Ah, yes. I forgot that Argentina and Colombia were scheduled to play last night. Yeah, I would have never go with Colombia not to lose after how Argentina played their last few games. I see that Colombia was leading and Argentina managed to equalize the game with 10 players after Fernandez got the second yellow card. Oh well... At least both me and my opponent had the same (wrong) answers for those questions.

I think Poland was just unlucky in their away match against Finland, if we look at the statistics it's clear that Poland should have gotten 3 points. But the process on the field shows the final result. Well, Finland still relies on their heroes, Pohjanpalo & Hradecky as usual.

On the other hand - Argentina didn't need the points and Colombia did - so it was a foolish choice to go with Argentina. Still, they are great at home and rarely concede.

Argentina are already in a safe place, win or draw at home has no bearing on them going to the world cup. Everyone is favoring them because it's their home match, many think at least they will not disappoint their fans/supporters, but the result isn't in line with expectations .

Stats can be misleading, and in this game they were. All of Finland's shots on target were basically clear chances, whereas Poland shot from everywhere without actually threatening Hradecky.
I didn't watch the full game but I checked the highlights, based on that I feel it was a deserved win for Finland.

Hradecky was really good, agreed, but he is a great keeper for this level so that was expected in a way.

Cool read. vd309 continues his good run with 2/2 this round. What a bastard.

My only consolation is we were both equally off the mark with the first two games. Just had a look at our remaining questions and we're only different on 6,7, 8. So yeah, even if one of us wins the match-up, it's not likely we get LMS points, could both be out.

Let's see if my "all YES" and "all No" strategy works out.

I know Poland is a shit team considering the great names they have, i dont know why they play this bad, its not from now this happens for several years, but Finland is also a weak team.

About Argentina i said it in other thread, Argentina plays for nothing so they are gonna be super relaxed.

I went with Finland not to lose on this and I was surprised because I thought a lot of BSFL players would go with that option. I didn't expect Finland to win, but a draw was absolutely possible.

Colombia taking the lead against Argentina was a shocker to me. I saw how their trend was in the last few games, full of losses, draws and few goals. Then they play away from home and almost beat Argentina. Maybe it was because Argentina is already qualified, but still that is quite the stretch. Finland did at least play at home.

@Koal-84 definitely wish you good luck for the next rounds. You need to change the trajectory quickly!

Spain U21 just blew a 2 goal lead, after going 2-0 up in the first 2o minutes, I pretty much though that was a wrap, but Slovakia equalize and Spain have just taken the lead back in the 90th minute, I doubt there will be enough time for one more goal from Spain, as I wouldn't mind any slight edge I can have for this round before kick in fully.

Poland is still a favourites though even without Lewandowski while Finland on another hand, has never qualified for World Cup so its kinda hard to actually pick Finland not to lose. Aside from that, h2h record and their recent performance against another team show that Poland is just slightly better so yeah technically Poland was better but it didnt go through as expectation

He doesn't really fit anywhere. He is a decent player for sure, but we looked better with Gakpo on the left. If Wirtz is coming, Diaz would probably play as a striker.
He was good there last season too, but if you ask me - for 80 mil you can find a striker that will fit your team better.

I knew that Argentina didn't need points, but I expected them to win the game. On the other hand, I had no idea that Poland is in a such bad situation with such a lousy team morale. If I knew that, I would have surely go with "not to lose" option. I oreder that option because it gives better percentage to win.

I had to go check their squad for the tournament and I hardly recognized any names even though I know a good number of their under 21 players. I still expected them to win however against Slovakia, luckily for me, so did my opponent.

Anything below prime KDB and Mousa Dembele performance from Wirtz next season won't be accepted. He would need to give us Juan Mata and Eden Hazard first game performance for Liverpool for that price.

I think Manchester City assembled a good squad players ( Rayan Cherki, Rayan Aït-Nouri and Tijjani Reijnders) for less than what Wirtz cost. A good deal, I'm jealous.

The striking department looks to be the most lacking among teams in the prem. Off the top of my head I can only think of 3-4 top teams with a solid, dependent striker, for the level of the club. We used to have a lot of those back in the day.

Said the same thing 2 seasons ago- I can easily name more than 20 good midfielders and wingers on the market but can't do the same for strikers- what we have now are wingers pretending to be strikers with low shot power ( Jackson)

I thought that I was finished after losing first two questions in this round, but today draw between France and Portugal saved my ass.

I had France to win, and they were the better team in the 2nd half as per the stats, but couldn't find a goal... So, It's another 0/3 start for me in this round, just like it was in the last round. I guess not rebuying in the LMS is smart idea after all, because there is probably no way I won't be losers list again for this round, if I can't manage to get something off the H2H questions. For my league duel, there is nothing concrete yet, my opponent is just almost as terrible as myself except for the Slovakia vs Spain question which he went with a "No".
