Disclaimer: I am invested in XSPEC Yeah XSPEC is a huge risk and may struggle to see any significant growth in the near future, but I don't see why you are all calling it a scam. It has a working product. Multiple warnings have already been given on this forum so it's up to the investor at this point. Those holding on are already aware of its community and purpose and we will continue to believe in it. Keep the FUD coming, just lets me buy more

SpectreCoin - XSPEC, https://spectreproject.io/Take a look at the features, relative to other privacy coins on the market, I think this project has a lot of potential. Lot of weakness in the marketing side but I think that can be made up in the long term with the tech it brings to the table.

On December 15th, I bought my first batch of XSPEC at around $0.58. I stumbled upon this coin when I was trying to research privacy coins, and I saw a comparison chart that showed the coin had some tremendous potential. Sure, things like a low market cap and a low supply were certainly alluring, but the number one thing that sold me was the community behind it. Whether it be the main developer or the numerous people invested in the coin, someone is always there to answer questions, troubleshoot, and help in any way they can. I've seen web developers, marketing agents, and coders alike offering any help they could to see this project to light. A couple of days after I had invested, I decided to help out in any way I could by creating posts to spread awareness and whatnot. Numerous people accused the coin of being a scam attempt and this certainly creating some FUD in me, but the community support pushed me through. After seeing this coin grow over 10x in market cap, it is easy to see how a community effort can only multiply. You don't have to believe me, check it out for yourself: http://slack.spectreproject.io/The lead developer goes by JBG on Slack. Take a look at how many questions he answers on the daily, as well as the active conversation taking place between the investors. New version 1.3.4 set to come out on January 8th, along with a complete website overhaul. The website will include technical features, FAQ, wallet support, and comparisons that will show the coin's promise.

To be honest I do not think anyone here is interested in acquiring coins due to the technological advantages offered by them as a means of payment, store of value or currency. The vast majority is here motivated by mere speculation, therefore it does not matter to buy any new shitcoin with a very cheap price, because the volatility of the market will give all of them the opportunity to easily generate a 100% profit or more in a matter of days.
Yeah, the culture has become like that. People are more considered with making a quick buck. It will take a few years, but cryptocurrency will soon be an economic revolution. The problems it can solve with efficiency and security are too helpful to ignore. In my opinion, this culture is necessary though. It fosters competition between developers to continue developing amazing products. Capitalism at its finest.

2018 stars will be
Xrp Xspec Xvg Kurt
Waves OmiseGo Neo Ark And finally: Don't forget Electra (ECA)! It's also a privatecoin and it's marketcap is very low. So there is huge profit in the air. I'm already invested in XSPEC and I've found that it's given me sizable gains, gotta love their community as well. JBG, their lead developer actually takes the time to answer everyone's questions. I really like the concept of Waves, I think I may buy some soon. What is appealing about Electra? They have a great website, but not too much information about their tech.

My favorite right now is XSPEC. Right now is a good time to buy because it is in a dip, with a new version coming out Jan 8th along with a website rehaul. Market cap ($113 mill) combined with a relatively low supply (20 mill) could push this coin a lot further in the next month or two. The coin has picked up some interest in the past few weeks and is still very young in terms of its potential. Check out the Slack: http://slack.spectreproject.io/You'll find the developer is very friendly and answers all questions about the coin's features and the community is very supportive.

Bought this coin at 3 weeks ago at 0.58, and has shot up to around 6 dollars now. To be honest, I took a big risk in buying but I feel way more comfortable and actually enthusiastic now. The developers were very straightforward and answered any questions I had and the community is very supportive/friendly. Some of the features the coin offers is on par with Monero yet is priced very low. Has a lot of room to grow in my opinion. I think it will reach at least 10 dollars by the end of January.

What is a concern to me is that all these newbie accounts created to spam this forum with Spectrecoin, I don't see anything new that this coin is introducing that other coins don't have, there is a reason why the coin as a relatively low marketcap because no one is using, and I believe come 2018 most of these coin will be surprised because they will be outdated
Yeah, I'm a newbie account and I want to explain my reasoning. I've never really been on forums for crypto, I've always done my own research and trusted my gut when it comes to money. When I first came across this coin about two weeks ago, I noticed the tremendous potential because of the tech. I'm always a proponent of product first, then marketing. So I went on their Slack and saw the motivation behind the community to do everything they could to support the coin. Never before had I seen a group of investors support/help each other to this level. It seemed apparent to me the group was onto something, so I invested. We are all just doing our part in a community effort, please don't take it the wrong way.

I second XSPEC, it's price right now is very cheap considering what it's already offering. I've been on their (I guess "our" now) Slack community and some of the new features that are incoming in Q1 and Q2 of 2018 will make this coin a private juggernaut. My suggestion is to buy now before the news are announced. Recommend you check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZuscaIEKhk&t=876sAccuse me of shilling or whatever, just trying to help out. I was very skeptical at first but joining the community really helped me see the value in the coin. Do the research and see if you like it!

I agree that Monero and Spectrecoin can co-exist. Monero can be considered more as a store of wealth in the privacy sector, while Spectrecoin can be used for peer-to-peer transactions. I'm hoping to see both of these coins form a working relationship, similar to that of BTC and LTC.

Predicting a growth of 1000x seems quite the herculean task. I can say though that a particular coin that has the potential to grow 100x is Spectrecoin (XSPEC). Just take a look at the supply and market cap and it will soon seem like an unbeatable coin because of the tech that supports it. Some of its best features include: PoS v3 60 sec transaction times Stealth addressing Ring signature transaction confirmation TOR capabilities New features that are being developed include: Stealth staking (breakthrough feature of private coins) Android wallet for peer-to-peer transacting The only disadvantage I can think of is a lack of professional marketing but this is being fixed by an organized effort by the community. All of the investors have gathered together to promote this coin by word of mouth and pulling together the resources to fund the project. Can you think of any such project where the community would be willing to see it through? I highly encourage you to join this Slack to see the level of commitment its investors have to seeing its success. The devs are extremely friendly/objective and will answer any questions about the coin. Why does everyone assume any marketing attempt is a scam? Just do the research and back up your facts before calling it a scam. I am by no means a member of the XSPEC team but it's simply a matter of benefiting everyone at the current moment by encouraging to buy now. With the current supply and market cap, it's value has the potential to go up at least 10x (very conservative estimate) because the tech supports it. Yes, the marketing is not up to a professional standard, but word-of-mouth can be a strong factor in pushing a new concept.

Your portfolio is not bad and based on your explanation, you know what you are talking about. How is it split, do you have equal share in all coins? I would add ETH and as you like privacy coins also XMR.
I was actually really interested in Monero before I bought Spectre but the price seemed really high. I already made some really conservative investments with the other coins so I wanted something with more room to grow. I will probably pick up some ETH once I see some returns. I think I'll probably hold all of these for another month or so before investing anymore. I'm losing a lot of interest in Ripple though, think I may sell it soon. 20% BTC 25% LTC 15% IOTA 30% XSPEC 10% XRP

Easily without a doubt Spectrecoin. I used to try to spread the name when the price was around $0.58 a couple weeks ago and the price is getting close to around $2. Heavily undervalued coin considering the supply and the market cap. Some of the features as you can read in the previous comments are on par, if not better with some of the best private coins on the market. Buy now is my recommendation, my prediction for the end of this year is $100. Surprised to see the awareness of this coin growing so fast, just a few days ago I was accused of spam and now I see others advocating it. But hey, no need to trust me, you do the research and decide. Highly recommend joining the project's Slack. Only BTC and LTC is good in your portfolio. Other 3 coins are trash. I highly suspect this thread is just another spectrecoin spam advertisement. You just put other coins to hide the fact that you are shilling for spectrecoin, just like dozens of other new users.
Why are the other coins trash? You don't even have to talk to me about XSPEC if you don't want to. What coins are you invested in that are so much better? Just looking to have a discussion

Hi all, I've recently obtained an obsession for crypto in the past couple of months and did some extensive research. I've invested my money into these 5 coins and I wanted to hear your guys' thoughts on these. I'm going to explain my reasoning and i'm hoping you all can do the same so we can have a logical and level-headed discussion.
1. BTC (for larger transactions) - i feel like I don't really need to explain myself on this one. I think this coin will continue to hold its throne for at least another year or two so long as any major news isn't released.
2. LTC (for smaller transactions) - I'm mainly excited for this coin because Charlie Lee, the creator, is planning some surprises for investors. I'm hoping online merchants such as Amazon will accept Litecoin as a form of payment
3. IOTA (interconnected device-to-device transactions) - I'm very excited about the concept of this coin and want to support its technology even if it doesn't make me any money. The tangle seems to be an amazing data structure and I hope they can work out their bugs and get enough devices connected. Truly believe this coin will be revolutionary. I remember watching a video on this coin that told me to picture a car that has a balance. That car would be able to pay for parking, get gas, move through toll gates instantaneously without its respective consumer pulling out a credit card/cash. When thinking about all the various devices that could potentially connect to the internet, the applications seem endless.
4. XSPEC (private transactions) - McAfee stated that private coins would play a large role in the future of crypto so I went out and did my research. After comparing this coin's features to the other coins, it seemed to me like this coin was heavily undervalued especially considering its market cap and supply. I noticed that it's a PoS private coin that boasts 60 second transaction times and incorporates ring signatures and TOR capabilities. I also like how the network provides staking rewards, providing an incentive to hold rather than pump and dump. The community behind this project seems to be very strong and helpful in answering questions, so I believe this coin has a bright future.
5. XRP (banking/institutional transactions) - I chose this coin mainly to diversify my wallet and have something that works closer with established institutions. I don't particular endorse a centralized system due to price manipulation, but I think it will continue to serve a purpose since it helps banks move large sums of money instantaneously with little to no fee. With a supply in the trillions, I think it will take a couple of years to see any impressive returns.

First I look at the technology and what purpose it will serve to a customer. Each coin has different features so in my opinion it is best to set up your portfolio in a manner that accommodates all purposes. There are other considerations including supply and the market cap, which will allow you to predict the growth of each coin depending on its supply and demand. I will tell you my portfolio and the reasons I chose these coins:
1. BTC (large transactions) - first to market, and will continue to hold the throne because it is the most widely accepted. You need this coin most of the time to buy other altcoins.
2. LTC (smaller transactions) - This coin is intended to work hand in hand with Bitcoin and the creator Charlie Lee has announced that many exciting features will be coming soon, and the possibility of many online merchants accepting this as a form of payment.
3. XSPEC (privacy) - I think with an ever increasing supply of internet connected devices and mass accumulation of data privacy will always be a concern. People want to protect their privacy and I think this coin has the best tech to do it. At its current supply/market cap, I think it has ENORMOUS room to grow especially considering the features that will supplement an already promising coin.
4. IOTA (device to device transactions) - Picture your car having a balance, that automatically sends payments for parking, or allows you to smoothly pay for gas at a gas station without having to pull out any credit cards or cash. Now imagine every internet connected device you have containing a balance that can communicate with other connected devices. I'm really excited for this one, but this is really long term.
5. XRP (banking) - This coin will for sure dominate any banking systems. I'm not too excited on the concept since it is centralized and the ridiculous supply doesn't allow for any huge growth, but I like having a diverse portfolio so I picked this for banks.

Highly recommend you take a look at XSPEC (Spectrecoin) With the current supply and market cap, it's looking like a very promising coin. It's a privacy coin that boasts some amazing technology: 60 second transaction times PoS TOR integration ring signatures Stealth addressing The new features that are currently being developed will be groundbreaking, some of them include: stealth staking android staking I think with its current price it has a lot of room to grow, so I highly suggest you take a look at it and let me know if you have any questions or feel free to join the Slack community: https://join.slack.com/t/spectreproject/shared_invite/enQtMjg3ODQ5NTMwODgzLTUzNzdjMjk4ZDAzYWUzMTVhNDRhY2YwZGQ3MzkxN2NjMzgzZDBmNjYzNmEyZDBlZTAxODVjZTNiNWE5MzIxYmQThe devs are usually there to discuss the coin's features and can provide any updates on where they stand for newer releases.

There are two things that bother me about XSPEC: - When you're reading threads about new and upcoming coins or tokens, it's always the same group of people that are shilling XSPEC. They move from one thread to another and always post the very same messages. Sometimes, they will post 10 to 30 minutes after one another. They either post the advertising images or list up to five coins, always making sure that Spectre is at the top of the list. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with enthusiasts promoting a promising coin. But at the present stage of development, this unnatural behavior definitely raising suspicion in my eyes. When I am enthusiastic about a coin, I write an analysis about it and engage in the discussion. But I honestly don't have the time to continuously post the same message in every new thread.
- Secondly, there is criticism that Spectre is still talking about ring signatures and tor integration while other coins are already utilizing SNARKS. I'm not sure if this argument holds any validity as I cannot verify or disprove it from a technical standpoint.
If this project is legit and as revolutionary as it claims to be, it has some great growth potential, though. You bring up great points and I totally agree with you. The marketing is being handled by a community that believes in the tech versus a professional marketing team so we are doing everything we can to raise awareness. If you or anyone thinks the coin may have some growth potential, you should join the Slack where the devs ausually answer questions on the daily.
