Thanks HeroC!

Ignoring boards is really helpful! With ignore and watch tags I hope to get the most of this forum.

franky1, you are really not helping!!!

As I said there's some keywords that I can use but after tried it I'm still getting to much noise. How do others go about finding the insightful writings here?

Another thing, if my topic is in the wrong section why cant it be moved to the right section? I didn't see a feature request section.

Hi,

Any recommendations on how to filter out topics of little interest interest in this forum? The "show unread posts since last visit" gives too much noise, has topics in foreign languages, non alt currency related topics, and general crap that is just clogging up this forum.

I'm watching a few topics but want to find an efficient method of finding the new topics that have value. I thought about saving and using a set of search keywords each time I logon but the search seem only to be a word matching, nowhere near a google search, or any search engine for that matter.

In other words, how do you get the most of this forum?

Cheers!

Nice graph but are you serious!!! Look at what happen to gold this year, do you remember people preaching it it would hit $2000, $5000. Bitcoin is not gold I know but nothing goes straight up. I would be happy if stays at 100, or 130 as today. Maybe then serious investors will get interested.

I messaged the organizer asking for info, details on price etc. Think its a good initiative and would like to see it happen but also noticed the empty twitter, missing linkedin so it seems rather halfhearted.

Will post when/if I get a reply.

Well, I obviously googled first but browsing through the search results I could only find a shop selling collectibles, action figures, memorabilia computer games etc. The shop also also did haircuts I think although I would wonder how my hair would look after. Maybe even worse than the time I went for the cheapest haircut in Bali on a massive hangover. Back to shops accepting bitcoins, I was looking for a directory not as general as google to pay for my petrol, have a coffee, like normal things ordinary people spend money not a underground hobby store.

I guess I just have to keep my eyes open and look at shop windows for the bitcoin sticker on my next walk. If only I wasn't so busy rushing to work, meeting etc.

13  Other / Beginners & Help / Where I can use bitcoins? on: June 23, 2013, 11:13:11 AM
So, I have been following bitcoins for a while through news, forums etc and I even have a few bitcoins that a purchased (just for fun with disposable money as I'm not convinced on the whole thing)

The questions is where can I use them? I hear about a pub in London accepting them, and a cafees in Silicon Valley and only wish I could find something like that where I live.

Is there a site which allows me to search for places that accept bitboind (or alt currencies) based on location. I've heard about a site like this before but cant remember the name.
