1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 2.4: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Windows) on: January 26, 2018, 02:27:54 PM
Hi

Really liking 2.4, about 5 MHs faster then the competition for me Smiley

do you have plans to make a CryptoNight (ETN/XMR) Miner too? that would be great!
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Computer RIG wont boot when 4th card plugged in, pls help on: January 01, 2018, 10:07:39 AM
I had exactly thesame problem a few days ago when I installed my 4th GPU.

I changed "gen4" to "gen2" in the bios, aswell as "enable 4G encoding".

Not sure what bios you have, so just Google these terms for your bios version, it might help.

Good luck.

Exactly this. I’ve got a Gigabyte motherboard and tried to install a 6th card but Windows wouldn’t boot (just a cursor flashing)

After a quick google I enabled 4G in bios and went straight in.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v11.1 on: January 01, 2018, 12:30:43 AM
v11.1

- fixed issue with stale shares, now effective hashrate must be higher.
- a few minor improvements.

PS. Linux version will be available in a few days.

Is this the same as the one you posted earlier (updated) or is 11.1 different?

Yeah here too nanopool reports 8500hs and claymore 9400hs
Hmmm. +1
Claymore, what can you say about this?

Check GPU load in gpu-z (must be 100% all the time).
I will do some tests in 1-2 days to confirm that the miner produces correct number of shares, though I already did it for v11.

UPD: It seems I found the reason, when pool sends new job, v11.0 drops old job too late (loses 1-2 sec). I have fixed this bug but it will take 1-2 days to test it properly and release an update. However, you can test a fix right now if you want and tell me if it helps:

Testing it on nanopool lets see how it goes

Please let us know your feedback

using blockchain Aug23 drivers here with AMD 570 Cards

I find that the new ones are too bloated with Wattman etc installed

plus there is an underlying issues with MSI Afterburner and using more than 3 Cards in a rig i think.

i now use Overdriventool, much better and works fine.

Is this new updated version final now ?

Is there something like this for Claymore Cryptonight miner? 10.2 or 11?

Hi this is my first mining rig that i build so i just want to ask you guys what do you think about my rig. Iam planing to build one more with 8 GPUs if i can find the same one Cheesy
Iam using Windows 10 PRO 64 bit and Iam mining on Claymore miner on ethmine.org pool. I was thinking to switch to Simple Miner but so far everything is good so i will keep mining on Windows. The only problem that i had during this build was the faulty Riser.
So here is some pictures from my rig and my config on the pictures you will see only 5 GPU that is because i had some problem with the seller. But i ordered one more and it one the way should be here in like one or two days Cheesy

So this is what i have
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H110-D3A
CPU: Intel Celeron C3900
RAM: PNY Anarchy X 8GB
SSD: Kingston 120GB
PSU: EVGA 1000 GQ
PSU2: EVGA 650 GQ
GPU: 5x(for now) Sapphire NITRO+ RX 580 8GB (Samsung Memmory)

I modded the bios setting for this cards and here is my overclocking

The temperature is around 50C with fan speed around 70%

And my Hash Rate is around 31MH/s

My Power consumption is around 820KW/h on this picture is around 840KW/h because i hooked up my monitor on the same plug

So is there anything that i can change to improve .
PS Iam using Wireless adapter

Hi, very nice first post!

Your next mission is to learn about undervolting

Have a look at MSI Afterburner and/or OverdriveNTool

Has anyone got a bios modded 570 to properly work with MSI Afterburner? As in can change core voltage ?

Have tried all AMD Drivers and seems the blockchain drivers (aug23j are only ones that enable mem/gpu clock in AF but I’ve never seen the core volts enabled yet (its enabled in settings and tried all the fixes from google)

I’ve since moved over to OverdriveNTool which seems to work better and under volts seem to hold ok when manually using claymore and other miner apps.

Card is a sapphire 570 pulse it’d using Polaris one click step patch, gpu 1150/850, mem 2000/900

Get 29mhs for ETH
Get 876hs for ETN

Only issue is when using nice hash or awesome miner , these 2 apps seem to ignore the under volt set in OverdriveNTool, even though gpuz says the cards are under volted my plug in watt meter says otherwise.

Any ideas why this is happening ? I’ve checked the manual overrides in nice hash and all seem to be default. Ive even added the extra flags for claymore to under volt but these are being ignored too.

I’m using Windows 10 Pro N if that’s makes a difference with fall update (1709)

If I remember correctly some earlier versions of the official released Afterburner would not let you adjust the voltage, depending on which video drivers were installed, and the beta Afterburner was required to fix this.
Here is a list of the beta drivers (only up to beta 19 - scroll way down the page), and the link below that is to a link for Afterburner beta 21. Hope this is what you need.

Thanks. I’ve already tried every combination of AF Versions and AMD drivers.

I’m kinda happy with OverdriveNTool give some more control and voltage does work so I will not be using AF anymore.

Guess my only issue here is why nice hash overrides the under volting in OverdriveNTool
