Are you suggesting we pay the developers less? Because that's why the IQ team was assigned a portion of the tokens - as a reward for the work they're doing for the project.

28 million tokens are reserved for that purpose. The IQ employees were assigned those tokens, but the tokens are on hold - they will be released gradually as the new OTN products come out. We can't (nor do we want to!) take back the tokens that were already assigned to those deserving employees.

I think the misconception here is that some people think 28 million are just a way to enrich the IQ staff. It's basically just a payment for their work. Not a free bonus. And them getting their payment is not taking away from what the market is getting.

First of all, people paying the commission with OTN tokens is not a "problem", it's a purpose this token serves and it's one that drives its value.

Apparently, you're taking the circulating supply published by CoinMarketCap. Their formula does not do justice to the one OTN uses. According to the Whitepaper and the section discussing token distribution we highlight the following:

• 28,000,000 OTN tokens are to be given to IQ Option team and shareholders.
• Additional 51,000,000 OTN tokens are available only for planned purposes – 30 mil. tokens are owned by The Open Trading Network Foundation, 16 mil. tokens will be distributed over a 2 years period (every quarter 2 million tokens) as a bonus to token holders, 5 mil. tokens are reserved to OTN.Wallet users to motivate them.

Therefore, Circulation Supply = TOTAL SUPPLY - 51,000,000 => 81,038,759 - 50,000,000 = 30,038,759

That being said, IQ Option staff were issued those tokens, but those are currently on HOLD.
The reason? The OTN tokens are a reward for their job for OTN and the job is far from being done. The tokens will be released gradually, as new products and updates come out.

Even if it comes down to IQ Option staffers holding the majority of OTN tokens, it’s still completely fair as they did not get those for free, but in exchange for tremendous contributions to the Network. They deserve those OTN no less than the people who mined or traded for theirs. OTN tokens will be available for purchase on the prestigious IQoption with a best mining system.....you only pay 10% commission and get OTN and when and if you can reach 10 token maybe after long time if not get error you can send to your best exchange......where in few day you see the price go down from 10$ to 3$ because you small trader pay absurd commission and when the price reach 15/20$ jump in the market again million token from where...we don't know.

Im sorry to say that but many good projects are done by 1-10 ppl and OTN say they have +550
And they give PR job on their topic in one of the most readed forums to some unqualified person who cannot simply answer for many questions and just pushing YOU to hold tokens coz better times would come and showing some photos and movies directed how happy team they have.
If you were dealing with them you would find out that they are nice only at the beginning but if you would ask more specific questions they become very quickly very rude.
