1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Whales May Be Behind The Current Bitcoin Surge on: May 13, 2019, 06:54:09 PM
bitcoin surge happens when fiat moves to exchanges and if whales were behind it then you had to look at their bank accounts where they trasfer fiat to buy bitcoin increasing its price, not the bitcoin blockchain!!!

ps. we had 4 huge news today leading to this rise. 5 if you count the price rise and the FOMO itself:
1. Microsoft launching a tool on bitcoin blockchain
2. eBay supposedly planning to accept bitcoin
3. BAKKT announced futures
4. Starbucks, Nordstrom, whole foods now accept bitcoin payments

p.ps. the drop below $6k was whale manipulation months ago. this is just market going back to normal after that manipulation was over.

That news was there for months but bitcoin continued to losing value.

Well said bit, just the right answer to stop the brag of BrewMaster.
What I see and believe is Every big move is a manipulation in BTC game. MS, Bakkt, eBay or any big names accepting BTC? Even that news is a part of this game too.

Never traded on TS myself and I might keep my distance after hearing what happened to you.

No one should.
Anyway, I tried to create an account on Bittrex before but I never got the verification email. I didn't bother much though as I am happy with Binance. It's just ZCL and ANON for what I need to go to other exchanges.

If there's other option for you to trade your BTC-other ALTs, you should've checked other platform to do that if you are not confident transacting in their platform.

I was going to buy ZCL which AFAIK is only tradable on TS, CoinExchange and Bittrex. I am not on Bittrex, and the price on CE was a little higher than TS. So I went there first. I used CE once before and everything was smooth and nice there. Will use them again today. I wish I had ZCL/ANON on Binance/BinanceDEX.

Seems that you already had experience using their platform, preferably you should've avoided using their platform since the admin themselves cannot give you a clear answer to your queries. Their mod should've also had an answer since you are right that moderators should've knowledge about how their platform and operation works.

It's not like I had experience using their platform, I kind of observed their platform for some times before using them to exchange coins.

Anyway, Thank you for your comment mate  Smiley Have fun!

4  Economy / Exchanges / I will AVOID TradeSatoshi - Here is why and why they are more evil than Banks on: April 27, 2019, 09:44:19 AM
It's just pure evil and doesn't go with the very basic ideology of crypto if you can't have the freedom of speech and anonymity and that's the kind of treatment I got today from TradeSatoshi team!  Lips sealed

Today I wanted to trade BTC to buy some ALTs. As it would be my first trade with them I didn't want to get locked in by any sort of ToS terms. So I knocked them in Live chat and wanted to know if I need to KYC to withdraw my funds. They said yes, but as they have two type of verification and it looked little confusing so to double check I told them that I only want to withdraw .0015 BTC worth of coins and if I still need to verify. Surprisingly enough, they don't know the answer of this simple question. Which is definitely weird. I then asked the same thing on their Discord channel and that mod don't know the answer either which is very unexpected from a mod as they should be knowledgeable about their business! They told me to open a support ticket and "WAIT" for the reply. As ''waiting'' annoys everyone, specially in volatile crypto space where the price may move at any second, it annoyed me too and I expressed my disappointment by saying the same thing/points I told here.

Aaaaaaand he BLOCKED me! WOW!

TradeSatoshi's activities always seemed fishy to me. I tried several times to sell my ANON, but whenever the price of ANON/ZCL spikes, they put it under ''Maintenance'' mood for indefinite amount of time! And now after the treatment I got from them, I simply HATE them  Angry

The project sound Like silk road's blockchain implementation. So, with that in mind, what kind of 'stuffs' you're planning/letting users to trade? Meth, 9mms and girls?  Tongue No, offense though! Just asking...

7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it a good time to buy EOS, TRX and TUSD? on: May 30, 2018, 01:29:55 AM
..try Stellar(XLM).as far as i know it's the fastest coin.
How Long does a transaction take on XLM?
Just withdrawn NEO from binance, took about 5 minutes. Wallet to wallet transfers take less than a minute, which is great for a coin that charges 0 fees. I have to pay Like 20 cents to get that speed. Don't know what is holding NEOs back!! Compared to eth, neo should worth 852 now, not 52!

P.S. Just remembered, NEO is centralized, ETH is not. It matters a lot.
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it a good time to buy EOS, TRX and TUSD? on: May 30, 2018, 12:38:06 AM
yes FUD can be considered as a Discount, but you should have know what kind of FUD it is.
(vulnerabilities on their system is not a joke, and so far based on my research they claimed it,which means it's not a FUD but instead it was a fact).
lastly,NEO is a good choice too.

Well, I agree that this is not a normal kind of fud, but I still prefer EOS because it swings so high along with the price change of eth. For the same reason I Like ADA and IOTA.

ETH have a lot of problems on their system lately.

I fu*k*n disagree with this. For me ETH was by far the most comfortable, fast and reliable coin to use, apart from those crypto kitty incidences which I haven't encounter. I used BTC and LTC, I know they are Lazy. Haven't tried NEO yet, but will soon. ETH is rocking the ground, everyone else are just talking.
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it a good time to buy EOS, TRX and TUSD? on: May 29, 2018, 10:29:57 PM
EOS is very bad at this moment because chinese FUD and vulnerabilities on their system.

What I've experienced is that FUD = Discount. As simple as that. That's why felt bullish on that. And even if TUSD is a stable coin, I just made a 4% profit on tusd/eth pair on binance. So, maybe TUSD is not as stable as USDT.

Honestly I feel Like NEO is going to boom anytime as soon as NEX ICO starts.
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Is it a good time to buy EOS, TRX and TUSD? on: May 29, 2018, 08:58:40 PM
The price of EOS, TRX and TUSD has been down about 8% since ETH price got a Little stronger. Besides, these coins seems promising and EOS and TRX has big news in june. Do you think it's a good time to buy these coins? I'm bullish EOS, at least.
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: EXX.COM - Anyone using this exchange? Are they legit? share your experience pls. on: May 29, 2018, 02:05:45 PM
..the 121 USD showing may only be a sell order made by someone. It does not necessarily mean you can sell at 121 USD
Exactly, I noticed that already and it's ridiculous what kind of traders put such high sell orders!!

Quote from: 4abrec
..but there are shortcomings in the interface and for me as for active trading it is not suitable
Yes, I felt that way too. Binance is great for that for me.

Though I am not sure if any of you two have traded on exx, but thanks for the response and your thoughts.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / EXX.COM - Anyone using this exchange? Are they legit? share your experience pls. on: May 28, 2018, 11:58:23 PM
This site sells LTC at 121 tether whereas Binance sells it at 110. Huge margin. That's why it seems too good to be true and I am so skeptic that they might be a scam or may have some sort of hidden fees or KYC drama. But so far got no bad review. If you're using this exchange pls share your experience about them. Thanks.
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is technical analysis useful? on: May 28, 2018, 11:51:53 PM
What I believe ''now'' is that TE is the reflection of human psychology thus it works. However you need to take other facts in consideration. In the case of crypto that should be sentiment analysis, news etc.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ethereum Classic (ETC) Wallet on MyEtherWallet - Which node to choose? on: May 12, 2018, 05:46:16 PM
I am new to using Ethereum Classic (ETC) and was looking for a good web based wallet to store it. Luckily, found that I can store ETC on my favorite MEW https://www.myetherwallet.com Wallet. I just have to click the drop-down menu button on the top right corner of the website and change the node to either of the two ETC nodes currently available. Now I don't know which node to choose and does it makes any difference if I choose the first one, or the second. Popular choice seems to be epool.io. Their wallet addresses are identical too which is also confusing. Came through a term called "splitting" don't know what's that. Can anyone enlighten me about these basics? What else should I know to not lose my funds?
15  Economy / Speculation / Sudden Price Drop! What's going on with the Market? on: May 11, 2018, 10:53:45 AM
Few days back I was this close to buying BTC when it was around 10k, but halted for some reasons. Now I see the price is around 8.6k and I wonder why the sudden downwards trend! I see no major news out there (or maybe the statements of mr. buffet and gates?). What could be the reason and how dip the price can go?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Which coin is the Fastest of 'em all? on: May 07, 2018, 08:07:08 PM
With ETH I never had to wait more than 2-3 minutes to complete a transaction. Heard a Lot of good words about the speed and recently tried LTC. Took 19 mins to complete my first transaction  Undecided Tron and NEO founders promise lightning speed, never tried yet. Some guy from this forum just claimed DigiByte transfers to complete in seconds.
I am puzzled. I really need a faster coin that charges Lowest tx fees to HODL as well as to use regularly. Share your favorite coins that you personally experienced/used. How Long does it take to complete a transaction and how much is the fee.  Roll Eyes
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / $5k to invest. Here are my chosen coins. on: May 07, 2018, 07:23:41 PM
I have $5k to invest in cryptos and I want your views. I am a HODLer and planning to wait till december of this year to see how far the prices go. I want to diversify my funds into old and established coins, newer but potential coins, some Low market cap coins and maybe few ICOs. I have initially made a list of a few coins to invest in:
  • NEO
  • Tron
  • Ripple
  • Zcash
  • Monero
  • Icon
  • lisk
  • Bitcoin
  • Ethereum
  • Ethereum Classic
  • Cardano
  • KuCoin Shares
  • Binance Coin
  • Electroneum
  • SophiaTX/ BLockport/ Matrix AI Network/ Internet Node Token

I really wanna hear which coins you would buy and why. Also please suggest me if you think of any coin that I should remove from my List.  Smiley
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ZCash - Undervalued Sleeping Giant? on: May 06, 2018, 11:27:52 AM
I've been watching Zcash for a while and it's price isn't going anywhere. Zcash's price should be up at least 4x if we compare it with BTC. So, I think it might be a big pump anytime this year. Thoughts?  Huh
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I don't have Tether (USDT) wallet. Can I still use and trade it? on: April 27, 2018, 09:49:12 PM
I was planning to trade LTC/USDT pair and discovered that Tether.to is not accepting new registrations. Is there any way I can use it? Can I still get an online wallet like omni wallet or exchanges wallet and store it there? Does omni or exchanges give private key to the wallet? I'm a complete noob here, enlighten me please  Embarrassed

You can still use it, but only between exchanges.

When you open an account in some of the USDT supporting exchanges (list here: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/tether/#markets), when you click on depositing Tether, they will generate you an address.

Thnaks mate! Much appreciated Smiley
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I don't have Tether (USDT) wallet. Can I still use and trade it? on: April 27, 2018, 10:38:41 AM
I have little knowledge on desktop wallets but as far as I know if I have the private key of my wallet stored somewhere safe and if someday my hard disk blows up, I can still get my wallet  and full balance back with the private key, is that correct?
It is a little bit more complicated than that, but yes you are right. With electrum, rather than dealing directly with your private key, you have to memorise a seed. Your seed is a random sequence of words that correspond to your private key. And you can write them on a piece of paper and store them securely. In case your hard drive blows up, you can install a new installation of electrum wallet on a new disk and just import your memorised seed and all your balance is under your control again.

Also can I password protect the electrum software?
Not that you can, but you should. That brings another layer of protection to your wallet.

Nice one. Thanks for the explanation. Another fear keeps me from using desktop wallets is that I am skeptical that these apps may secretly spy on my activity and steal things on my pc. Maybe that's absurd, but who knows? Is electrum open source?
