What is the best graphics card to purchase in terms of cost vs power vs hash?
Would a lower build cost with a bigger volume of GPUs be worth it?
Nvidia 2080TI 2080 1080TI 180 1070TI 1070 1060 1050 TI 1050
AMD Radeon VII Vega 64 Vega 56 RX580 RX570 RX560 RX480
Will monero continue to fork to support GPU miners? Will other coins do the same?
Do GPUs help to promote new development in blockchain 'updates' as they support forks?
are ASICs stuck to one mining algorithm as well as potential further 'updates' or forks?
Best decided by your coin of interest. Most have unique requirements and specifications although some miners can be accommodating. Just like T-Rex and CryptoDredge serves as better Nvidia mining software That's what i was thinking. I'm researching best coin, but I'm worried with 7nm the difficulty is going to jump.

Currently for new GPUs, best ROI is still with RX570/580 8GB that can be bought bulk for around 110USD per GPU depending on the quantity. This is what the majority of our BIG BULK (10k GPU or more) customers go for when ordering Octominer rigs.
Right now there are also very good deals for Nvidia P104 8GB GPUs, that perform very well on Ravencoin, Beam and Ethereum also. ROI is around 300 days at current prices at 5C electricity.
Where can you buy 10,000 GPUs?

|
Yes, but if you're capable of a large volume of GPU miners in your farm wouldn't that mitigate the risk?
|
|
|
Even if the build cost is cheaper and you're capable of large volumes of GPUs using 12nm is a mistake?

any word on fusion silicon being legit?

|

Why use AIO miner over another platform?
|
|
|
IMO - The only reason the market isn't flooded is because the coin is down in price and mining is not as appealing. There was a figure of 2000 miners being manufactured someone mentioned in a previous post. If that is a true figure someone can do a calculation on difficulty increase if all 2000 are released and turned on. I don't know how to figure that math out.

kinda thinking this will be the D3 all over again. Why wouldn't the difficulty just spike making these worthless?

I did end up getting in touch with Cassie. She said she would send me an email from a @fusionsilicon.com address. I havent received it yet.

I’m in contact with Fisher and Cassie.
will you be ordering any miners? Can you ask them about the contract?
|
|
|
I didn’t see much of a contract. Can you upload a screenshot of it here?
have you messaged anyone on wechat? I had a person named Fisher accept my friend request. I messaged them, but no response.

I'm still a newbie. I cannot upload images yet. Select this on the order menu. https://imgur.com/hyz1OZtCreate order and go to check out screen Click the download sales contract. It will download the PDF. https://imgur.com/rRCFAqoNot really sure how important this step may be. I would like to order some of these miners, but am nervous!!! Google offers a document translator and it seems like this contract does add at least an illusion of an agreement. It would still need to be honored.

I am told that Xinyang Smart Cloud Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. (信阳智慧云电子科技有限公司) is FusionSilicon's sales company. And, that Shenzhen Fusionsilicon Semiconductor Co., Ltd (深圳泛思半导体有限公司) is their R&D and production company.
Did you download the sales contract? Is that something that needs to be filled out? It's all in Chinese.

This is very old and inaccurate.

I'm having trouble figuring out how to calculate my mining income with cointracking, if someone could help me out.
I can make a tax report which calculates gains and losses. But my mining transactions that I've imported into cointracking are not calculated with that, since I haven't sold anything I've mined yet.
Is there a way to calculate what my income has been? The IRS says it should be calculated at the point of receipt, so it would be nice if cointracking added up the value of all my mining transactions at the time they were mined. Instead of calculating the current value of all my mining proceeds.
Thanks for the help!!
Are you recording/uploading your transactions from your wallet as "mining" ? Here is what I have figured out on how to track tax liability from Mining using Cointracking. I use this for mining Small-Cap, Alt-coins to a Wallet, no Cointracking API: 1 - I've exported the transaction from the wallet to Excel. (Most wallets have this feature). 2 - I use the Excel file in CT bulk upload: Type - Mining (I've added this after the export) Buy - quantity mined, Currency - the Symbol Mined, like BWK (I've added this after the export) Exchange - I call each Wallet an exchange - like "BWK Wallet" (I've added this after the export) Date - make sure that you keep the time stamp from the Wallet. 3 - Back to Cointracking, Enter Coins - Bulk Imports - Excel - [Filename] 4 - Review import and update Cointracking 5 - In Cointracking, Report - Trade Prices - Excel; now the mining has a value attached to each transaction. 6 - In Excel, sort by type (mining) and date (Tax Year). Copy and paste to clean file and there you go, tax file for income earned on mining. Hope this helps. Have you continued to use this strategy? How has tracking mining income gone over the past few months?

Do you know where i can find firmware for Innosilicon a8+ to make him dual mining for cryptonight-light also? Who know about diffenses INNO a8+ and that Baikal? I think inside they are same... May be somebody try to update a8+ with baikal frimware? I want cryptonight-light double speed for my pumkin))
A8+ is just another asic, it cant be updated to a new algo like cryptonight-light, only baikals can do cryptonight-light Do we know if the N240 is FPGA? Could they update this to new Cryptonight V7?
