Terrahash : you really hurt me. I gave you $4125, you wont even respond to any messages. I payed via bank wire transfer so I am screwed. I have reported you to state level consumer protection agencies, as well as the Federal Trade Commision. I have send multiple emails, you haven't responded to any. Your phone number is not even working anymore. I am a person and you stole money from me. I am a person and you hurt me. You made me suffer, you brought pain onto me.

You sit at your desk trying to make more moves, rather than clean up the mess you have made.  Your reputation in the bitcoin world is total crap, mostly due to lack of communication. Your company is 'disolving'... where did my money go? Send it back to me. Where did my money go? You can't take my money and invest it, that is fraud. You have to deliver a product within a certain date, when the product that has been paid for does not show up, that is fraud.  I have asked you on more than one occasion for a refund and you have not givin me one, that is fraud. You took my money with no intention of ever giving me anything, that is fraud.

I sat and tried to be patient, I tried not to say mean or hurtful things about you hoping that you would try to make this right. You took my money. Well Terrahash, you commited fraud, and you stole my money. I hope I will get my money back and I hope you rot in jail like you deserve.... but those are dreams.

I want a 100% refund delivered yesterday.

Funny how if you walk into a supermarket and steal some steak (or anything), you'll get caught and go to jail.  This guy is walking around free as a bird.  Amir - you should be in prison!!!!

I'd highly advise anyone who has suffered a loss from this character, to contact the following.

http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/investigate/white_collar

http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

Start putting the pressure on this chump.  The more time that passes, the less likely you are to see results.

I have already filed a case with both of them as well as my local state (Oregon, which there is one other complaint from Oregon as well). I have submitted copies of all reciepts and filled out all the paperwork. I have also filed with the FTC.

If terrahash would just communicate what they are doing for their customers then I would not be upset. I understand that engineering these miners is very difficult. I wish they would let us know how and where they are spending my money, and how they are going to give me $4000 of value for the $4000 cash I gave to them almost 6 months ago.

3  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Incoming Avalon News 8/9/2013 on: August 18, 2013, 06:49:47 AM
Whether or not it is difficult or Avalon had some troubles that they didn't intend or couldn't foresee is completely irrelevant in the legal sense. They stated they would have the chips within a certain time-frame and they are obligated to that time-frame regardless of what mishaps or unforeseen circumstances transpired. We do not owe them sympathy or a break. If Avalon doesn't want to own up to the risk associated with delivering product on time based upon a contract then they need to get out of the business.

Are you a lawyer?  While I'm not trying to defend Avalon at all, from a legal standpoint simply being late with an order is not a big deal - unless you have a contract specifying exactly how much they're supposed to pay if they don't ship on time, it's unlikely you could win a lawsuit against a supplier simply for being late.

The reality is, people are late with orders all the time.  Normally it isn't nearly as big of a deal.  If normal chips are late by a few months, nothing major happens.  Worst case a new product launch has to be pushed back, and major companies actually plan extra time for delays in designing product schedules.

In the bitcoin world, it's a huge deal.  In the "real" world it's not a big deal and not a big deal legally either.
Thank you for politely head checking this person. I have noticed that (s)he complains a lot and wants to spend more money on lawyers and court fees than helping the bitcoin community ( of which Yifu was a member long before whoever vigil is ).
I have about 4k riding on this and I remain optomistic because I have been mining for years, and I invested in my ideals rather than to make a quick buck on something that seems to not make a person happy. The concepts behind bitcoin bring more joy and light into me and my thoughts of the future, and that is what I invested in. Not my bank account, not my furrows of worry, but simply to enjoy the ride, and show others that , 'hey this is just a ride, it was meant to be fun and exilerating, have its ups and downs loops and turns....but its just a ride'. I hope everyone that participates in the making or breaking of the bitcoin economy remembers - it's just a ride.

-And Yifu - huge thanks for all the hardWork(fishes)

I am happy to hear the news from Yifu. I feel the tone of this community has a pretty poor attitude towards the engineers that make it all possible, and the people that work hard creating companies doing what they love (which is not sitting around making sure mining rigs have power). I know BFL took a really long time to develop their product, but Avalon has their product developed.

All this talk about making roi... maybe you should power them with an excersice bike instead of paying for overpriced middle America electricity fees. You would have enough time to calm down and make some happy molecules in your brains (these are important). Also if you plan on making real money(over 50k/yr min) by mining you might want to start looking for a real job again, I mine to support the bitcoin currency and to generate a littlte bit of it for myself, I also work 2 jobs and create electronics as a revenue generating hobby.

You must have understood the risk involved when you spent the money on chips... hell their wasn't even a working board design (other than avalons) when I spent my money. You must have seen what went down with BFL before you spent money on pre order chips from Avalon... Im glad I talked my buddy out of dropping $20k on boards from terrahash (dropped $2k instead, put 15k in a hedge and a little liquid). Did you not understand the rise in difficulty that was going to occur? I also didn't put all my eggs in one basket... if you are looking at bitcoin mining hardware as an investment then you should really diversify so you don't get burned.

I just feel the attitude in this room is a bit dark and could use some light. Especially seeing how none of this technology even existed a year ago and you are all complaining how screwed you are to not have the latest and greatest toys.

It's someone you know.
+1
stay away from people that do drugs (eat pills, do coke, etc), if you have hardware like an avalon, don't let people know what or where it is. If you have told them about the purchase, be forever waiting for a shipment.
6  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: TerraHash Order Queue and info on: June 19, 2013, 11:56:44 PM
#749 - 3 k16 boards   - paid
#920 - 13 k16 boards - paid

and orders #918 and #919 were also mine, but paypal was not letting me spend the money so I did a wire transfer on order #920 (I have recieved an email confirmation that funds have cleared).

Since these boards are going to be produced from the bkkcoin designs I chose to order the version that is under development and testing currently. I do not see any plans for the k64 in bkkcoin's github for this project (although once the k16 boards are up and have the communications ready, it should not be that hard to expand).
7  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: June 18, 2013, 08:27:55 PM
I tried to place an order and pay through paypal, but paypal would not let me send the funds ( on the second order for the day ). I ended up creating 3 order numbers (2 failed paypal and 1 that went through on the bank transfer).    Just saying, I wasted 4 order numbers for 2 actual orders.

Hopefully some people will not pay for the orders they placed.
8  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: June 18, 2013, 08:25:46 PM
I have one order that is processing (through paypal) and a second order that I used a bank transfer that is "on-hold".

This is an exciting day for me.... #74x and #92x.

I have been mining on slush's pool for a few months now, I never even notice little things like this. Thanks for pointing it out.

scam the scammers... and compile the list that is mentioned. Every time a scammer sends coin, their name is added to the list. A list that never existed in the first place, this kind of recursion cracks me up.

long time lurker, first time poster...  I appreciate this system. A lot of people want to hit the ground running without rtfm, then post crap cause they don't know what is what they just strut.... wtf.
Been mining for a while, joined just to get in on the auction action.
