does not.

Newbie question: if my node is listed as generatorid in the block - does that mean I am getting fee ?
Is there a way to see how many coins were forged by my node other then going through every block ?
I tried block explorer, but it only finds my node if it was the target or receiver of a transaction.

Stuck on block 8002 and my transaction went from 28 confirmed to 11 confirmed and not reflected in the balance.

So just to confirm in case you don't want to download/run binaries the following works great: - Install node and npm on your windows box
- Download and extract linux version into a folder
- From command line CD into the folder and execute "npm install" command
- In LIB folder copy clientConfig.example.js into clientConfig.js and add your passphrase to accName
- Run index.js, I suggest running it as "node index.js" at first to make sure everything is working correctly
- In your browser go to http://localhose:19775 you will see loading status and eventually your wallet

I have Glass and I was looking into developing something like that, but there is currently a problem of trust:
There are two kinds of applications for the Glass
- Server-driven applications: that means your wallet is located "in the cloud" and you'd have to trust the cloud server with your wallet
- Client-side applications using SDK: the only way to install them is at the moment sideload the APK, there is no store.
So the question is: would you trust APK developed by someone else ? Would you trust the cloud ?
