Pretty happy with the hash rate so early on. A good 30-40 miners on the pool I'm mining!

Wouldn't mind seeing some more interest pushed this way. Solid coin and name. Anyone else liking at least the short term out look for this currency?

I have given away 61 x 100 GLDcoins = 6100 GLDcoins

I hope you all use them to do some trading for things!
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GLDCoin - A Litecoin Based Currency With a More Favorable Block Reward on: May 24, 2013, 06:06:43 AM

How about offering people some free GLDcoin for joining gldcointalk.org and posting a couple of times?
Some of you have enough GLD to give some away?

Also, the downloads page could be made easier for people to download gldcoin qt exe
Whereas when I downloaded, there was a long list on the downloads page that may confuse the non-programmers.
Try to make it more user friendly.

GLDcoin needs more PR work.

Definitely GLDcoin needs to have a webpage with all the links on it, that go to GLDcoin related stuff..

You replaced the site we worked on already.

Whatever I guess.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GLDCOIN @ Cryptsy! YAY on: May 24, 2013, 05:59:00 AM
Feathercoin is on the list too, you guys just appear to have one right in the initial stages of taking newbies money, and also seems to be a more obvious scam with the amount pre-mined and the very fast exchange integration.

I would say noobs are safe from GLD as it won't make it past the Cryptsy exchange. Everyone else should be well aware of GLD's shady history and the tools that support it.
What shady history lol.

Don't be like that.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GLDCOIN @ Cryptsy! YAY on: May 24, 2013, 05:56:50 AM
I wouldn't worry about the dumps cause that is just the nature of what happens when there is high block reward in the beginning. The actual spread of the currency has to happen now. If someone wants to make money on GLDcoin the only way is to put in the work to create a back bone for it's value. Which means creating venues where GLDcoins are accepted. This could be something as simple as a payment system in a game where you buy in game currency for GLDcoins. Simple little things like this add up quickly because it spreads the user base around.

If you want to know what GLDcoin has over others. It's that if you provide the environment for it to grow the coin will hold its self up. The name is also very clever because gold is a timeless symbol for money. Meaning it's very easy for people of all ages accept "gold"coins over lets say... "feather"coins ect. As a legitimate token of value.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GLDCoin - A Heavily premined coin, does it make sense to mine it??? on: May 20, 2013, 10:36:33 PM
We Could also argue why WorldCoin has 265 million coins instead of 100 million Goldcoins and their are now more WorldCoins mined than GoldCoins.

One likes GoldCoin the other hates it. But when a Coin is succesfull people start open daily topics attacking the coin.

Because it wasn't a fair launch.
One could argue it can never be fair for any launch, think about what you are saying here.

Nothing is going to be optimum for everyone, and you can only get so much pre-exposure. At what point does the universe have more control over reality then your logic?

I did think about it. I just look at the past at which coins had early adopter rewards and how they're doing now in the market and especially how they're perceived by the market. (eg. bitbar, mincoin)
I understand your point, but don't you agree with mine?
It's silly to think that all things are going to be equal in this universe.

You're right but then shouldn't the pre-exposure been in the proper sub-forum at least?

There's no way to make things fair (whether orphans, bad binaries (elacoin)) but it is possible to try to balance things out and GLDCoin to me was a very lop-sided release.
I don't know if you are exactly correct with your assumption that this sub-forum is any more "fair" for releases to be made.

Imagine if just one dude with a mining farm had gotten to this coin in the first 24 hours.
I guess the best way to figure it out would be to start Silver coin here in the "proper" sub-forum and see what happens. I imagine about the same as GLDcoin would happen. Just with more hate.

I don't care about how heavily premined or that it was posted in newbie section. The community is very giving. I have gotten more gld than any other coin. WDC from what I have been told cannot be sustained and is susceptible to degeneration due to its ultra fast confirm time. Too fast some say.

There is no need to dismiss GLD they come on here and do it themselves ^^ by bashing WDC lmfao, they are such easy pickings.

Lol wut.

No one in here has mentioned worldcoin in a negative light lol

Very solid point about something that matters in relation to a coins worth and success.

lol, that was a pre-announcement thread, it was re-named later. Using that to cheat? check the block browser yourself, the timestamps there do not lie. The formal announcement thread has a time stamp, it does not lie. You can change whatever your posts in the pre-announcement thread, any time you want, you think no one knows it? It's a joke!

Cause the whole community based under GLDcoin is a single 12 year old with 30 different accounts. Next please.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GLDCoin - A Heavily premined coin, does it make sense to mine it??? on: May 20, 2013, 10:07:35 PM
Lol. People need a life, this coin was not premined and there is a lot of proof in the treads that have been created by newcomers giving away a large portion of their lucky hoards. The people who mined it in the beginning were mostly newcomers to this forum. All you need is a little logic to see that this post is total hog wash.

Anyone who wants proof has to simply read the GLDcoin thread from start to finish. It's pretty clear to me it's being supported by upstanding people.

Well there is www.cavirtex.com in Canada.
They have said that they are looking at allowing users from out side of Canada.
They also do have a MSB license too.
Nice find
