1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hottest ICO's of 2018 on: January 04, 2018, 11:44:55 PM
The ones I watch right now:

1.  NEX - they have not announced ICO dates yet, but love this NEO project.  https://neonexchange.org/

Worth staying on top so you don't miss launch date.  I think it is same team that did neon wallet.

2. Narrative - this one don't start until sometime in Feb, but it may be favorite.  https://narrative.network

I like that you can buy niches and earn money off of the content people post in them. Kind of like a domain name.  Love the concept behind this.

3.  BeeToken

Looks like it will be getting good buzz. Airbnb for blockchain.  People been talking about doing airbnb on blockchain and these guys are doing it.

https://www.beetoken.com/

Can you tell I love ICOs???  Looking forward to hearing more picks from others.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRE-ICO] Narrative - The Content Economy on: January 04, 2018, 10:47:52 PM
Do you need special qualifications to moderate in narrative or can anyone do it? Looks like a nice way to pick up some extra money.

For me, bitcoin has best long term potential.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best upcoming ICO on: December 30, 2017, 04:31:12 PM
Look closely to upcoming ICO on NEO APEX. APEX passes value and data ownership back to consumers, increases marketing effectiveness, data quality, and customer loyalty. Powered by NEO.
Red Pulse was first ICO on NEO and it's successfully, and they are partners https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/red-pulse/

Thanks for this suggestion. I am very interested in NEO projects. It's my favorite blockchain project!  Do you think we will see many more NEO icos in 2018?

Apex sounds interesting and I will investigate.

Two ICO projects that I like--

1.  Lucyd - AR smart glasses with los of patents. looks like a great team: https://www.lucyd.co/
2.  Narrative - content economy where users earn 85% of revenue.  amazing concept and interesting team too: https://www.narrative.network

Getting back to neo though... i really hope we see more icos on that platform.  would like to see some more competition for ethereum personally.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Publica "The 1st Protocol For Decentralised Publishing" might Worth $xx in 2018! on: December 29, 2017, 07:07:28 PM
Publica looks like a cool project alright.

Another content-based project I like is called Narrative (https://www.narrative.network).  They have not had their ICO yet though.  Be interesting to compare them with publica.  Looks like pubica is more book-focused whereas Narrative is more of a social network. I like the 'economy' structure in Narrative too.

Support for printed books for publica is cool.

8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Right time to buy bitcoin on: December 29, 2017, 04:57:38 PM

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whats the future of bitcoin with these high fees? on: December 28, 2017, 10:47:37 PM
As long as fees are high, it's only good for large transactions.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins to Watch in 2018 on: December 28, 2017, 10:41:29 PM

You just need to research to find ICOs you like. There are many of them and lots are not very good.  SO key is to do your own research and find projects you think have solid prospects and could be good value long term.

I've done a bunch of ICOs this past year.  Am pretty picky though.

To do:

-- See who is on the team. Are they experienced? Do they have linkedin accounts you can check out?  Do they have other companies they have run before?
-- Read white paper- this tells you all of the details about the project and is best way to see how well the plan is thought out.  If it makes no sense to you or does not seem like a quality plan, avoid it.
-- Check out timeline and think about upside potential - how confident are you that they can pull it off and and that it will happen?

It takes a lot of work to find best ICOs-- and don't rely on ICO directory sites either.

FWIW, these are new ICOs that are either happening now or about to happen I like a lot, but please do own homework0 don;t just trust me or anyone else:

1. Narrative- https://www.narrative.network-- they are disrupting social media and publishing so it's a huge opportunity and the white paper and team are very solid.  Probably my fave long term pick.

2. Gladius - https://gladius.io/ - DDoS protection on blockchain- this one also seems super solid to me.  like the team. Also seems very solid to me, though maybe not as big an opportunity as narrative is.

3. SwissBorg- https://swissborg.com - wealth management on blockchain- like team here as well. get a good vibe from this one.

Do't invest too much in any one ICO though... especially if you just getting started.  Get your feet wet and make sure you know what you are doing.

Aside from ICO, i like these cryptos-- NEO, ETH, Monero, Verge, and Bitcoin.

Agree on Narrative and Swissborg... also envion too!

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Cardano smart contract platform better than Ethereum and NEO? on: December 28, 2017, 09:43:58 PM
Cardano looks promising.  Not sure it can ever catch ethereum though, even if the tech is better.  Eth has to much mindshare and will get better over time.
