378 units of AM traded today. None by us!

Between the new IPO and FC plus other daily divs going out the system db became sluggish.

why don't you fix your system? every time a squirrel pisses on a twig, your server gets overloaded.  It reminds me of why i stopped playing with this garbage 6 months ago.. nobody is reliable anymore.

friedcat do you feel the BE300 is already highly optimized (minus futher undervolting tests) enough to not make revisions to the chip/package etc itself?

Would you also be able to elaborate more on the operations side relating to DataTank or even AMHASH?

Any chance of an estimated date for financials?

Not surprised one bit..
Seeing him actually post in here was as rare as watching a solar eclipse.  It came, and went.. and now it's over.  Half of us are still staring at the sun, in awe of what happened as we slowly blind ourselves into an even deeper state of stupidity.

Meanwhile, Havelock enters the scene and is all like "omg FC talks and we crash!" as we watch about 40 shares trade hands, probably by havelock themselves.  same old story again and again.

I have over 90 BTC worth of coins lost through Mintpal.
If I get scammed I will be visiting that nerdy chubfuck in person, guaranteed.  I did this with the last asshole who took my coins and he couldn't stop shaking, compensated me nicely.

i'm starting to believe AM is complete garbage now, and not because of some shithead named lambchops, but rather FC's complete loss of grip on the market

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.7 Available on: June 23, 2014, 08:51:29 PM
Probable 'mayday' for Dogecoin.... Dogedice and justdice stopped gambling services due to some problems with canadian law... They are now requesting everyone to withdraw their coins....3% of all coins is there...

The DOGE price is already very low and showing signs of a mild recovery.  Smiley

I haven't noticed any recovery, nor any further drop.
Doge seems to be one of the most stable alts at the moment.

Yep, about as stable as Bitcoin.  I doubt it will go any lower than 50.  It is more likely to recover to 100 within the next couple months.

It feels like dooglus is just confused.  The government is concerned about exchanges where a CAD/BTC exchange would be involved.  They didn't stab their flag into Bitcoin and say "WE DECLARE THIS MONEY AFTER ALL!".
The ones getting effected the most by this would be localbitcoins.com and canadianbitcoins.com (they send cash in the mail, lol) and of course ATMs.  Anything that is an isolated business within Bitcoin and has nothing to do with CAD (Canadian Dollars) would not be affected by this bill.

Cool, I didn't know just-dice ran a bitcoin exchange or ATM.. i thought it was just a gambling site

You guys should be ashamed that you were hiding bitcoin exchanges and ATMs behind a gambling site.  That's playing with fire.

There is no reason why there can't be a string of fast blocks without a change in hash rate.

But the hash rate is obviously going up very rapidly right now.  We weren't just basing this on a string of blocks, but rather the overall chart for this difficulty period.

Diff will go up big time pretty soon and mining will be less profitable too

yep my mining operation did good through its low diff streaks though, so i can't complain.

this could either be luck, or something else...  either way, ive never seen anything like it.
seatbelts please..

I also find it strange that one of the bitcoin developers announced selling a huge stash of their bitcoins over this whole 51% fear.  I can understand why one would do that, but why announce it?  Sounds like a joined effort to spread FUD..

He said he consulted a lawyer and was advised to announce it to prevent any possible liabilities. I'm buying that, it sounds reasonable to me.

Heh, I could see a lawyer saying something like that. But in reality there's no way you could be held liable for something like that. It's like saying I'm going to be selling half my gold because I work at a goldsmith's shop.

either way, I can't think of anything that rips away confidence in Bitcoin more than its own developers starting to split.    the good news is, next estimated difficulty change is 20%, and theres no way most of that is coming from Ghash.  we need large difficulty changes now to diversify the network.. so keep it comin'

my bad.  I thought that it was an extremely redundant statement because wet electronics = always bad.  i didn't understand the tech good enough to realize its actually a break-through advancement.. i had assumed there was some kind of barrier between the electronics and the water

My favorite part of the video: "Should a board ever have to leave the bath, it comes out dry".
Like holy shit, I would certainly hope so!   Roll Eyes
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Theory on Ghash situation. price manipulation. on: June 16, 2014, 11:02:49 PM
i've always thought ghash was a great pool and still is.  the strangest thing about this whole situation is the contradiction between their previous interview (against 51%) and then of course their actions that followed. making me think it was simply some corruption happening deep within management. i probably dont have enough evidence {hence why its a theory} but the biggest clue is the btc price. when they passed 50% there was a large drop and then it seemed there was a very large amount of bidding and bullish movement right before they pulled a portion of their hash power out of the pool. if this was simple price manipulation it was a great move but you would think it would damage their business more than anything, which is why i think it was out of the interest of a single or small handful of individuals with ulterior motives and of course going against what the public wanted them to do (keeping the network decentralized). in the end i applaud ghash because it could possibly give the dev team a reality check while its still early in the game. keeps them on their feet.  thoughts?

profit in the last year is 42% apparently.  Even that seems too risky.. not because dooglus would run off, but I would be most worried about someone getting access to that cold wallet.  especially if they know who his wife is. some kind of extortion or ransom wouldn't be too far fetched.  gangs and criminal organizations have taken more extreme measures for a lot less
