Ok thanks for the answer. I have looked more closely the mail clearly state "UPS SAVER" but the link to the tracking number given in the mail state "UPS EXPRESS SAVER" Lets cross finger and hope... This all Miner thing as been stressfull has days goes by and ROI is clearly getting real bad... Still concerned and would like some clarification about : Also, if I may ask. I received my order #104X. ) How can it be that mine 8XX has just been print....? and is estimated to arrived on the 28 of october Thanks

For example, I got the tracking email today which listed the 28th October as delivery date (I'm in the UK). However now it is in the UPS system on their website the date has been changed to tomorrow (24th October).

Punin - do you guys plan on selling any more chips?
With bitcoin difficulty shooting through the roof this current pricing is a fantasy and not worth even looking at.
Even if chips get delivered tomorrow and get through assembly in just two weeks (good luck with that) and start hashing on Nov/1 they'll barely make $15 in their entire life ... and that's excluding all possible expenses and having free electricity.
I'm speaking from a system integrator's point and all I can say is that the next two weeks would be the last time ever when those chips could be worth any hassle. To put those chips to work takes on average another $5-10 per chip in components and other materials alone. And it takes precious time - around 3 weeks at best. You probably don't need me to tell you that - you know better than me the pain of manufacturing stuff. You guys are still shipping stuff that was ordered months ago.
My suggestion to everyone in the bitfury team - unless you want to use them as tiling for your bathroom please throw all remaining quantities for sale as soon as possible.
At $1-$3/chip this would be their last gasp.
Past November/15 you might as well use them as a paper weight.
Let's give the BitFury Gen-1 chips a decent final and not make it another Avalon.
Punin - I never got an answer to that question, and I'd very much like to know what are your near-term plans for chips pricing (and are there any?) Any answer will be fine with me - things like "chips pricing will not change before X/Y/Z date", or "after X/Y/Z chips will be $/chip" or even "we have no clue right now, we'll think about it after X/Y/Z date", etc. Any of those is fine - I'm looking for a guidance from you so that I can also make an educated guess and a decision whether or not to attempt manufacturing some more NanoFury devices with your chips. Ideally a 3-4 weeks advance notice would work the best... And feel free to PM me if you prefer to continue the conversation there or if anything needs clarification or if you have any other questions for me. Dave at MGP has a reel in stock. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=251966.msg3383857#msg3383857

Got mine today, order # just tad below 1000. Thanks! Actually was in the Finnish post office yesterday, but had to stay late at work so couldn't get it then.... meh. Starter pack with one board. Does 23.6GH/s currently, one chip seems to be dead. It did 30 GH/s at the beginning, then lowered to 28 and stayed there for a while, but it seems autotuning is tuning it down. Strangely it seems that the fan i set blowing on the board didn't help the speed, on the contrary. I'm not really interested running it without the fan as the board got damn hot, it even smelled on hot electronics . I'll leave it running and maybe do some tuning tomorrow.

Help!
I have received a kit with 4 cards, but the unit shuts down as soon as it detects a card.
[2013-10-22 07:37:03] BITFURY slot 0: 16 chips detected
I have tried default chainminer and bfgminer. All 4 cards do the same, ie plug in any slot a1 b1 c1 d1 then miner starts and the power supply stops and i have to take out the paper clip to turn the power back on.
I have bought a nexus nxstek NX-5000 550W. Very quite supply, but is there a chance it is just shutting down? Or does the raspberry pi shut the power supply down? One thing i noticed is the 2 6 pin connectors are directly connected. So one extends the other. Should they be discreet cables to the power supply?
I'll get a new power supply today, but if anyone has any ideas, please let me know!!
Well it was the power supply!@!! Brand new 550w single rail 42Amp supply couldn't cut it bought a cheap 22 amp supply works fine! One of my cards died on the first day. So need to send back to replace :-( But its hashing away :-)

Hi Received my 2 extra h cards on monday, pluged them in and they have been hashing fine at about 30Ghs each, that is untill this happend just now So what is the procedure to get a card replaced ? I think I see pencil on the R02F. That voids the warranty Lol, good eye! And it looks like half of the pencil was used. Pity you are both wrong though or have I been doing the pencel mod on the c01R cap between the electrolytic cap and the vr as well ? flash shadows are a bitch. So enough with no warranty rubbish and instead how about telling me how i go about getting it replaced. There are several people in this thread who are having issues with the h-cards not performing as they should and so far i have seen very little in the way of help from BFSB. Tbh if somone can tell me the specs of the blown part I will replace it myself as that seems to be the only way to get any sort of speedy resolution, and yes that will invalidate the warrantee such as it is Nearly forgot even if i had done some sort of voltage mod the fact that a component blows out before the vr shuts down just points to cheep bad spec components. My brother got a H-Board that stopped hashing shortly after plugging in. There were no visible damage, but the RPi did not see this card in any slot. My brother then called Punin directly (if you did not throw away the original packaging, the phone number is there somewhere). Punin offered to send a new card immediately against a deposit in BTC. The deposit is to be returned when the faulty card is delivered back to Punin. The replacement card arrived in two days. The faulty one is still in transit somewhere. So, my advice: if you can speak English, use a phone. It speeds up the process significantly. Do you know what punin's telephone number is or where to find it? Need to send a card back. Thanks

My Raspberry PI got shorted out, a diode on the backside burnt out. I had upgraded from v1 Mboard over to v2.3 Mboard. It lasted just 5 minutes or so before burning out. (I had oriented it correctly, HDMI port facing upwards, etc etc. It mined for a few mins as well ). Now back to v1 Mboard. I think the PI does not like being fed power through the pins, and rather expects a micro-usb plug.
I had read sometime back that people complained of red-hot smoking rPI after plugging it in on the new Mboard. Anyone else concur?

I was wondering, mind you out of nothing, I'm not an electronic engineer, do you have fans attached to your mboard? Can fans attached to the mboard help preventing this "absorbing" such a spike? spiccioli. ps. don't be too rude when answering...

I have v2.3 board and the pi is only bit warm. But i'm not upgrading, both the pi and mboard are new... something to do with sw requirements between board revisions?

Basically the component that blew out is this (D17). It makes sense, I had just powered cycled the M-board, when this guy probably sensed transient voltage, and started destroying itself. After a few minutes magic white smoke. http://www.littelfuse.com/products/tvs-diodes/surface-mount/smbj.aspxSurface Mount TVS Diode tvs diode Web definitions A transient-voltage-suppression diode is an electronic component used to protect sensitive electronics from voltage spikes induced on connected wires. The device operates by shunting excess current when the induced voltage exceeds the avalanche breakdown potential.
Apparently it smokes up when it senses transient power from the 5V out lines on the GPIO headers. To be on the safe side, I recommend de-soldering D17, the black TVS diode on the back of PI, near the micro-USB plug and green fuse. I have removed it from my other working rPI, and it seems to be pretty happy since last one day.
