The striking department looks to be the most lacking among teams in the prem. Off the top of my head I can only think of 3-4 top teams with a solid, dependent striker, for the level of the club. We used to have a lot of those back in the day.

This is not FPL or even UCL, ls hort tournament and that is much less time for strategies, planning and stuff like that to work.

This is much more about just picking players you like and hoping for the best. I would say luck will have much bigger impact here than in FPL. There is no time and games for luck to even out and return to the mean.

Congratulations to Portugal this victory, it wasn't expected for me since I supported Spain before the game then when they got the lead twice but penalties are penalties, pure randomness and if it shows something lacking in Spain, a weakness if we could say, then the coach has to work to improve it before FIFA World Cup next year.
