There is no worker password requirement with multipool. Something else must be wrong. What is happening? Are you using the correct worker name? Each worker name must be added on https://www.multipool.us/accountdetails.php page. It is username.worker  example... allbiznessman.1 allbiznessman.2

Make sure you are using a period (.) and not an underscore (_) between the user and worker names, with your miner.

Just enter a number or name in the box that says user, beside your username where you add your workers. Then in your miner use -u or --user, and....     username.worker

+1 to that!!! I don't use the multiport anymore because I like to choose which coin I think is profitable, I only mined CGB for a long time, but now the block reward is so low I am mining CAP, but if I could mine both that would be cool. Is it even possible to merge mine on scrypt coins??? That would be awesome if I could merge mine CAP and CGB like many BTC mining pools do with BTC and NMC. PLus the link in my signature does BTC, NMC, IXC, and DVC all merged mining simultaneously. That would be awesome to merge mine scrypt. I am assuming it is not possible though, probably due to the memory/RAM required in scrypt mining, and someone would be doing it already if it could be done. But either way, even choosing the coins which you mine in a multiport is still a good idea. +1 again!!!

Hey all Multipool miners, do not worry, I am pretty sure we are all working and getting paid, only the stats for these coins are not updating on the website, but the backend work, payments, etc is actually working. Flound hasn't replied to me yet but I have seen this issue before, and I believe that he just needs to reset one of the servers or a frontend pool script which only takes a minute, plus y ratio of CAP per hour is updating and is around 20  - 40 average even though the stats say no block has been found in over 6 1/2 hours. So don't worry, and I just received a withdrawal because I lowered my auto-withdrawal, so I now have a zero balance and I will update here if/when my balance increases to prove that this is true! Maybe one of the MEC miners, can post if/when their balance increases... or a withdrawal is received.

Now, after looking back, I see that CAP, CGB, and MEC all have not found any blocks in over 6 1/2 hours, according to the stats. Plus MNC, FTC, NVC, and LTC are all over that time... is this just an issue with the stats updating, on the front-end, yet we are still working correctly on the backend? I have seen that happen a lot. Either way I just want to make sure you are aware and we are all getting paid for our work. Thanks again Flound!!!

I have been mining bottlecaps only on pool1.multipool.us for a few days, successfully, and it seems that something is wrong or very odd. The normal time for discovering a new block is 9 minutes, and we have not found one in over 6 1/2 hours. The difficulty is only at 0.53 and newer miners have joined me, two who have more hash power than I. Can you try to see if it is on a alternate chain, or stuck for some reason. If I were you, I would stop bottlecapsd, then delete peers.dat, and then restart bottlecapsd. Thanks flound!!!

PS... I see the post above stating no blocks for MEC as well, so it may be another issue, or we may be solving them and they aren't showing up in stats. Please let me know what is up.

Cool site, I saw another somewhere, don't remember where, and it is great for you, because if someone does not have a coinbase.com account and they use your faucet and buy or sell at least 1 BTC you will receive $% worth of BTC from CoinBase. Yes it is up to the miners. Anyone can set bitcoind to only accept transactions with 0.0005 BTC transaction fees if they wanted, and if their hash rate is high enough to solve a block reward than that is what will go. Like the add on which was debated quite a while back, to avoid all satoshidice addresses. It is up to the miners. If you have the hash rate, you have the control of who goes and who waits.

Another thing which I noticed today, which may or may not be related, is that while making a few satoshidice bets, one bet would show 22:40 and then my bet would come in and showed 21:41, and another right after it showed 23:42. It was quite odd I thought and also it caused one or 2 of my bets to take forever to be returned. While other peoples bets were being returned after one confirmation, my bet which was an hour or 2 before (only according to the time shown) had to wait for about 6 to 8 confirmations before it paid out. This was sent through my blockchain wallet. Flound... why don't you use CloudFlare? It is a free service, and GREAT (I used it for all my business investment websites, some HYIP which everyone tries to hack and DDoS) OR they also have an upgraded plan which is only like $20 per month with extra DDoS protection, but even the basic protects against small DDoS. You point your domain name at the Nameservers that Cloudflare gives you for your account and then you control the DNS from CloudFlare and they send all requests to your IP/server. So it is much harder to find the actual IP of your server, IP lookups show one of CloudFlares IP's. It is a real good service... a necessity with money/investments/cryptos/etc.

It is way cheaper than these expensive DDoS hosting companies, but it works awesome. When I had my HYIP (High Yield Investment Sites there was one known successful CloudFlare attack on their network which didn't last long. You can also block IP's or even whole regions with just 1 click, because it lists any suspicious visitors in your account and you just click "block" and they are.

...I did not proceed, because I know you have been dealing with the DDoS and as you see it says someone may have hijacked the server to redirect me somewhere else where to a Phishing Site copy of Multipool and steal login info.

It could be because you are making changes with DNS or HostName to add DDoS protection such as CloudFlare, or thee certificate has expired or something like that... but I am not going until I know for sure. Please respond and let me know if you know about this warning and if it is safe, something that was caused by you. Thanks!

I posted this earlier, haven't got a reply from Flound yet, all the stats relating to worker, hashrates, and shares are stuck... only the balance, blocks, and the MP are updating. Your worker is working, it just won't show till that gets fixed, I have seen the site do that one or two other times.

Your balance hasn't changed because a block has not been found in over 2 days. That's why I stopped mining NVC right after I started, and now I only mine CGB... there are only 11 people mining NVC and the highest hash rate is you and like 2 others with only 2,000 KH/s each... the rest less than 1,000. NVC difficulty is way too high (386) for 11 miners with a combined hash rate of 10.4 MH/s to solve a block, except maybe once a week if that. NVC gets a block reward when the MP switches to it.

I would suggest moving to CGB, with a 0.003 BTC value and a block every 5 - 10 minutes on multipool, sometimes every minute or 2. When the MP switches to CGB there are like 2 blocks per minute and it are not too many regular miners either. We usually only have like 35 regular miners, and with 2,500 KH/s you would be getting about .5 CGB every hour... that's 0.0015 BTC per hour.... right now. The difficulty is usually only around 5 -7 right now, and pays 1/10th of what NVC pays, and NVC difficulty is about 50 times higher... that is also why the MP rarely switches to NVC.

I can access the site, like I said... it's slow and the stats (listed above) aren't updating, but I cannot access the account details page, which I really need, because I can tell by my shares and earnings on recent blocks that a bunch of my workers are down... but I have so many of them that I just have everything numbered with workers and IP's in a list, so I need to access that page... so whenever you can get it up I'll greatly appreciate it. Flound, also, all user stats are stuck... personal and other users... stats.php?curr=cgb (only coin I mine) shows no changes in all user's stats, positions, shares, hash rates, and the top 10 hashers. None of that info is changing, only balance info and blocks are updating. The same issue at the top left, for shares, hash rate, and expected reward... and the same on accountdetails.php none of those stats and workers are updating.

I have seen this happen before, obviously it got fixed, and it may be due to the attacks, but I just wanted to mention it cause I have a lot of machines/workers, and like to keep track of my hash rates, workers, and shares to make sure they are all running and none of that info has changed in hours.
