3  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Storiqa (STQ) possible scam! on: February 01, 2018, 01:08:12 AM

I think I did not understand ... Is the company by demanding KYC a SCAM?! Funny

If I sold you my car, then after you handed me the money, I told you that I also needed proof that you've never broken a law and if you didn't provide the proof I would keep your money and the car ----> would that be scammy?

Giving unregulated entities, from countries that are demonstrably known for identity theft, your sensitive personal information is fucking stupid ---> period.  No matter what fucking planet you came from!  Would you also suggest giving the Nigerian princes you find in your email spam folder your sensitive personal information?

This comparison makes no sense.

My point of view is: A serious company, which intends to act as a large company, must necessarily at some point demonstrate the origin of the resources for legal purposes in their country .... We are talking about COMPANY and this in no way can be 100% anonymous.

When we invest in an ICO, we are becoming more than shareholders because we are founding the company's capital.

Another point is: If the company is a fraud, why the hell would KYC require it? If I were a fraud, by now I'd be on some island with all the money.

Next time, if you do not want to present your confidential documents, buy the tokens on the market and forget the ICO.

I feel so scammed, they released 99,983,677 CRPT and no words about during the ICO hard cap.

it was a hell of a damn thing to increase the coin supply. Regardless of anything, the market will price in half quade token. We were deceived!

while CRPT drops dramatically the ETH rises violently. Is life...

I'm following the ICO of Crypterium and now following her collapse in the coinmarketcap. The main point is to take into consideration that the idea of bank, goes primarily against the fundamentals of any crypto. It is very ambiguous to believe in crypto-coins in your concept and also to believe in the idea of putting them in a kind of bank, when the original idea is of you being your own bank and thus having independence of intermediaries.

I think even at the speculative level, that currency is good for doing some trades and such, but I do not believe in the essence of this project, at least for an hour, related to cryptobank. I am a disciple of Satoshi and in his paper, this idea goes completely against.

As it goes on IDEX, I will certainly buy below ICO's value ... ho ho ho ho;)

Hey guys... i need a Help! Huh Undecided

I downloaded the Stronghands wallet yesterday on my windows 10 (64bit) and am having some problems:

When installing and configuring its access to the block network, it started well (very slowly) but progressively the percentage was increased until set 108287 and 683 days of the network were still missing. It stopped there since yesterday and until now it is frozen in that number.

I have already restarted my internet and changed the ip but until now no ... it is reading as if it were processing the Stronghands Network but it does not leave that number.

What could I do to solve this? Thanks in advance

Check if you have enough disk space on your primary disk (usually C:)

Thanks for answering!

My hd has available space yes but the loaded blocks still stand at 108287 even connected to the network. I am worried that I have made a transfer to this wallet and must complete the reading in order to see my balance.

Any other ideas of what I can do?

Fact 1 - When looking at investor arguments, it seems that it was invested in Hackone and not in Electroneum.

Fact 2 - The idea is romantic but the application is complicated by incompetent people. You can not believe anything that was promised.

The smell of SCAM only increases

Too distressing this delay = /

I convinced some friends to enter into ETN and now it's there ... at most it will one day make available what we bought ... This is wrong

My grandmother already said: What starts wrong, can not finish right

Why are ye moaning??? They've had problems and they are making them right. They have kept us updated on this the whole way. Stop your whining and negativity.

^^ Comes to a thread called 'is Electroneum a SCAM', complains that people are calling it a scam. Just, wow.
It's a question.
Is ETN a scam?
Answer: NO, I don't think it's a scam.
Why: It's a UK based company, they welcome everyone to their headquarters to see how they're working their butts off to get the failed launch going asap. You can find youtube videos of several people who actually went there. They've hired one of the best internet security companies in the world to do a full scan and if necessary fixes. They're actively updating on social media, they're not trying to hide from us. These are all very positive signs!

So YES, under-prepared 1st launch.
But NO, not a scam.

Like all ICO's, you can win or lose money if you've invested here.
To me it feels like there are loads of people for whom this was their first ICO, and they thought this would go 10x - 50x within days and now feel angry or disappointed that they're not rich yet. But that doesn't mean that they won't get their ETN's within a few weeks.. and from there it's game on, good luck everyone..

You do not have to do much research on google to know that the united kingdom has become the home of HYIP's and scam sites.

But this is not the point, the point is that the project has a good idea? No doubt! However, no one sees anything beyond the idea plan and mining simulations completely challenging the blockchain network.

I do not think 100% is a premeditated SCAM. I think it was thought idealistically and very poorly executed. The guys were not able to keep their account safe on the first day! This is very bizarre for anyone who wants to revolutionize the art of mining! Everyone today has doubts if they have the least capacity to execute a minimum percentage of the original idea.... let's be realistic!

I think they are not sure what to do ... they are lost and when this happens with 55 million dollars (current btc), I think that already must be rethought the plan, at least in the minds of some. I've seen this happen in some ICOs ...

I perfectly understand the affliction who invested their savings in this section many of them driven by the great pressure of digital media via youtubers ... I am sorry but I see no future in the execution although the idea is interesting and challenging... not for those rich jumbled guys!

Mining involves millions of mathematical calculations for decoding resolution in order to authenticate a given transaction. Mining is not a joke and can not simulate,
I get all that. Its basically a game that can be played and you earn coins for doing so.

The point is: As someone who has not been able to simply start the tokens to whom he invested, guaranteeing the security of the account after the ICO, do you want to bring innovations in the art of mining?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Electroneum a SCAM??? on: November 23, 2017, 08:56:11 PM
You simulate mining with the app and you earn coins for running the simulation or playing the game on the app. You can then transfer ETN from the app on one phone to the app on another phone (kids are going to love this app and it gets them interested in crypto currency) I'm not sure of the exact details as I know nothing about mining myself.  This has the potential to be huge in my opinion if the app goes viral.

I know a little bit about mining and from what you told me, it's all a big hoax.

Mining involves millions of mathematical calculations for decoding resolution in order to authenticate a given transaction. Mining is not a joke and can not simulate, also because it is necessary to respect the currency conversion level ... that is, it is not simply a number played.

You see, I sincerely believe that's not what you said because it would be too naive to believe in such a madness, but one thing really worried me: As a person, I say the CEO, was not able to secure the tokens of ICO, come talk about innovating in mining? Think about...
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Electroneum a SCAM??? on: November 23, 2017, 08:33:00 PM
mining sucks lots of electricity so i wonder how battery can stand it.

Its not actual mining its a mining simulation app. They tested it on three phones in one of their videos and left running in the background it barely used any battery at all on its own.

mining simulation? What the hell is this? How to simulate a coin that pretends to have a value ?!

Wow...
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Electroneum a SCAM??? on: November 23, 2017, 07:57:15 PM
I have some considerations for this project. I am too far away to be an expert on crypto coins. I have just started trading it recently (Used to trade on Forex for years). All the markets are based on supply VS demand. After days reading and re-reading posts, infos and as much as I can of important infos about ETN, I have concluded that:

1 - If ETN was a SCAM, I am pretty sure they would have not stopped the ICON at 40m and would have raised more and more money and disappear after that.
2 - Instead of disappear, they are trying to get better systems for us (Monero news) and they keep in touch with everyone via email, social media, groups, etc.
3 - NONE can predict a price. That's impossible. It's up, as I said above, to the demand.
4 - It's a real fact that crypto world is still very young and a small number of people know how to walk into it. Ok, a few people knows about the existence of crypto, but most of them don't have a clue how to buy, how to use, for what does it serves, etc. ETN is looking to the masses, if they get sucess on this, the demand will be definitely HUGE.
5 - It doesn't really MATTER if it will dump at the first days, months or years, If they get success introducing the masses to it, it will grow up organically. So HODL!
6 - I have seen a LOT of people crying around groups for not buying enough coins, they are really sorry for it.
7 - About dumping it: If I bought at 0.01, WHY THE HELL I would sell for less than that? Dont make sense! If people sell their bonusses for 0.01.. I am sorry for them... it will grow later and they will cry again.

I believe in the ETN purpose, I see their vision for the future. I am in this project for at least 5 years (Unless It reaches a good price before that).

Are you kidding? I doubt that you would invest today knowing that it would be this dark chaos

Not even in the nightmare would I imagine getting my investment supposedly locked up ... that's a great absurdity! A serious company would never make such a disgrace with its initial investor.

You do not think it's a SCAM because you're hoping to have your investment back ... I want your hope to come true, but at the present time, it's hard to believe it.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Electroneum a SCAM??? on: November 23, 2017, 07:44:13 PM
Can anyone tell me what really concrete there is about Electroneum (taking away the mediatic appeal and the fireworks)?

Today I only see locked money, ICO irresponsible for lack of technical knowledge and no practical application (not even prototype).

All this together leads me to believe that this is nothing more than a scam.
