2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Difficulty, solo mining on: May 10, 2018, 02:20:56 PM
Hi Guys

i didnt know if i should write this post here or in bitcoin thread

so i have a general idea about difficulty levels

but what i want to know is "how do you decide to mine a coin based ondifficulty"

what is considered a good difficulty for SHA-256 SCRYPT X-11 & all other cryptos ( i have 13.5TH/s bitmain asics)

what are the benchmarks to look at when you are considering mining a coin

do you think solo mining is a good idea ???how do you know the probability of finding a block solo mining?? it is a gamble but it can still make you a ton of more money.
3  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Heat Solution? on: April 01, 2018, 03:11:10 AM
My problem is i only have a 4 or 5 inch hole in the celieng and i cant make any other holes or make this one bigger
4  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Heat Solution? on: April 01, 2018, 02:26:34 AM
the problem is i only have a 4 inch diameter on the roof, and I am not permitted to make any changes to the ceiling

i might try evaportative cooling in the open space in the warehouse (Not in the room where the machines are located) and also get a dehumidifier to get rid of the humidity

how do you calculate how much humidity a evaporative cooler induces ??
5  Bitcoin / Mining support / Heat Solution? on: March 31, 2018, 10:02:20 PM
Hi Guys

i am renting a 1200 ft warehouse and i have 18 Antminer s9s

i only have a 4 or 5 inch exhaust to get rid of the hot air

i have tried the following for heat management:
1- installing an exhaust fan to the opening( building a box around the exhaust fan of the antminers to directly suck the hot air out )
2- i have tried to install a y-exhaust tube to the 4 or 5 inch opening the the roof for an ac and the exhaust fan
3- i moved the machines into a separate room with their exhaust faced outside the room(AC in the room) and had the box stated in number 1 outside the room

THE WAREHOUSE TEMPERATURE IS STILL 42 DEGREES CELSIUS

now i am thinking of evaporator cooling but i need suggestions on how to solve the heat issue

any suggestions?Huh

which is more important
1-cooling the room
2-getting rid of the hot air ?

7  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Banks in canada that open business accounts for bitcoin mining on: March 06, 2018, 04:25:06 AM
we are a start up company our basic function is crypto mining
we tried to go to BMO and Scotia bank and both woukdnt allow anything related to bitcoin or cryptos which i found very weird because it is legal in canada, anyway we ended up going to a third bank and we didnt state the nature of our business in detail and we ended up with a business account

all our machines till now are s9s and t9s but do you know where i can buy some gpus and graphic card so i can start testing them and seeing how they work ?
8  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Remotely manage multiple Antminer S9 in different locations / networks on: March 06, 2018, 04:05:35 AM
hey guys i have the same issue

i have my s9's at two different locations and some of these miners suddenly become inactive

my problem is that transportation to the locations will vost me as much as the profit

so i need a way to remotely access them

i heard about raspberry pi and awesome mine but are they legit ?

also is it safe security wise to access them remotely ?

one idea i had was to buy one of smart wifi that can turn of the sockets remotely but then i will have to buy one for every machines

ive got the same issue with my antminer s9 13.5 th/s

i tried upgrading the firmware, factory resetting it, i also tried to ping the Bitmain netword(6 packets transmitted, 6 packets received, 0% packet loss)

the lights on the ethernet port on the back of the miner seems to be normal

i also just realized that the small red light on the middle hash board is not on

16  Bitcoin / Mining support / What are the red lights on the S9 antimer syncs? on: February 17, 2018, 08:16:09 AM
Hi guys

Id appreciate if someone could explain to me what the three red lights near the syncs are . I have a couple of s9 and one of the machines has the middle red light burnt does that mean the chip is burnt?

I know i can check the antminer ip settings for burnt ciruits but i just tried to change the pool and it wouldnt connect to the internet or show it was working,it also showed the continous decrease of hashrate from 9th/s or 10th/s To 0 as if it were dying

Please advise me on how i can test it
