I was wrong about Batch 2 being shipped and I'm assuming others jumped to conclusions like I did.. The email we're all getting is a Batch 1 resend with the new price AFTER refund. They resent the invoice. Can anyone confirm that Batch 2 has been shipped?

I just got my notification for shipment of 2nd batch

Can I convert my mined Bytom to ERC20?

I hope the miners that were complaining about the 2nd batch release (so soon and so cheap) come back and read this feed. This is the reason Bitmain had every right to release a second batch this soon and for a lower price. When the miners are making $300/day and have a 7 day head start on the the 2nd batch Bitmain can do whatever the hell they want as far as I'm concerned. Good on you Bitmain, thank you. Quite frankly, I can't believe Bitmain offered the refund. I've never seen a product released that will almost certainly ROI in less than 2 weeks.

Agree but how to ROI? I cant find a way to send the BTM from Offcial Bytom Wallet to any Exchange. I get this error "<action index 1: unknown address type>" when I try to do a transaction from the Wallet.

Any idea how to exchange?

The exchanges are using ERC20. Mining rewards go directly to Bytom. Hopefully the exchanges will accept Bytom soon.

This has me kind of worried.  Once an exchange gets it up and running, everyone is going to sell all at once and crash the price.

I had that thought also but let's look at the facts:

1.) 70% of Bytom are already in circulation. 987,000,000

2.) There are less than 1,000,000 new Bytom mined daily

3.) In the last 24 hours roughly $75 million worth of Bytom exchanged on different exchanges (coinmarketcap.com)

4.) Price is already down 20% in just a couple of days BTM/USD, down 50% BTM/ETH

My opinion is that if everyone goes to market at the same time on the same exchange with 100% of rewards when an exchange begins accepting BTM, yes the price will drop. But I don't believe that will happen. I also think a lot of the price adjustment is already baked in. We've had a huge run over the last week in nearly all crypto yet BTM is down significantly.

Also, this is Bitmain's baby. Do you think a multibillion dollar company is going to let their technology fail? It wouldn't surprise me if they bought more at a lower price much like an underwriter buying stock at an IPO to hold up the price.

Or I could be completely wrong and this is a $0.20 shitcoin this time next week. In which case I will only have made $40/day instead of $240 Wink

Mining for 6 hours and "unpaid" is 95 BTM on uupool... We'll see if we get paid out. Looks like 380ish BTM/day right now

I have 2 that are showing as hashing on port 6666 on ant pool. Other ports are dead. Hashing is confirmed on Antpool dashboard. No earnings yet though

The BTM hashrate on Antpool is way down.  Anyone know if it's still working?  I'm "alive" but I never see my worker go active on the dashboard.  How long does that normally take?   The UUpool shows "dead" as well...help

I don't think it's working either.. They're showing 28.4 KH/s which is only 36 machines, right? My pool is showing "alive" and it's working so I should be mining but who knows.

My b3 will be arriving this afternoon. I have no clue how to Solo or Pool mine with it. i never had a miner arrive where I did not have everything ready to go and up and running in 10mins. I think this one will be different.

Also can’t find a trusted exchange...

I'm in the same boat - mine will be arriving in a couple of hours and i have no idea what to do.

I'm trying Coinex.  They have a BTM wallet and can exchange to any other crypto.

Having a BTM wallet is not going to help if we cant mine at this moment. We need a pool to mine first and none is available yet

Antpool seems to be working

I see this a buy signal for BCH. They are one of the largest holders of BCH in the world. They're getting interest free financing and making money from appreciation. Genius. Too bad it screws the little guy.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain Launches the New Antminer B3 Miner on: May 03, 2018, 01:55:07 PM
You can mine directly from the Bytom wallet. Download the Bytom wallet and click on settings. Then toggle "Mine". I've never seen this before and there's no .exe that opens like Claymore so I'm not sure what's going on but I can confirm it's using my GPU's.

One more hour until Bitmain opens up for the day and starts damage control.

I just wrote a scathing complaint.

WTF?! You don't treat early adopters like this!!

I will NEVER go out on a limb like this again in the future. F*ck Bitmain  Angry

It's absolutely amazing that you people bitch so much about Bitmain. I bought 2 in the first batch and another today in the second batch because I believe that a company that made $4 billion last year knows what the hell they are doing. What if they know that this machine will net $200 a day for the first 7 days? That means that you made more money than the 2nd batch could literally ever make. Ever. People, chill out for a few days and let things air out. You might be surprised at how well Bitmain will treat it's early adopters. Also, keep in mind that this is Bitmain's baby.. this isn't a pump and dump, this is THEIR coin, THEIR technology.

As a US citizen is there an exchange that I can buy and sell Bytom? I can't seem to find one that will allow withdrawals without verification.

You can look here and choose one you like/trust

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bytom/#markets

I'm not sure this coinmarket cap link helps the original question much, as many / most of those Exchanges listed aren't available to US citizens ... maybe Bibox?

Most others won't let US citizens register, though Huobi announced recently that they are preparing to launch a US crypto trading site (so might wait until then, or see if Binance re-lists Bytom):
Huobi US sources:
https://www.coindesk.com/crypto-exchange-huobi-registers-with-fincen-ahead-of-us-launch/
https://cryptocurrencynews.com/daily-news/exchanges/huobi-exchange/

Doubt that any exchange will help. Most of the ones I tried consider Bytom an ERC20 token, however mined Bytom is going to be on the mainnet.
I think this is going to be an issue that most people purchasing the B3 aren't considering. $400/day sounds great but it's all funny money until you can either use it or exchange it.

Full disclosure I preordered this knowing that this could be an issue. I took a gamble and hope that by May 10th other exchanges start listing Bytom.

Can anyone put into layman's terms what exactly Bytom is used for? Real world scenario? Or is this one of those cases "if you have to ask you're too dumb to understand". And before you direct me to their website let me tell you, I've seen it.

in which pool could i mine bytom
More than likely AntPool

who exchanges this coin?

I think you bring up a good point.. Once mined how do you exchange the coin as a US citizen? It seems that the only exchanges in which the coin is listed, US citizens are not allowed to withdraw.

I'm experiencing the same issue on 2 different machines that have been running fine for close to a year... until about 2 weeks ago. I believe that it's a Windows 10 issue. For some reason Windows forced security updates even though I had them turned off. One machine will allow me to run 4 cards but not 5/6. I isolated different cards on different risers and it hangs no matter which 5 are operational so I know it's not riser/card. I uninstalled/reinstalled driver, reinstalled windows, reinstalled driver.. nothing. Has anyone come across this issue and been able to get their machine working?

I'm running RX 580s on Windows 10.

A third machine is now doing the same thing. Is anyone else experiencing this? Additionally windows doesn't allow you to go back to a previous build with the most recent update.
