when i run the new wallet it says : "error deserializing config" <<< how to fix this? thanks
Hey guys I have this too when I installed the new version now. Is there something wrong? All I HAVE RIGHT NOW IS MY PRIVATE KEY ONLY FROM THE OLD MRAI. PLEASE HELP ME RECOVER THOSE MRAI. EVEN IF ITS UNCONFIRMED I want to know whether I will be able to recover the OLD MRAI or NOT. Thanks please asking for assistance. Close your wallet and rename config.json in %LOCALAPPDATA%\RaiBlocks to config_old.json and then try to open your wallet again. %LOCALAPPDATA% is probably something like: C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Local depening on your OS.

Pretty interested in this (hopefully) soon to be coin. I am tempted to do a donation. But still the red flags are not gone, the last reply by felix is pushing for more donations, something he didn't do before.. Will wait for something to be put on git

At the moment I lost interest in following RaiBlocks. I therefore decided to suspend raishaker.net service. For now I'm out of it. Good luck to everyone.

Too bad, sad to see you leave. Are there other projects that got your interest now? Special thanks for keeping the faucet up when it was still running, you did a good job there.

Thanks for your time sharing your trades and insights over the past time in this thread, was a good read and a good learn. Hope you picked the coins that will be with the 5 survivers

I have solved a lot of captches in the last three days, but my wallet is still empty. What am I doing wrong?
Because you need to hit the threshold first, its increasing slowly again. Unfortunately with the claim list locked you can't see your current amount of claims. Is your wallet up to date with syncing?

well how about faucetcollector bot that killing the ecosystem . . . faucetcollector isn't a pool and isn't generating loads of traffic. its just like a solo claimer.

For everyone that want an easy way to claim on raiblocks (and other faucets) take a look at the site from my signature

Can't imagine the threshold goes from 5000 to 9000 in a day or two. We are so popular now

I think that instead of giving coins to an army of beggars, devs should do an ico or at least allow coins to be pow/pos mined. Would help the project a lot.
I think no one is giving coin to beggars. Those who are collected XRB , are doing it in a hard way by claiming through the faucet and i tell you it is not an easy work to claim the coin through faucets. This is a unique feature of this great coin. +1 on that!

Week 5 Portfolio Updatehttps://i.imgur.com/euYYhoZ.jpgWas a little more active than I thought I would be. I didn't anticipate so much churning. Anyway, from a trading and rebalancing standpoint, this week was much better than the last. Could have been even better, but I'm not going to complain. Current portfolio holdings percentage distribution:LTC 51.7% GRS 8% NLG 7.7% SYS 6.4% STEEM 5.9% BTS 5.4% NXT 3.8% BTC 3.8% PIVX 3% MYR 2.5% XEM 1.8% Today's purchase of MCO is not reflected in those weekly figures, but will be next week. It was basically the total of the available BTC so you can get a rough idea - around 0.54414431 BTC. Nice job! Question: How do you keep track of all your positions? You keep track in a excel file or online tool?

Have a look at the first page... No fees: The RaiBlocks network has no notion of fees. Low latency: Transactions are natively processed instantly giving a responsive experience. Scalability: Micropayments require a system capable of significant scalability Here is a comparison between RaiBlocks, Bitcoin and Ripple https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1381323.msg19698220#msg19698220I am also reading up on IOTA, to be able to make a comparison between RaiBlocks and IOTA, who are both targetting micro transactions. Here is a small teaser of what i have gathered so far... | IOTA | RaiBlocks | Bitcoin | | asynchronous | >asynchronous | >synchronous | Max. tx/s | >no fix limit (?) | >no fix limit (~700) | >~7tx/s (1MB block size limit) | Confirmation Mechanism | >Proof of Work | >Proof of Stake | >Proof of Work | Anti spam mechanism | >Proof of Work | >Proof of Work | >Tx Fees | Ledger Type | >DAG (directed acyclic graph) | >Block-Lattice (multiple blockchains) | >single (shared) Blockchain | Confirmation time (1st confirmation) | >depends on transactions by other users | >1 network echo period (<5s) | >10 minutes | time till irreversible tx | >unknown (depending on weight & PoW) | >15s - max 1minute | >~60 minutes |
Imho, Copared to IOTA, RaiBlocks has a better design in regards of fork resultion and attack prevention. Both seem to be equally scalable, while RaiuBlocks pays close attention to transaction size (1 tx fits in 1 UDP package) Compared to IOTA, Raiblocks lacks of third party development. It is less known, and the community is smaller. Just to put the tx/seconds into context. Today, the VISA Networks treats 2000tx/s on average with a daily peak of around 4000tx/s. Raiblocks for the win Community is growing slowly I think

Try to solved the captcha and get same notification like you, so I think this is happen to everyone who want to solved the captcha, just wait maybe they make an update on the faucet. In an attempt to lower the threshold to get in the top 150 they paused the faucet for an hour. Will happend again probably.

If your node is fully synced with the network (and the other node which sent the tx) it should be instant. You should contact the exchange and give them your txid and the date you sent it, so they can look into it and help you
I've done this already, they told me that this is a "rai_node bug" and that they'll contact the devs. Five days later I'm still waiting for an update, but I guess issues like these are to be expected from a smaller coin, hopefully the devs will be able to resolve the problem.
Yup, they (exchange) can't do anything about it. The dev is woking hard on it. I had this issue on a whitdrawl also, over two weeks ago. Everything will be fine eventually..

What's up with the "invalid block" error? I've made a test withdrawal from BitGrail to my wallet but it doesn't show in my balance, and when I try to check the hash it says invalid block. My wallet is unlocked and synced.
I had the same. The dev confirmed he is trying to fix this error and everything will sync up eventually. No ETA tho.
