I know only one exchanger on localbitcoin. But other than that I have no idea. I am thinking about BTC to EUR for now so that currency exchange would be more on our end.

I had 400 USD LR which I got from the Mayzus forex and felt very bad  when LR went down.

At the rate of anything above 58 would have been good for me overall.
4  Local / India / Re: What could be the trigger to push BTC above US $500? on: June 21, 2013, 01:51:29 PM
The problem with indian govt and RBI approaching bitcoin is like rich people using it as a way to avoid tax. Well they can do that directly by bribing, i don't see this happening for terrorism. In fact why would anyone use bitcoin when they can use cash in small chunks like say below 1 lakh per account and then rotating it for that use. it is not hard for them to do such as many brokers and real estate agents use such strategies for years.

I doubt it would be close to 400$. I guess it requires a lot of time and for 500 bucks though, not by small margin that amount is easy to get.

1. Easy withdrawal to local banks or cheque (which is quite less these days)

2. Less popularity of other payment processor and their resident currency system like perfect money etc. Less usage of these will increase number of people coming to the bitcoin.

I wonder if ICICI bank has the purpose code document that can be signed for once.  I want to clear it from that end in order to make things easy.

Yes, payment purpose is one thing that needs to be solved there. I am not sure if the process is one time or the recurring.

Well you can send payment to other indian users, they allow that. There are some limits also, you need to check in your account and yeah i remember now, if you want to add your bank account, first set INR as your main currency. They will deposit verification money in INR

In India, the withdrawal of money from Moneybookers is possible in the form of cheque request only.

http://finance.ilikeit.asia/moneybookers-money-transfer-india/

Not sure if it is a vetted article, but it sounds about right. RBI regulation in India does not allow any non banking entity to offer P2P facilities. This would make moneybookers void of this regulation if they do support bank transfers directly.
PayPal of course is an exception. And they have restrictions galore.
That is why after they offer a cheque. It is because they cannot get a banking partner in India. If they could, Bitcoin would have had a booming cash transfer market in place already.

That article is very old (2010), you can withdraw funds to bank without any probem.
So you meant to say we can do moneybookers exchange to bank, at specified price in the withdraw page?

check exchangemoneyforum.com and contact bhanu545 or rishabhmehra.

Thanks, I will keep this in bookmark.

I have verified my address and some of the limit is lifted. I can send 2Lakh every 90 days which is huge for me on moneybookers.

So right now I am looking for anyone from india to exchange INR via NEFT to sell my moneybookers.
11  Local / India / Re: Liberty Reserve Shut down on: June 16, 2013, 08:26:57 PM
I wonder how much can we withdraw to the bank? I do see the minimum bank transfer charges there but the USD transfer is quite hard to see there.
12  Local / India / Re: Liberty Reserve Shut down on: June 16, 2013, 05:26:49 PM
I just checked the bank withdrawal charges for moneybookers, they seem to be charging 139 RS per bank withdrawal via SWIFT. Not sure if the charges add up depending on amount or is it fixed charge.
13  Local / India / Re: Liberty Reserve Shut down on: June 16, 2013, 05:14:31 PM
so is it  not possible to use an exchanger for the moneybooker? I mean if we get moneybooker money to someone to exchange for INR NEFT. Is it not another better idea? I guess, it is possible.

Sorry the dormant fees applies to the accounts that has no transactions for 18 months.
15  Local / India / Re: Liberty Reserve Shut down on: June 16, 2013, 02:44:50 PM
Thanks, perfectmoney looks better alternative. I can't say anything about skrill because they are now charging yearly fees.
16  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: PRISM - The Indian Perspective on American NSA's new policy on: June 16, 2013, 12:57:32 PM
Dominos, pizza hut and few other food chains are already collecting food preference as per mobile number and address. So this sort of stuff though looks good but is annoying. e.g. if you buy X product like hair dryer from flipkart, then they will send you monthly emails about hair dryers and other products in same category. I don't understand why this sort of tracking has to be dumbed down. I mean just because i purchased one prodcut this week doesn't mean you should send me same product news every week.

Such data in the hands of government and the corporate companies is quite dangerous.

I am not sure if webmoney has any exchangers for india. That would be another thing to see.

edit: just realized you have one link to exchanger in footer.
18  Local / Mining (India) / Re: Mining Pool for India on: June 16, 2013, 11:41:27 AM
I tried bitcoinplus pool and installed their code on blog too. I think such website based java applets dont earn much. So thinking about if any mining pool has portable application.

I have lost more than 100 USD in LR. I know that there are many other indians who lost more. I am moving towards Payza and BTC now.
