3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Avalanche AVAX discussion on: March 01, 2021, 06:07:50 PM
What is your take on Avalanche AVAX? Looks like an interesting project, from my home town, with a lot of potential and possible competition to ETH, ADA, and DOT. However, the rollout of the updates has been slow thus far. Another issue is that it is not listed on major exchanges (at least here in the US). I am curious to see what others think, could be a gem to invest long-term even at the current price.

I believe in DOT and I like to stake it  Grin

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: September 03, 2013, 06:18:10 PM
guys I have missed a week or so of this threat and feel too lazy to go through it.

What is the latest news are they shipping yet?

You totally missed it.. all units shipped. We're on generation 3 now. guess you missed the boat.

First of all I did not miss shit I simply chose not to get 1st gen miner from knc to see if they will deliver on their promises.
Second of all as far as I know they will come up with gen 2 around March next year
Third of all nothing was shipped yet.

I might have considered 2Th for 5K in 12/13
$15K in 12/13 is a joke

Bitfury sucks are you on crack. It will be just as worthless as these units. The only company to order from would be xcrowd who will offer you a gaurantee up to a certain difficulty and provide much more hashing power. Or cointerra which their high hashing power might be a guarantee for delays.

Those are the only logical options. Cointerra seems it will be the winner if they keep their promise of long term mining equipment it means they will offer some serious hashing power for much cheaper which will make other manufacterers cut pricing.

And which will effectively kill avalon and bfls shit businesses.

BS flag

be careful about xcrowd because it may be a scam
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: August 14, 2013, 04:13:45 PM
I am glad that there is an update. knc will try to stick to its targets and I sure hope they will succeed.
However, with the current difficulty increases of 30-35% every 10 days for at least a few months (before the field levels) any hope for profits (even marginal ones) is overoptimistic.

Just amazing...

BTC Difficulty 37,392,768 -> 50,636,479 (35.42%) in 2 hours.   What a huge jump!  I believe this is a record.  13.2 million in a single bound.

currently difficulty is at 37. and is estimated to jump to 50. which is ~%35 increase so, if this trend continues, we are talking ~%100 increase per month
http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/
that is why I decided not to buy knc Jupiter at the moment, even if it is delivered in October as promised I still would not make ROI. Cry
if there is a flaw in this logic please point it out I really want to get Jupiter.
14  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How high will the difficulty be in 60 days? on: August 13, 2013, 06:13:23 PM
currently difficulty is at 37. and is estimated to jump to 50. which is %40 increase so, if this trend continues, we are talking %120 increase per month or %240 per 2 month

that is why I decided not to buy knc Jupiter at the moment, even if it is delivered in October as promised I still would not make ROI.

here is a better calculator http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/
even if you assume difficulty will increase %35 per 10 days and round it off to %100 per month the outlook is bleak

This was proven not true. The shopping cart they are using only allows so many orders, they have reset that once.
[/quote]

That was my hunch as well. So I wrote to knc (as to when the October delivery window will close) will report with reply tomorrow
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: *** Saturn-Jupiter Upgrade *** from kncminer.com only 13 more available? on: August 13, 2013, 01:58:24 PM
Looks like Saturn-Jupiter Upgrade will sellout soon.

Appear to have sold 26 in the last 12 hours with 13 remaining (based on available stock number).

BTW KNCMiner appear to have sold around $1.25 million worth of machines in the last week 60% being Jupiters.

Could you tell me where can I found the available stock number?

Place an order for say 10000 units of item you want. Will then show exceeds available stock & provide maximum number you can order. For example under quantity for Saturn-Jupiter Upgrade states " there are only 12" currently.

it states that:

"there are only 1517" Jupiters left to order

I guess I have a few days to pull the trigger.
I wander how long before October window closes and price drops for November deliveries?
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: August 12, 2013, 07:00:56 PM
for what its worth I did not put in an order yet (still in the process of doing research and I did read all of 284 pages of this thread)
so far knc looks more legit than the others ie

hashfest (might be too late might be another BFL) who knows

cointerra might be a good option for stage two of the ASIC war (especially considering that if I order  knc today my unit might be delivered too late to make the risk worth while)

since there is no hard evidence of "we are on track" statement it is hard for me to pull a trigger now - makes more sense to sit this one out and see if knc delivers and maybe get Jupiter for 2K less in November or 1T/h cointerra rig if they come to fruition by then.
