1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: nxt on: December 03, 2017, 01:35:30 PM
Hey guys, is anybody into nxt?

Yep. Sitting happy from 800sats. Long way to go IMO, but expect corrections along the way. Might be best if you wait for a pullback. The news (Airdrop) doesn't happen for another 3-4 weeks.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NXT pump - NXT get IGNIS ? on: November 27, 2017, 06:24:50 PM
In at 800sats and wont sell until we either airdrop or blast past 8000sats. Which ever comes first. This is guna be good.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt (NXT) Upcoming airdrop - Price speculation on: November 26, 2017, 06:27:34 PM
I’m keeping my nxt until I get an airdrop then I’m dumping. I think in the short run price of nxt will rise because people want free ignis but after the airdrop every one will dump nxt. I do believe in the long term ardor ignis project but not nxt

Don't be so sure Nxt will dump. Next will be the ICO incubator for the Ardor platform. If everybody is saying the same thing (which they are) it'll normally do the opposite and not dump.

I'm personally in at 800Sats and riding it until the snap on or about Christmas Day. However, if things get a little crazy before like we see EMC2 today, I'll be forced to cash in. That level will be 6-9000Sats. I'm hoping I can get to the snap for free Ignis though, to compliment my Ardor position.

Load up, this will be good.

Not Ardor specific but good news for Ardors first child chain with their ICO being a success. Bullish.

'The IGNIS Token Sale is now over! We collected over $15 M, thank you all for your contribution! The remaining 500 M IGNIS will be given away as a free airdrop to all NXT owners on Dec 25th - holding NXT is your last chance to get IGNIS before the launch!'

Looking forward to ardor launch, will this be in Janurary?

December 25th is the snapshot for every 1 Nxt you hold you will receive 0.5 Ignis.

January 1st is the official launch of Ardor.

Hi all.

I believe i may have just made my first big mistake. I sent some Ardor from my Nxt wallet to Bittrex and realized after some time that the transfer would not work. I then saw that i had missed the message part off the transaction. Bittrex notes say it would not credit if i was to leave off the message. Can somebody tell me if I can solve this and get my ardor tokens back?

Blah Blah.....Blah blah. Boys and their big egos.

Would be wise for any crypto investor to have part of their wealth in gold and silver.

80% metals and 20% cryptos for me........but dyor.

THIS!!!  I started with silver several years ago...actually wish now that I did crypto first Cheesy But yeah, have tangible (not certificate) precious metal as well.

I think my current ratio is around 35% precious metal (bullion only-excluding jewelries) and 65% crypto--with crypto % rising.

Whatever you do, don't sell that silver for Crypto! Could be the worst thing you do IMO.

There has been little love and no attention on the metals for quite some time. This will change.

Just added more Ardor to bags in 3900 area. Laying on nice support here.

Stop spreading disinformation guys. Next isnt going anywhere. They have a few nice things in the pipeline. One being that they plan to use Next as the ICO launchpad for new projects coming to Ardor.  Another being the public licence where Nxt holders will receive 10% airdrops whenever a new project copy's. Google for more info.

I notice many investors out there saying Next will dump. When have you ever seen what the majority say actually happen? Very rarely. I only expect 10% of you to understand this. The herd is always wrong.

If you do a little analysis on the last two bull runs in Next, you'll notice how its setting up the same right now. A good steady downtrend with a bull trap (Just had it recently). If history repeats I expect next to start surging 3-4 weeks from now. Personally I'm already in, but looking to add in the coming altcoin weakness that i hope will come with the Bitcoin fork hype. Next will be very a very lucrative hodl from about now to Xmas day when the snapshot takes place. I'm saying 3x could be achievable in 2 months in the very least.

LOL i wish i had known what was pumping Syscoin...I would have cashed in a little. The debit card news is just hype. They have 89 other cryptos on the list!! Syscoin was just there to pump the news as they released it on twitter. Normal pricing will resume soon.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Florincoin. The monster you haven't heard of. Time to buy. on: October 16, 2017, 09:43:48 AM
I saw some threads talking about people trading their altcoin to bitcoin, in order to have their bitcoin gold on October 25th.
After this date, people who don't believe in the bitcoin gold, will sell it fast to go back on altcoin trading ...
So it might be a good opportunity to buy some altcoin now because of low price.. and to see the price growth after this date.

So for me, it will be patience. I'll watch what my FLO will become in November ...

I think you are right. I know many people who hold bitcoin to get bitcoin gold not because they believe bitcoin gold is a good coin but because they see this fork as an easy money opportunity. They remember bitcoin cash and they hope for the same. Later they plan to come back to altcoins.

FLO @ 1300 looks good weak hands out ===> spaceshuttlezzz Cool weeee

Hey man the more you shut up the more this thing goes up.
Now I'm not an expert of TA or anything, and OGs are not saying anything here so I want to be cautious and sh* but, would you like a cup of STFU?

If I could up vote you 100 times I would! Well said.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: onG Coin ICO 8/11/17 on: October 12, 2017, 08:40:53 PM
Ok total newb here....or at least i think i know a little but after participating on the ICO weeks ago, I'm now worried i can not access myetherwallet. I have the key and public address but i cant find a way on the site to just look at the wallet? It says enter public key and no enter button to proceed.

Also will the tokens i purchased go to this wallet? I bought with cash and read the white paper instructions where they would email you at the time to collect tokens at their site. I never intended to use myetherwallet and only set it up as it was requested on buying these coins.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Long Term HODL Cryptos on: October 11, 2017, 10:21:47 PM
I wonder how many actually HODL long term....I would bet 90% don't.

Long term bags - (Still looking to add projects if and when i find value)
Ardor (Has history with Nxt, solves blockchain bloat, Setup like a bank, This is going to be big)
Syscoin (Hardworking team)
Radium (Undervalued compared to competition + POS rewards)
Florincoin (All about Alexandria)

Short term bag
Next (upcoming snapshot)

Newb question incoming!

I feel like I've been looking and researching Ardor for ages but still don't understand the basic idea of BAAS. Why would a business want their own block chain and currency?  How does this idea transit into the real world? Is it just a way for new projects to gain from ICO crowdfunding? Is it a way for the business to take on its own currency that would be viewed as shares for its employees and/or shareholders? Can these businesses add and store data safely on their respective chains?

Well, one use case that will be implemented as child-chain close to launch is assets that are pegged. So 1 token would be 1 Euro or such. It's ideal on the child-chain since the fees would be denominated in Euro with this example.

Similarly for example for businesses that want customer loyalty tokens. Let's say Starbucks-dollars. Starbucks can set tighter controls. For example it can block trade between users, so that only the company can give them out. Again, transfer fees could be nasty for users... so Starbucks could even support the chain and pay all fees (it would become the bundler).

That's only some ideas. As far as I understand, that could even allow them to create unique functionality for their own tokens. I would personally really like to see limited wallets for end users, that only support the features they specifically need.

At the end a lot of the Ethereum use cases, you could probably do with child-chains. It's more limited, but might do for most ideas. It will be more secure and easier to create.

Starbucks might even run their own blockchain ... I suppose they could afford it. But they don't really need to - they can rely on a big decentralized network of nodes. That should be fine. And for mid-sized or smaller businesses it would be a great option.
Also here I found an example for Blockhain-as-a-Service based on NXT that seems interesting (saving server logs on the blockchain to prevent hacks)

Thank you for the taking the time to reply with a nice angle of what could be with Ardor. I didn't know they could peg coins to currency, and have not seen that information anywhere on the platforms. That in itself could be a game changer as it screams stability to me for businesses and projects that want to get into the block chain space.

I'll be checking that link out. Thanks again.

any idea when Ignis ICO ends>?

I believe it'll be November 4th. It'll then take at least 2 weeks after this date before the snapshot takes place.
