Good update, however waaaay to late but hey, better late than never.
My advice is that you should listen to your users a little bit more closely.
All communication channels with you guys are cluttered with nonsense and spam.
Little few is there to actually help or provide information. Byte16 here and one more person at slack, don't even mention telegram. So, taking this update as a rule of thumb, alternative to googles recaptcha available in 6 months? Hope not. There was a time when solvemedia was a thing, why not both? I would prefer text based captcha.

I don't think it will lower the threshold by very much but the main point is: why should we worry about the threshold limit?
It should be considered as mining "difficulty" and we need to keep in mind that it sets itself in a equilibrium. E.g. i did some claims in the past but i'm not going to now, some people are still willing to claim, the threshold is set high by the people that are willing to claim and accept current rewards \ threshold levels.
I'd like to mine BTC with my PC too but i can't, since many many other machines are doing it atm. It's the same for XRB.

The RaiBlocks market will continue being a dumpfest unless they become harder to get.  Increased difficulty and increased price go hand in hand.

What will you do if RaiBlocks gets pumped to 10x it's current price and a flood of new claimers comes in?  Take steps to reduce the threshold again?

I have the exactly same problem, it went smooth trough 50000, then it took 8 hours to get to 680000,  is there any solution for this?

tried this wallet on 3 windows machines and 2 macbook airs = all running smooth
