1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is technical analysis useful? on: July 11, 2018, 09:15:32 PM
Technical analysis very very important but good technical analysis hard to come by.

Really you need tools to make it useful and you need to not have so little information that you cannot extract good info.

RoninAi something I'm keeping eyes on for this month. They're development update shows good signs of complex technical analysis and Ai training.

A lot of people misunderstand the meaning of decentralization, especially in regards to blockchain.

This is a great resource that fully explains which parts of blockchain are centralized, decentralized, and in what way.

From what I understand this isn't a total ban. They've deemed ICO's illegal but haven't enacted any new laws, simply reinterpreted current ones. As long as an ICO can prove its legitimacy plus practices KYC protocols and screens for accredited investors, people in China can still invest.

Looking forward to AMA.
Just saw this article that mentions AxionV in regards to the recent regulations in China. Interesting read on how this ICO will still be able to take Chinese investors. Piqued my interest.

I agree. It's about time ICOs were regulated. Maybe now more will follow know your customer protocols and screen for accredited investors.

That sounds about right. There's a giant list of ICOs launching this month, though I wonder how this China ban will affect that. My hopes is that the legitimate ICOs will become easier to spot. Personally I know Ether and Bitcoin are here to stay, inevitably they'll have drops, but they'll ultimately continue to increase in value. The same isn't true of all the other altcoins though.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good ICO's since China's ban on: September 06, 2017, 08:41:43 PM
I've always been skeptical of these ICO's and do extensive research before investing. Personally I'm glad there's finally some regulation as there's just so many ICOs. Maybe this will be incentive for them to follow know your customer protocols and start scanning for accredited investors. Any legitimate ICO wouldn't be scared by the China ban.

It looks like China already believes there needs to be regulation. Ultimately I think this is a good thing for blockchain startups and ICOs. Investors like myself are always wary of all the hyped up ICOs, and many claim to follow protocols for accrediting investors but don't.

There are already systems in place, the smartest regulations will be geared towards validating ICOs that actually use these systems and protocols. Now that regulation has begun, I think that this will start being the trend.
