A lotto would be interesting... Maybe 760 tickets @ 0.1 BTC each?

lol.. that's a bit much. I was thinking 77 tickets at 1 btc each.

I need to sell this miner, I need money really really badly.

How can we make this work?

Ordered March 25th order # 6xxx

How much do you want for it?

I'm asking for 77 BTC which is less then .5 BTC over what I paid for it.

are you selling the miner or the pre-order? I assume pre-order since they havent shipped batch #3 yet

Yes its the preorder, I'm willing to hand over the sign in info to the support and store of Avalon. I asked for a refund once I read that they were available but have been ignored.

11  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] In hand/Soon shipping ASICs on: June 29, 2013, 05:45:38 PM
Looking to buy in hand ASICs or ASICs that are shipping very soon.  I'm hoping somebody has some miners for sale that are lower cost/lower hashrate as I don't have tens of thousands of dollars.  Jalapenos are wonderful.

I have a third batch Avalon 3 module that I'm trying to get a refund for, if your interested I'll sell it at the 77 BTC price I paid, but as I need money now I cant wait for the unit to arrive, I may be able to change the shipping address though.

12  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon orders - batch #3 refund requests thread on: June 29, 2013, 02:30:45 PM
This really sucks, I don't want a refund at the same time I would get the miner. Is anyone on this thread close to yifu? If so maybe you can point him to this thread so some actions could be taken to insure that we get a refund in short order.
13  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon orders - batch #3 refund requests thread on: June 29, 2013, 01:37:09 AM
I think I've reached the limits of my current power setup with these Amp vampires so I am tempted to sell my batch 3 unit. Anyone here in Canada that may want to take over my spot. If you can offer me a little bit over the pre-order price I'd be happy.

@ ILikeToMine

I though they would not allow changing the address on a pre-order. You mean you changed the address on the entire store account, not just on one specific order, right?

Yes I was able to change the address in the store for my account which includes the shipping address.
14  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: {WTS} my account with avalon and my batch 3 miner on: June 28, 2013, 02:17:16 AM
Yeah, the inability to not be able to change the email address is what will turn most people away I think. Simply because of the fact that you would have the ability to request a reset password later down the road.

Honestly, if you are truly in need of the $7,000 or so, I would look at putting the unit in escrow with a "no backing out" clause and then applying for a small bank loan. Yes, you may have to pay interest on the loan for a few months until you receive the BTC, but remember, you are still making a good return on your initial investment of what the unit was worth comparative to USD when you bought it.

That is honestly what I would do as it protects the buyer, and the "no backing out" clause protects you. Additionally, if a buyer didn't want to agree to the clause, then just have him put a small deposit in escrow prior to, or included with the full amount and use this small amount as a penalty fee if he backs out.

Thanks Scout, I'll be looking into some options tomorrow and hopefully I wont need the refund or to sell it.

Fingers crossed!

Should be in gambling.

Thanks, now if only a mod can move it for us.
16  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon orders - batch #3 refund requests thread on: June 28, 2013, 02:14:46 AM
I would probably take another unit or 2 if the order can be changed so the Avalon is sent directly.

I don't believe were allowed to change the shipping address, although there is an option in the store to change the shipping address. I wonder if they already have the addresses put aside or if they ship to the address in the store.

It sure would be nice if yifu looked at this thread and let us know.

I successfully updated my shipping address a few days ago, I've moved house.

Change your address on your account and send them a ticket to confirm Wink

Thanks for the info. I figured as much and this might come in handy seeing that I may sell the machine.
17  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: {WTS} my account with avalon and my batch 3 miner on: June 27, 2013, 08:39:57 PM
Ok, that's pretty much escrow!

However, there is always the issue of you contacting Avalon and claiming that your account was hacked into. Is there any documentation or confirmation that they will honor an address change or the release of your account to another party? If not, I would contact Avalon and ask them to give you clarification. I would also allow John K to take full ownership over the account after he has received the full payment. That would eliminate any possibility of you changing the login info right after you recieve the BTC(I'm not claiming you would do that). This would just ensure everything is controlled by the escrow.

Well I'e been trying to get in touch with bitsyncom here on the forums, I think that's yifu, but he has not replied to me, and if he does I'm going to ask for my refund as that would be the easiest way to proceed.

I'm looking for money now so I'm not about to wait for the unit to arrive to have the coins, They would have to be sent over as soon as johnK or another escrow verifies that all is good.

I'm not looking to screw anyone, I'd be willing to sign any paper or thread stating that I'm selling the account and what not, I know for a fact you can change the password and shipping addresses but can NOT change the e-mail, which sucks.

Any recommendations?
18  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: {WTS} my account with avalon and my batch 3 miner on: June 27, 2013, 08:26:55 PM
So, you want someone to send you over $7,000 worth of BTC on your word that you'll surrender your Avalon login/password?

No, Im willing to send the login info to a trusted member of the forums, like JohnK Escrow, once he checks  out the info and can verify that all is good then I expect the 77 BTC and once I get the BTC I'll go ahead and give the trusted member/John the Ok to give out the login info.

You asked for a refund, but are now selling it, and doing a raffle?

And what if someone buys it?

a. The raffle peeps are screwed

And if the refund suddenly comes through?

b. Everyone is screwed

Sign me up!

No man, If the refund comes through, which looks like it wont then any money for the raffle will be returned, if its sells to someone on here then the raffle money will be returned and the refund ticket will be closed.

Is escrow available on this unit?

Not really, as I am trying to get a refund from Avalon on it as well, and I should be able to get one, its just taking longer then expected. That's why I'm trying to sell it too.
