Can i gelp you with this page? You are doing very well.
maybe help testing or creating a few members? A group?
yes you can gelp
Everyone can gelp in fact.
Start by being extremely critical of any provably fair claims. If you can think of a variable that is not covered then flag it here and with the site operator.
I often get bogged down in peoples provably fair implementations.
For example, yaabtcl - looks nice, but tbh its a far cry from provably fair.
Im not doubting its fair, but here is my current example:
one and half hour before the time of the draw, a file will be generated containing all the tickets that will participate in the draw. We will timestamp the SHA256 file hash with a bitcoin transaction.
OK, what is the order of the addresses in the file ?
I contacted the admin, who said it is chronological order by time of bet.
OK, how can I as a player tell what times the bets were made ?
waiting on response.
Now assume the response suggests I use one of the sites pages to see bet history, well thats pretty good but what stops the site from changing their database as well as the file order ? if the answer is nothing then its not provably fair.
How would I resolve this issue ?
Well if I HAD to use a file of all payout addresses Id personally sort it alphabetically thus removing any potential shuffling of bet times from the problem.
buuuut then, how do we know their not sneaking in another bet at the last minute after checking the results and not being happy with the payouts ?
again I'll be waiting on the response of the site owner.
Now just because someones provably fair system is not provably fair under close scrutiny does not mean it is not fair.
Often site admins make a sincere attempt to demonstrate that their system is fair but fail in the implementation.
So a bit of feedback to the site owners can go a long way (they usually respond to my suggestions happily) and it helps me quickly review a site when I get around to it.
You could pick any site in my pending list, give it your own once over and post findings here
