1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : *** shutting down - please withdraw your coins *** on: July 09, 2014, 12:38:46 AM
Hey Dooglus,
Sent you a PM recently. Sorry to hear about the situation. Hopefully things will change for the better going forward. The crypto community landscape, gambling or otherwise, would be quite different without the games and developers such as yourself have contributed.

Here's to looking forward! Cool
2  Economy / Gambling / Re: Satoshibones LTC stake sold out! BTC Bones still going strong! on: July 08, 2014, 07:11:36 AM
Just a quick update! The June investor's stake payments for Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Dogecoin have all been paid out as of July 1st! Thank you for the support and we look forward to returning the profits, and the winnings, back to our supporters and players alike!

In other news.... Sorry for the crickets! IT has been a very busy time for Satoshibones and Bitzillions! We have lots of new updates coming, some already applied, and general fancying up of the general layout of the site! (Take, for example, the new Rules page!) We will be making a more detailed announcement in the following days! Keep your eyes open!

Good Luck!

Happy to announce that our Litecoin Satoshibones Stake has been completely sold out! At already almost 25,000+ individual, onchain bets with over 190,000 LTC (~$2.2 million!!) wagered we look forward to the continuing growth of Bitzillion's Satoshibones and bringing profits to our investors!  Cheesy

If you'd like to try your luck head over to the Litecoin side of Satoshibones today!

I would love to see Feathercoin added on your site, even if I had some troubles with my first 2 Bitcoin bets.

Ive got no transaction back so far.

My bet were 0.01BTC and 0.005BTC.. 7hours ago and still no win/loss outcome.

Regards,
ChekaZ

Hello again ChekaZ,

Just as in response to your PM, the "response" transaction, so to speak, is the amount of your bet multiplied by 0.005. In the event that the amount bet multiplied by 0.005 does not exceed the Transaction Fee (.001 btc) then the "Response" transaction will not be sent. Being an on-chain game, we pay the fee each time. However, if we paid the fee even when tiny bets were placed, it would become expensive!  Sad

In other words, you must send a bet amount beyond 0.2 btc to see the "response" transcation signifying a loss. Otherwise, if you have sent a bet beyond 0.2 you will see the response transaction. For example, if you send a bet of .006btc and do not win, the amount of .005 multpied by .005 (0.006 X 0.005 = .00003) is less than the transaction fee of 0.001, so the loss response will not be sent. However, if you send a bet of 0.2+ BTC and do not win, you will receive the loss response multiplied by 0.005... for example you send 0.21 btc and do not win, you will receive .0005 back, which is the amount multiplied by .005 less the .001 transaction fee!

I hope that clears up the issue!

As for Feathercoin, we are in the process of building the next version of our site model. We are considering other cryptos as we move forward! Maybe Feathercoin will make a debut Wink.

Hey all,

Small announcement about the short period of planned downtime earlier today! We decided to upgrade some hardware in order to better handle the increasing amount of traffic and bets that we are experiencing following our site-wide overhaul and the new feature of supporting Litecoin and Dogecoin betting in addition to our flagship Bitcoin game. As the games are purely on-chain none of the betting across any of the coins or platforms were affected! Your bets, if placed during the down time, continued as usual albeit maybe they returned a bit quicker after the fact! We are excited to see that the site can now handle the increased traffic and bets being placed across all the coins! Cheesy

That all said we encourage our new or regular bettors alike to try and put the system to strain Wink. We are quite sure that it is more than adequately up to the challenge now!

Speaking of following, check out our Twitter for the latest on the Bitzillions' investments, big wins, site news, planned down time, and my exceptionally witty views from the eyes of a sentient machine in love with cryptocurrencies. Yeah.

Thanks for playing!

Stakeholder's payouts have been processed and paid out for the month of April '14 for Bitcoin and Dogecoin Satoshibones!    Smiley Cheesy

Unfortunately we ended on a pretty significant loss on Litecoin Satoshibones (-3176.378 LTC!!) A hearty congratulations to our new players for taking the house this month Wink. The profit fluctuated back and forth between +200 to -3500 throughout the month. Pretty awesome to watch. They must have had a pretty decent strategy!  We dare you to throw the bones and do it again!  Grin Grin

Thanks for the support and good luck!
7  Economy / Gambling / Re: Official Announcement! SatoshiBones just added Doge! Looking for investors!! on: April 27, 2014, 06:47:52 AM
Much Excitement! Dogecoin SatoshiBones is now LIVE . Wow! Check it out!

Such Announcement! We are happy to announce that Doge SatoshiBones is now live for both doge dice betting as well as the continued opportunity to Bet on the House for a portion of 10% of all future profits of Doge Satoshibones.

A quick synopsis of the situation: We had initially delayed launching the doge betting as we lacked the initial influx of investors we enjoyed with both our LTC Satoshibones and Bitcoin Satoshibones dice games at launch. The LTC and BTC games received immediate attention and investments where as this slower start made for the short delay in launching live betting. The Litecoin Satoshibones Stake, for example, launched just a week or so before Dogecoin Satoshibones and has already seen a purchase of 96.45% of the stake. Almost its entirety is spoken for by our various supporters! Unfortunately Doge Satoshibones did not see such a quick uptake. Despite the sluggish start we now have enough investors to safely run betting!  Cool

As more people invest in the game we will raise the bet limits in kind. So, the more that people invest = the more people can bet, thus the more profit can be had or larger bets can be won!

Of course, if anyone has any questions about investing, playing, or would like to give us some creative criticism I'm all ears! Or, eyes. You get it!

Bark on, shibes.

this is exciting Smiley this is a good alternate for people tired of dice game.

Thanks seandaniel! We have plans to do much more than  simple on-chain, dice style betting in the near future as well. Keep your eyes out for new versions of the site! Thanks for your support!

Hey mem! I was wondering about our status as still pending for Bitzillions? Huh Was there more you needed from me to be verified or evaluated? We'd love to be set as approved!

Thanks!! Grin

That doge logo scares the shit out of me! Like some three headed doge Cerberus from hell or something. I like it! Will try it out sometime.

Haha, I didn't see that before. Now I can't unsee it.... thanks for that. Cheesy Glad someone likes it!!

As soon as we open up the betting I'll post here again for the Dogecoin side. The stake is obviously still available!
12  Economy / Gambling / Re: Official Announcement! SatoshiBones just added Doge! Looking for investors!! on: April 20, 2014, 12:40:52 AM
An update on Litecoin and Dogecoin betting at Bitzillions Satoshibones:

  • Great news!! We now have less than 5% of the Litecoin Stake available. We are very close to having the entire stake purchased by our supporters! A purchase in this stake guarantees you a proportional profit of 10% of ALL future profits of LTC.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • As for the Dogecoin side, we are still in need of investors!!! Currently Dogecoin betting is disabled until we have a portion of the investment covered, however if you're curious about the viability and history you can look at our Bitcoin profit numbers from last month (as well as any prior months, as it is all available for scrutiny and transparency) and you will see that the site consistently pays out it's investors each month and has continued to report increased bet numbers as well as verified and fair play.

If anyone has any questions about investing with us at Bitzillions feel free to respond to the thread, PM me, or email here.

We'd love to hear feedback on the site as whole, as well as the new additions of the DOGE and LTC! Cheers!
13  Economy / Gambling / Re: Official Announcement! SatoshiBones just added Doge! Looking for investors!! on: April 14, 2014, 09:22:12 AM

Official announcement about the Dogecoin Dice addition to SatoshiBones!

We will be launching the betting shortly (currently disabled for the time being) Doge SatoshiBones is now LIVE and we are now offering the opportunity again to BET ON THE HOUSE! We have set the initial limit of the Dogecoin Stake at 250megaDOGE for 10% of ALL future profits of the Dogedice side of Satoshibones. Right now, 99% of the Doge stake is available!

Come one come all. Such excitement! Wow, such opportunity ahead!
 Smiley Wink

I'll be keeping this thread updated as new developments come.

Thanks!

Coming up on a  BIG milestone for Bitzillions! We are less than 200 bets away from our 300,000th Bitcoin bet at SatoshiBones!

It has been a long, arduous road of learning and fun and we want to thank all our players, supporters, and investors for believing in us. It has been a GREAT year at Bitzillions and we are looking forward to what the next year will hold for the future of Bitcoin and Bitzillions.

Thanks for playing!! Smiley Grin Cheesy Wink Smiley Cool
15  Economy / Securities / Re: Buying shares in bitcoin casinos - Yea or Nay? on: April 09, 2014, 07:41:54 AM
SatoshiBones is selling 10% of all future profits for a total of 250BTC: http://bitzillions.com/satoshibones/stake They are wonderfully honest and transparent but from looking at the payment reports it seems as though not even the biggest investors are making more than $20 per month. The converter I use is here: http://coinmill.com/BTC_USD.html I wouldn't invest in this because I want my investment to be a highly profitable one! And won't each investor's monthly payment decrease even further as the 10% is dispersed between the final total of a HUGE number of investors? Because if that's how it works I don't see why anyone would buy shares.

That website doesn't meet the requirements for provably fair betting. They don't post the hash of the server seed in advance, which makes it possible for a malicious operator to skew the results. And even if the operator is not malicious, the fact that the hash isn't posted in advance makes you question the experience/knowhow of the operator.

Anyway, the bet volume on that site seems really low. 250 BTC buys you only 10% of the profits, so the expected gains are really low, especially considering the fact that the Bitcoin gambling business is highly competitive, with new sites and innovations popping up regularly. SatoshiBones is a straight-up clone of SatoshiDice without any new innovations to attract gamblers (the house edge is slightly smaller at 1.5% instead of 1.9%, but there are plenty of 1% edge sites already). Furthermore, there is no information on how you can withdraw your investment, if it's even possible and whether you can always withdraw the full invested amount even if the site loses.

@Rannasha:

Thank you for your critique of Satoshibones.    While I appreciate your honest feedback, I would like to counter some of your assertions.

* Provably fair

We have a fixed daily secret common to all bets that day.   If we were to alter this for any given bet, it would be very apparent to anyone who looked.   I'll gladly provide you data of all roll history, from which it is clear we do not cheat and have never cheated.

Providing a hash of the secret in advance is an idea we will gladly entertain.   We have nothing to hide.

We have now been in continuous operation for 1 year (just had our 1st Anniversary Wink) . Not insubstantial for the Bitcoin world.

* Bet volume

The only volume which really matters is number of bitcoin bet.   This has been increasing steadily, as has profitability.   Our investors have been paid monthly since the start, and as we continue to see increased play, their break-even point will come sooner.   This is not a get-rich-quick investment, but a steady dividend on a long-term investment.   Each investor has their own goals, and we cannot say that it is right for every investor.

*  Value add (over s.dice)

We won't deny that the site began as a s.dice clone.   We are working hard to develop 2nd gen games which will work off-chain.  But we do believe there are reasons some players will always prefer on-chain betting, and our aim is to make the service we offer the best around.

Most of the positive feedback we've received has been from customers who like the simplicity and responsiveness of our site.  We aim to make it easy to see your bet result as quick as we can safely bring it to you.

S.dice no longer pays out on unconfirmed bets.  I think that's a pretty big difference.

* Withdrawal of stake

Our house stake is a long-term investment.   It is not typical for private companies to offer investment which can be withdrawn at will.   Down the road we do plan to set up something of a marketplace for people interested in selling their shares.  This needs to be done carefully to ensure we follow any securities related laws.

I hope that helps to clear up anything. If you have any other concerns please let me know!!

-Ben at Bitzillions

Edit: check out the official thread here as well for more info! Smiley
16  Economy / Gambling / Re: Official Announcement! One year ANNIVERSARY at Satoshibones: Makeover & altcoins on: April 09, 2014, 06:29:06 AM
Site is down at the moment.

We have suffered a denial l of service attack unfortunately but are sorting it out now.

Don't panic!! Will be returning shortly. Smiley

And we're back! The only thing affected was the webpage showing the active bet list. Bet processing and service was never affected and all continued (all processing is done away from the main site, there were zero delays in receiving or sending payments). Total disruption time was less than 45 minutes. Smiley

Looks like we got the 400th and 500th bet! That was fast.

The 400th bet gift: http://block-explorer.com/tx/41fc9af8a07cc7293c56c9bcb0be29077d9a4072172742531e60c0e0a0a1e102

The 500th bet gift: http://ltc.blockr.io/tx/info/fb3f0232f759e553479cef0259ecad48b8d67a148d8c785b44fb854e3022bbb4

Note: We have switched to using http://ltc.blockr.io/ for the LTC transaction links that coincide and update with each successive bet. Appears to update quicker over block explorer.

We still have about 441 (~9%) Litecoins of the initial 10% stake still available for purchase. The BET ON THE HOUSE offer will be available until the last portion is sold! If you prefer investing over gambling a portion of the stake is a good option.

That is a nice looking site, I'm going to have to check it out. One year in this business isn't easy so a hearty congratulations goes out to you.

Hey thanks!! We were just as surprised to still be around haha. If you're interested in the Litecoin SatoshiBones there's still a chance to hit the 500th bet and nab 1.0 LTC win or lose Wink.

Also, keep an eye out (hint hint) on the BTC Satoshibones for the same style give aways very soon. We are trying to take a more active role in the player community. I'm trying to keep up with updating our twitter for that kind of stuff as well.
