Forgive me the silly question, but is there a shiny new windows wallet yet?

Is the Xapo Debit Card useable in stores? It says "Electronic use only" on the back, but I was able to withdraw money from an ATM, so... yeah. I'm not sure anymore.

Leuke dienst weer!

Pay your bills with Megacoin, safe, quick and simple.

Dutch service offers a great and very practical way for you to put your Megacoins (or other coins) to good use.

Hopefully they'll be extending their services internationally soon.[edit] And they did. Link is now to the English version! This service can be used in all SEPA countries  Smiley

Okay, well, if it's over 48 hours then create a ticket at GM because that's a bit long. But chances are, if your contract is approved, that you will receive payment at next payout. Only exception is when you ordered via credit card because then you will have to wait until the payouts are released after a month or so.

Well its been well over 48 hrs since got the contract and got 0 so far ??
Did you bother to check the FAQ? You can find answers under "When do I get my payout"
15  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Megamine.com - A new, 100% hydro powered, UK based bitcoin mining service on: February 18, 2015, 09:05:49 PM
...But I'm always wondering why this thread is so silent...
I blame the need to have my dentist sign a copy of my ID and power bill before I get any payout. I can't imagine any international law demanding such amazingly ridiculous measures for something as silly as Bitcoin mining, so I'll pass.

Well, it depends on personal insight. For those looking for unbelievable good ROI in no time (I mean those still living in 2013) I wouldn't say it's a good investment. But there's ponzi like companies out there for those willing to take the risk for quick profit.

Long term I'd say it's a good thing. Bitcoin is far from being dead, there's more possibilities every day, and the difficulty growth is slowing. Hardware manufacturers should be careful about what they do as history has proven that mindlessly adding massive amounts of power can be disastrous for both difficulty and coin value and leads to dropping sales. Which means the arms race will probably move towards efficiency. Building 250W 0.8THs miners instead of 1200W 2.5THs versions. I'm sure they will sell more of those efficient machines then of the biggies, so the investment for the manufacturer is a lot less risky. There is a market for big ass miners, but the number of customers capable of buying, running and maintaining those is a lot smaller. If only one or two of those big customers don't buy a load then the impact on sales is quite big already.

So, I'm with Marco Streng when he said you better be mining already for when Bitcoin goes up, because the demand for hashrate at such times will spike. If you have to buy in at that point it will be costly. So, long term thinking, I keep expanding my hashrate slowly. Yes, the value of the mined coins may be less, despite adding hashrate, but hey, that's short term thinking again.
Let's see where this leads to 6 months from now, or 12 months, or 24. Might end up at the bottom, but that's where I came from originally, so can't get worse. Lots to gain, nothing to lose Wink

Oh, to those mining UNO (yes, me included), buckle up Cheesy

pay as little as possible per GH and stay focused on the very very very shortest possible ROI term? That's exactly what is killing the industry right now. Loads of people pulling as much money out of the crypto coins without putting anything in. Doesn't take much of a brain to realize such a situation can only head towards the bottom. Short term ROI for mining is dead and people who are still chasing that are filling page after page with whining and yelling scam and ponzi.
19  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] .0018 BTC per GH/s - 12 month contract **www.BitcoinCloudServices.com** on: January 25, 2015, 01:05:00 PM
Ah, so, if a company has miners today, they are forbidden to replace them with newer, bigger, better, more energy efficient miners tomorrow, because there are specific contracts tied to specific hashrate of specific machines? Must be a real bummer if your miner goes down then because you wont receive any mining coins then. I wish somebody would invent cloud mining then, where all sold hashrate is tied to an equivalent number of miners (preferably with some spares running on the side) and people are paid out their share of the total, so it does not matter if one machine fails, or is replaced by a newer one Wink

4 MHs doesn't get you anything of value anywhere. But fine, nobody is forcing anybody to buy hashrate. And if you want to gamble (and you do, otherwise you would never have gotten involved in anything as risky as crypto currency anyway) then buy some Bitcoin now and wait with investing until value has gone up to $300 or more. Might be a damn long wait, but who knows Cheesy
