1  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin better than stocks, real-estate? on: December 05, 2017, 05:27:37 PM
In the traditional investment systems  there are areas like stock exchange, real estates, commodity market, forex market. Then there are hedge funds, mutual funds, equity, debentures. Next in line are precious metals like Gold, silver, diamond. Years after year and decades after decades when mainstream economics was convincing people that how one of above is better than other as it is giving returns in the range of 8% to 9% at max 10-13% a new revolution named bitcoin is rising and spreading across the world. Bitcoin has defied all conventional knowledge about return on interest. Surviving each negative publicity and doubts, incidents like mt. gox and still growing better than ever.

What do you think why bitcoin is the best investment than stocks, real-estate, gold or any other conventional investment?

You anwered your question youeself. BTC&Crypto have big advantage: its dynamic and volatility. For me, it is a plus. But for some investors, it is bad. For example, imagine, you have a business. You worked hard for a long time and now your goal is to save your capital. Would you invest in crypto?

2  Economy / Economics / Re: Are electric cars bad for the oil industry? on: December 05, 2017, 02:51:11 PM
Title.

So. Electric cars are gaining in popularity, therefore the popularity of gasoline will be going down. Won't the price go down, leaving the oil industry in trouble?

Oil itself isn't endless too. Popularity of electric cars is not so high now to make oil price go down significantly. What really affect on the price is ability of US private companies to get oil. They become good competitor to Saudi, Russia and other sellers. So I bet the price for oil is between 40 and 60 $.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: huge crypto market correction incoming on: December 05, 2017, 02:37:45 PM
Does this current bullish cycle not worry anyone?
Most people that know how markets work know that healthy markets need to correct to continue growing.
The current bullish cycle is larger than the first and second one, where we saw some nasty corrections, meaning things could get real dirty, real soon.
Market cap has increased from $250B to $310B within 7 days.
I want to know what people think.

Man, I comletely agree with you! You are absolutely right. That growth that we see now is not healthy. It is something outstanding. Unnatural. It is all because of that awful histeria from massmedia. Correction must occur!
4  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Possible to buy BTC for large sums of cash cash in NYC? on: November 19, 2017, 02:31:20 PM
It is possible to do that in almost every counthy where cryptocurrency is not strickly prohibited. In such a huge megapolis like NYC you will find seller. But you should make some precautions, you are going to operate with cash and have a deal with stranger.
Good luck)
5  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I am Buying BTC Futures, Shorting BCH on: November 19, 2017, 02:18:18 PM
Disclaimer: I don't know what subtopic this should go under, so if you happen to know, please let me know as well.

I personally am bullish on BTC and bearish on BCH. If you are not, welcome: I have a proposition for you. I would like to purchase the right to purchase 1 BTC (core) for 8500 Tether (USDT) at any time within a year of the agreement of this deal. In return for this right, I will pay you a premium of 0.1 BCH. If you agree to the terms, can prove ownership of 1 BTC, and pass my sniff test, I will send you 0.1 BCH. If/when I choose to purchase your BTC, we can use an agreed-upon escrow. Therefore, there is no risk on your part.

A diagram:

Note: All numbers are scalable and negotiable to some degree.

Please reply if interested.

You want to buy 1 BTC for 8500 usdt within 1 year?)) Not bad, man! One year, man! Terms that you suggest are not market. Too beneficial for you) But good luck if you find anybody who would agree.

Bitcoin is for the community, who gets raped by bank fees.

Their KYC and AML procedures are also really annoying. So it is good idea to leave all that 3rd parties aside Smiley
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investing all my savings! on: November 19, 2017, 07:14:18 AM
Hello guys! I am planning on investing all my savings (12500$) in cryptocurrency, so I would really like to hear your opinion. My current plan is to split it in to 3 :
-50% bitcoin.
-25% ethereum.
-25% litecoin.

I am investing the money at the next dip.
Please post your opinion guys.

Edit: I should mention that this is for a longtherm hold, about 5-10 years

Sorry for my bad english, but I am better reading it than writing it.. :p

Hey man, investing all your savings in crypto is a risky thing. But! It really depends on your approach. What is your goal?
1. Do you want to make an extra profit while you understand that you also can lose everythung?
2. Or you want to save your capital and if possible to make it bigger or at least to protect agains inflation?
3. Or any goal that is between previous two?

So investing all your savings in crypto is #1. Determine what you want and then act in proper way.
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading sucks, I'll just hold my coins on: November 19, 2017, 06:58:01 AM
Yesterday I just lost 1.8k USD, maybe in USA or in West Europe that's doesn't much, but here in my shitty country that's a f* big amount of money. Here the minimum wage is ~ 300 USD / month. So that's like 6 month of work if I cut my bread and water and live on air. Half of my saving were other investments, but anyways... I'm feeling shitty right now. Oh, and I break my laptop. So yeah, that's another - 500 usd.

I though I can trade. Buy low, sell high. Sounds good, doesn't work.
Well, it actually  works. Is all simple as really sounds. But you have to remember:
1) Ignore what other traders say. Some of them just made 200%/day, 20000%/day, 200000fckyou000%/day. You should not care, this is not a competition, they aren't enemies, and their numbers almost always are just fake. Do your 10%/month and everything still will be fine.
2) Don't buy shit. Even if you see some great pump, shit is always shit. This is related to almost 1000+ coins and, the hell, 99% tokens. Yes, this takes time to differentiate them, but without that skill you will be screwed as HODLer too.
3) Sell, the fck, higher than you buy. Don't ever think like: okay, I lost 90% on this coin, but I really need my money in BTC right now to buy another one with great potential, so I sell that one now. That is doomed. That is only one real way to lose everything.
4) Fck all technical analysis bullshit: indexes, waves, some wired triangles, lines, on price chats... this simply does not work. This never works. Save more time for part 2)
5) Don't be so fast. Just imagine: you done 10x this month, you done 10x next month, and finally 10x another month. Now you moved from poor to very rich and you even don't know how to live being rich. You will be afraid of it, you afraid of it now. And hence you will lose money. Not actually YOU but some parts of your brain.

So... That's all really what I call "buy low, sell high".

Hey, the tutorial is just cool! That list should be shown to all beginners in crypto/trading world.
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My Own Private Portfolio on: November 19, 2017, 06:46:22 AM
What do you think about OmiseGo? Their product seems to be really perspective on the market of Asia, where bank service is reaaly bad.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Yes or No? Doesn't Bitcoin unfairly benefit early adopters? on: November 19, 2017, 06:36:00 AM
Unfairly... I think this term doesn't fit in that situation.
The situation with early adopters and super growth that bitcoin demonstrated us is just reality. No matter if somebody bought bitcoins in 2010-2011 because of belief in the technology, or somebody bought because he or she saw bitcoin as a cool speculation tool, or somybody bought just for fun and forget about it for 5 years. It just fact that they bought.
So my congratulations to that early adopters.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: November 19, 2017, 06:21:07 AM
Coinbase CEO believes bitcoin will replace dollar within 15 years.

Read the following news:
http://cointelegraph.com/news/114983/coinbase-ceo-bitcoin-will-replace-dollar-within-15-years

Do you think it will be true? Are you positive towards bitcoin's future status?
No, I dont believe in that. Bitcoin will never replace dollar, I think. Any national cryptocurrancies - may be, bitcoin - no. Bitcoin is a bubble, and can be easily manipulated.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Roger Ver go to jail again? on: November 18, 2017, 08:01:37 AM
There is nothing illegal. I think he and all of us can do whatever we want. It is cryptoworld, by the way!
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I hope 2018 will be an awesome year for cryptoworld and especially BTC !! on: November 18, 2017, 07:55:05 AM
I hope 2018 will be an awesome year for cryptoworld and especially BTC !! BTC should be over 15,000 $ next year  Smiley

14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people sell bitcoins? on: November 18, 2017, 07:47:58 AM
Some people sell because they understand that growth can't be endless. They want to fix thier profit. And that is smart decision. Can anybody tell me why bitcoin will grow futher? Any reason except for speculation?
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am i too late on: November 18, 2017, 07:30:28 AM
Well, you might feel that since Bitcoin has surpassed $6K level, you are late but as far as I believe, I think everyone who is buying Bitcoin below $10K is an early adopter. I am considering Bitcoin as an investment for at least next 10 years and thus at this point, there is still opportunity for anyone who is willing to enter in Bitcoin. However, please do your own research before making any investment decision.

So what the price is going to be in 2-3 years? If those who buy bitcoin below 10k are early adopters, you bet bitcoin is 100k+ or even higher? Why will it be so expensive?

I think, all that growth that we see now is because of the hype. All that mass media, usual people who didnt care about investments before get to know about that extra growth and so on. Stories about pizza for 10k bitcoins and 7k for 1 bitcoin today.

The next step may be is appearing of institutional investors in crypto world. One more hype may be. But finally I dont see any big reason for 20k+. It totally depends on speculation. Actually price can be 100K in 2 years or 2K. Who knows.
