Is there still a whitelist for pools?
Yes, we still have white lists. But we will resolve this problems soon.

GPU miner v0.3.0 is released.
https://github.com/jonano614/DaggerGpuMiner/releases/tag/0.3.0

List of changes:
1) new option "-w <WORKER_NAME>" - allows to set names for your rigs. Compatible only with xdag 0.2.5. Do not use this option with pools version 0.2.4 and lower. Miner will be disconnected.
2) miner tries to restart GPUs in case of errors.
3) in case of some GPU stopped - miner will not longer constantly print the last known hashrate value.
4) you can configure "-nvidia-fix" parameter now: "-nvidia-fix N", N can an integer from 5 to 95. Default value is 90. This parameter is intended to decrease CPU usage on computers with Nvidia GPUs. If the parameter is specified, logic of miner calculates how much time GPU spends on each range of nonces and switches current thread to the sleeping state for some part of the time. Sleeping for 90% of time could cause decresing of hashrate, so now you can configure the parameter yourself. But the less the time of sleeping - the more CPU useage.
5) new parameter "-vectors" - enables OpenCL vector operations. On some GPUs it can increase performance, on some - decrease.
6) version for Mac OS
7) optional fee 1%. You can disable fee with option "-no-fee"

Hi all!
XDag v0.2.5 is released.

https://github.com/XDagger/xdag/releases/tag/0.2.5
Github: https://github.com/XDagger/xdag

List of changes:
1. Increased performance of loading of storage folder and synchronisation between pools (up to 100%).
2. Worker names. Now it is possible to mark your rigs with names and track them. New version of Dagger Gpu Miner (v0.3.0) supports that feature. See details below
3. Hashrate for miners is calculated by pool
4. It is not necessary to specify pool address to start a wallet. You can start executable file without any parameters and wallet will automatically connect to any available pool.
5. CPU-mining is removed from GUI-wallet.
6. Order of transactions returned by 'block' command is changed. The newest transactions are shown first now
7. New and change pool parameters and command:
  - ‘mainblocks N’ command - returns list of newest main blocks with some additional information
  - ‘minedblocks N’ command - returns list of last main blocks mined by current pool
  - ‘lastblocks’ command is marked as obsolete and will be removed in xdag v0.3.1
  - ‘miner <ADDRESS>’ command - prints detailed information about specified miner
  - ‘-dm’ startup option - makes it possible to disable mining at all on the current pool. Disables generating new blocks each 64 seconds and pool is not available for connections for miners. This option is necessary for block explorer.
8. Several small bug-fixes and improvements

Detailed information about new commands and features:
'mainblocks N' command prints table with some details about last main blocks. N is a count of printed blocks, not limited. Defaul count is 20
Example:
Code:
xdag> mainblocks

'miner' command prints information about address (hash, time when miner with that address was connected to pool, total shares, approximate hashrate for all connections and some metrics for calculating unpaid shares value) and each connection with that address. Each user can mine using several connections with the same address.
Table 'Time intervals' contains information shares sent by miner for last 16 tasks. Each task last for 64 seconds.
current - this interval is current.
index - number of the interval
start time - start time of the interval
difficulty - max difficulty of shares received from miner during this interval (for that task)
reward for block - the most difficult share was received from conection with that address. That share was used for generating a new block. If generated block becomes main - the address receives additional payment (depends on pool configuration).

Approximate hashrate and worker names. Now it is possible to specify worker name in the GPU miner and use it to track your statistics.
Example:
Code:
xdag> miners
List of miners:

OK, so I went through the source code and am quite familiar with the core now, did some improvements to the storage and plan to move the core to python. What I am missing here are technical concerns and not MOANING, so please, if you have some (not the local DNET stuff which ca be replaced .... a f. code-monkey project!!!), the floor is yours!
Indeed there is a lot of room for improvement but going through the source code of other "more important" projects such as ETH, I find it unbelievable, the holes that are there to exploit!
What kind of improvement you did to the storage?

I'm still mining xdag, so i consider myself still a part of this open-source project, even if the hierarchy of the 'community' have paranoia issues about losing control.
Nobody controls the coin. There is team of guys who try to support the project and improve it step by step. You just trying to find faults.

Also, with the current algorithm is ASIC mining possibly already being used?
Yes, ASICs are possible, but currently there are no compatible devices.

it's a shitfest mate. I received thousands for doing fuck all in the discord and they hand them out like bon-bons
Just turn left, please.

Can anyone tell me Where can I read new information about the progress of work on the coin XDAG?
there is no progress. Just pump and dump.
You are not right. Development is in progress.

Can anyone tell me Where can I read new information about the progress of work on the coin XDAG?
Version 0.2.5 is in development. Some of upcoming changes:
1) worker names
2) improved perfomance of loading and synchronization for pools
3) wallets do not demand address of pool

I think this is a good idea. But, Can you please give me more details and how does this really work?
Do you mean: "how the coin works"?

they call it a DAG, but branches of the network are pruned in mining due to the incapable transport layer, so it's not really DAG, it's just a standard blockchain made up in a centralized manner and based on a local network transport layer called DNET.
It is not a blockchain. What is your problem?

Hi all!
XDag v0.2.4 is released.

https://github.com/XDagger/xdag/releases/tag/0.2.4
Github: https://github.com/XDagger/xdag

List of changes:
- whitelist is auto-updated from GitHub
- wallet without mining sends only one share per task instead of six
- inactive connections (connections which do not send shares at all) are automatically disconnected after 5 minutes of inactivity
- new command "disconnect": allows pool-owners to manually disconnect some miner
- main network and test network are protected against accidental merging
- command history and auto-completion for Mac and Linux console wallets
- bug with payments to miner which was disconnected long time ago is fixed

Description of "disconnect" command: this command allows to disconnect some or all connections depending on parameters:
disconnect all - disconnects all connections
disconnect ip <IP> - disconnects all connections with specified IP
disconnect address <ADDRESS> - disconnect all connections with specified address

Hi, what is the exact difference between "Earnings" and "Exact balance" ?
Could you please clarify what "Earning" and "Exact balance"? Where did you see it?

the swapping out of DNET?!  Cheesy
I will surprize you. Wallets and miner does not use DNET at all. Just simple sockets...

so it would seem that pool version 0.2.3 is just as shit as the previous versions.

wallets won't connect to pool and miners won't reconnect after rig maintenance.
got to be the worst coin i have ever mined, and the 'development fund' was squandered again this month:

https://xdag.io/2018/05/29/xdag-community-fund-rewards.html

the community who are supposed to be watching the safety of this coin are doing the utmost to fight with each other and bring down pools

if AnotherYou had anything to do with v0.2.3 then i think he should just be told to gtfo

what a shambles. miners are losing money hand over fist mining this shit.
not long till it dies.
Raskul, stop whining. A fix for the problem you described wil be released soon.

For pool owners: configuration for pool was updated. A new parameter "maxconn - maximum allowed number of miners with the same address" was added. Also parameters were reordered
Code:
  -P ip:port:CFG - run the pool, bind to ip:port, CFG is miners:maxip:maxconn:fee:reward:direct:fund
miners - maximum allowed number of miners,
maxip - maximum allowed number of miners connected from single ip,
maxconn - maximum allowed number of miners with the same address,
fee - pool fee in percent,
reward - reward to miner who got a block in percent,
direct - reward to miners participated in earned block in percent,
fund - community fund fee in percent

Example of command line for starting pool (for test net):
Quote
xdag -t -p 213.21.5.18:3366 -P 213.21.5.18:454:1000:100:60:1:1:1:1

Output of miners command was changed. Example:
Code:
xdag> miners
List of miners:
NN  Address for payment to            Status   IP and port            in/out bytes      nopaid shares
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 -1. EacdO89D9vDursfUP4dsPHvHu1mnKdHP  fee      -                      -                 0.000000
  0. XUSGrE0EHNLZ1OMZqv7pvbBa4YRA+zKp  active   -                      -                 34.238053
 C1. -                                 -        127.0.0.1:50013        9568/4800         34.238053
 C2. -                                 -        127.0.0.1:50634        576/96            0.135454

 C1. -                                 -        127.0.0.1:50024        10944/4640        31.848017
  2. qJ4ytVsbjyiuDP57XaLo1ia323XeHFS8  archive  -                      -                 13.180378
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total 2 active miners.
Now all connections with the same address are grouped. Disconnected miners are marked with "archived" state. Archive miners are removed from the list when all shares are payed.
In order to see the list in the old format, you can use command "miners conn"
Code:
xdag> miners conn
List of miners:
NN  Address for payment to            Status   IP and port            in/out bytes      nopaid shares
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  0. XUSGrE0EHNLZ1OMZqv7pvbBa4YRA+zKp  active   127.0.0.1:50013        9600/4800         34.238053
  1. CtuR8NizlQHSb09T8fV3bURYCEmQ/jcN  active   127.0.0.1:50024        10976/4640        31.848017
  2. XUSGrE0EHNLZ1OMZqv7pvbBa4YRA+zKp  active   127.0.0.1:50634        576/96            0.135454
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total 3 active miners.
But this list shows only active connections. The new version no longer has "archive connectios".

Hi all!
XDag v0.2.2 is released.

https://github.com/XDagger/xdag/releases/tag/0.2.2
Github: https://github.com/XDagger/xdag

List of changes:
- transaction address is shown in the console version, you can track the status of your transaction in the block explorer
- new field "State" was added to the output of the "block" command. See description below
- a bug in DNET which could break synchronization between pools is fixed
- a bug in block validation logic which could lead to divergence of balances between pools is fixed
- large changes in the mining:
    - unpaid shares are paid even if miner is disconnected
    - miners who use several rigs with one wallet address recieve only one total payment, not several payments corresponding to the number of connections. It should help to decrease network load
    - restriction on count of connections with the same address was added. This count can be configured, see description below
    - count of shares per task from one connection was restricted to 20, if count of shares exceeds 20 (during one minute) miner is disconnected. It was made with purpose to protect pool againg DDOS and cheating with shares.
    - if you use several connections with the same address you no longer can send the same shares. All shares must be unique
    - output of the miners command was changed. See description below
    - max count of connections was increased to 8192
- small update in the GUI wallet
- draft version of JSON-RPC. Not ready for exchanges now
- some log messages are disabled during loading the storage. It can help to decrease count of disc I/O operations and speed up the loading of storage folder
- DAG takes too much space in the memory. Pools use temporary files for swapping in order to decrease memory usage. A new configuration "-z" was added:
     - -z <path>  - you can set path to temp-file folder
     - -z RAM - use RAM instead of temp-files. It can speed up loading of storage and make the pool faster, but demands large amout of free memory

Transaction address:
After you transfer message you will see message "Transaction address is xxxxxxxxxxxxxx, it will take several minutes to complete the transaction.". Example:
Code:
xdag> xfer 5 EnTkFVTGB+J4oKHHTQIay3Q3Zc1a8s0u
Password:
Xfer: transferred 5.000000000 XDAG to the address EnTkFVTGB+J4oKHHTQIay3Q3Zc1a8s0u.
Transaction address is ksk5SsT5PqLhAwCUhqtBFNPB6WizsDk0, it will take several minutes to complete the transaction.
You can use that address to track your transaction, for example: https://explorer.xdag.io/block/ksk5SsT5PqLhAwCUhqtBFNPB6WizsDk0

Currently you can use field "Flags" to find out state of the transaction (block):
0 - block is just recieved
10 - block is in processing
1c - block is accepted
1F - it is main block
18 - block is rejected. It can be caused by insufficient balance or synchronization problems

New version has a new field "state" with values:
- Pending
- Accepted
- Rejected
- Main
Example:
Code:
xdag> block  gkileoNyIQ+24I82gBKXcsm1wZSKHIVd
      time: 2018-05-18 01:59:27.916
 timestamp: 16bf8253fab
     flags: 0
     state: Pending
  file pos: 200
      hash: 0c93950ebed441c95d851c8a94c1b5c972971280368fe0b60f2172837aa54882
difficulty: 00000001c7a2f05a0
   balance: gkileoNyIQ+24I82gBKXcsm1wZSKHIVd           0.000000000
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                               block as transaction: details
 direction  address                                    amount
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
       fee: NjVnGThQVNPsMnMwgRPTJQWvmsBNSCTB           0.000000000
    output: CtuR8NizlQHSb09T8fV3bURYCEmQ/jcN           0.000000000
     input: CtuR8NizlQHSb09T8fV3bURYCEmQ/jcN       50000.000000000
    output: XUSGrE0EHNLZ1OMZqv7pvbBa4YRA+zKp       50000.000000000
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                                 block as address: details
 direction  transaction                                amount       time
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Existing block explorers can use this field to show the block state.
