1  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: October 24, 2013, 03:40:03 PM
Hey Punin,

I received my order today.

I noticed that four of the hboards in the full kit still had the caps on which you said you were removing. These boards were marked for slot 4 in each bank.
In the other full kit, none of the boards had the caps.

Is this intended?

Still concerned and would like some clarification about :
Also, if I may ask.

I received my order #104X. Smiley)
How can it be that mine 8XX has just been print....? and is estimated to arrived on the 28 of october

Thanks

The date in the tracking email from UPS that you get is pretty much the latest you can expect it.

For example, I got the tracking email today which listed the 28th October as delivery date (I'm in the UK).
However now it is in the UPS system on their website the date has been changed to tomorrow (24th October).

For those who have received orders:

How did you get the tracking number? I'm assuming it might be emailed directly by UPS since I cannot see anywhere on the BFSB site which might display it.

For the Easter egg hunt - these are my guesses (I hope they're right).

Hardware:
The hex string on the edge of the m-board is part of the coinbase parameter from the Genesis Block (Block 0) on the main network.

Which decodes to: 04ffff001d0104 + "The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancell"

See: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Genesis_block

Software:
By default, in /opt/bitfury/proxy_pools.conf
The usernames for each pool is set to the Bitcoin Foundation's donation address (Seen here - 1BTCorgHwCg6u2YSAWKgS17qUad6kHmtQW)

6  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: October 09, 2013, 03:03:14 PM
All 600's have been completed and some of the 700's also. We'll be shipping them out tomorrow. It's not late to get UPS express upgrade if you want yours by friday Wink

Well, that doesnt help when my order is outside the 600s and 700s cos I did add/pay for the express shipping lol

Hopefully you will get to mine before my birthday
7  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: October 09, 2013, 12:49:25 PM
Meanwhile packaging is going really well, and we'll have a big shipment going out tomorrow!

Where will that put you up to (roughly) in the orders?
8  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: October 07, 2013, 08:28:55 PM
@punin

Ordering a full kit (october delivery) will indeed give me the hardware in hand still in October? Or is this already November delivery?

They're closed for ordering the kits now.

We're a bit split up now as some large 400GH rig orders take time to build.

D'oh, I guess I'm included in that trouble maker group then.

But we've pretty much finished with 500's and doing 600's and 700's this week.

I hope I get my order in time for my bday then lol.
Hmm I wonder if I can bribe punin to make this happen Tongue

Hi Punin
Can you post information about new version H-board and M-Board ?

From reddit  Dave post:
"A re-designed M-board provides a more standard PCIe type card slot, eliminating the chance that cards could be slotted in backwards. This does mean the H-cards are also re-designed to accommodate this new edge slot. Those of you who ordered extra H-cards will receive V1 style H-boards of course!

Another exciting change is that we've added a trim pot that you can use to adjust the voltage on your H-cards. That's right - new H-cards come out of the box ready to overclock!"

http://redd.it/1nu0ey

I would assume that is for mbp customers only for now. Reason being is I have heard of V2 h-boards being put in the wrong way which wouldnt be possible with a redesigned card and slot.

Punin, where are you up to in the orders?

Hi punin,
Could you sell me 16 chips? Shipping to EU.
Just place order on the site and I will ship them tomorrow.

While you're doing that one, can you do my order too?  Grin

(Yeh, I know, you have a list of orders to go through.. can't blame me for trying Smiley)
12  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: October 02, 2013, 03:28:49 PM
out of the box, untouched. I'll start to play around with them after break even  Cheesy

Makes me want my order even more now.

I will sacrifice a small goat to the punin/bfsb gods

How's the power consumption?

At the moment, I don't have anything to measure it, I will come back to you.
But it can't be much, the whole setup doesn't even get lukewarm Smiley

I don't use the included fans, the rig is sitting on top of a rack, softly caressed by a gentle breeze from the cooling fans of a split AC  Smiley

Is that pencil modded?

So the V2 M board has fan headers?  Cool!  I hadn't noticed that before.

Very clever finding the Easter eggs!  Curious, what did you grey-out?  You can tell us now, you've won.  Smiley

Might be fortune, at a guess
15  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: October 02, 2013, 08:41:46 AM
Well that sucks, didnt have my order yet so no access to the software to find the easter egg there.

Already guessed the mboard had that genesis block on. But also the date on the hboard is also the bfsb start date (+- 1 day)

I hope next time punin does a competition, he will wait until most orders are delivered
16  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: October 02, 2013, 08:04:57 AM
Hehe Punin no offence here, but after the announcement of a lot better than expected performance KNC 28nm chip you begin  55nm chips sale started.
All we  known that soon BF chip will be worth a penny.
I'm very curious what we see here http://avalon-asics.com/

Well, based on what you just said your "choice" is very simple... yes? no?
17  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: October 01, 2013, 10:33:05 PM
Congratulations to the BFSB-Team for precisely meeting their delivery time  Grin I guess this October a mining hardware manufacturer will have shipped all their orders within "two weeks".

Can I assume your customer service is a bit stressed out in the moment, because of all the shipping? Last week I was used to receive an answer within minutes or a few hours, but now I am waiting since friday for the confirmation of a refund. Punin, could you give an estimate on the response time for e-mail inquiries at the moment?

Thank you.

About a week ago the wait was about 9 days for an email.

I dunno whether this is still true or whether the email backlog is cleared.

Did I mention we have delicious pizza for sale? Immediate delivery Smiley

Tasty Tasty Pizza.
19  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: October 01, 2013, 08:55:37 PM
Update:

We're progressing through orders in more or less consecutive fashion. We're now finishing late 400's and well into 500's. Some orders take more time to prepare, which is causing non-consecutive completion.

Thank you to all of you who chose to stay with us. We're working hard to deliver your gear in time. And as we used to say in Finnish Demo-scene "fuckings to lamers" (who cancel their order after we put so much work and effort into producing it on time as promised.) You're not many, and you won't be missed nor served in the future.

P.S. There are 2 satoshi -related easter eggs hidden in both our hardware and software. Can you find them? First to post both gets a FREE H-card, so don't post if you find only 1! Wink

Don't let the cancelers get you down, there will always be some people who order just in case they want it then cancel last minute.

Very much looking forward to receiving my order (although sucks to have a large order #)
Hopefully the two easter eggs wont be found before then!

Plastic end caps are a new option

Nice!

Really adds that finishing touch to it. Price?
