*** IMPORTANT ***
I just spoke to Mike over at Vault of Satoshi, they are ready to implement us.
** What I need **
We need to make it very easy to implement NXT on exchanges. Could someone please send me the right information to send to VoS to get them started?

Would love to hear some updates from the Berlin Conference!

Once we get the new clients vetted, I plan on following up with Steve at GoCoin and Eric at ZipZap. Sent a few follow-ups to Cryptsy, CoinMKT etc.. and cc'd members of the development team.

It looks like Coins-e isn't adding Max anytime soon (gave up on it anyway). Tried to do a withdraw and ** STILL ** haven't received my confirmation email yet. Careful.

How do the 'devs' handle these issues:
Twitter - Umm yeah, here's some more seeds.

I get to this part:
cd ~ && ./maxcoind --daemon && watch './maxcoind getinfo && ./maxcoind getmininginfo && ./maxcoind listaccounts'
Error: Can not connect to server

what two officials pools ? that is what i keep asking and you guys keep ignoring me (and others asking)
Check their website: http://www.maxcoin.co.uk/ , on the bottom of the page. Actually there is now only one pool, they have removed the second one. thank you. i wanted to cross reference the two pools like i said earlier that the Virus poster announced ..get it or is my "engrish" Much good ? also to the guy saying the source was leaked is to blame.. you don't know squat so don't spout off okthx the GPU miner for nvidia would have been made within minutes of the coin launch anyway.. also the Nvidia miner is windows AND linux STOP spreading FUD .. half of you are clueless and should be quiet about things you don't understand and yeah i know because i am compiling it right now on Windows with the included VISUAL STUDIO project file cudaminer comes with. Much FUD ? very yes ! 1. *yawn* anger issues 2. You are wrong (again), the official miner was posted by Stacy 3. "GPU miner for nvidia would have been made within minutes of the coin launch anyway.." False, the guys have been tweaking CUDA parameters for hours. Now you're ignored, have a good day.

did you guys see the posts in this forum with binaries that had a virus ? the guy linked to 2 pool links so are those suppose to be legit or are they setup by the virus writer etc this is one of them.. http://pool.webcoin.us/maxand to that guy earlier, ya i do think your mostly dumb still because 99.99% of you all still don't know or care and that applies to all coins that get released.. and besides who the hell are those two guys anyway ? and what other coins have they released and what names did they use ? i find it hard to believe it's their first lol And not impressive either they simply copied and pasted Neisklar's quark miner and deleted a few files and changed 3 lines of code and you noobs are proclaiming this as some new innovative coin etc.. suuuuuurrreee lol it's a half ass clone of QRK/SRC but they deleted the stuff that made those two coins good. Interesting rant, can I get an English translation? I've already said my peace concerning this terrible launch. The coin lacks any innovation, the project planning was terrible and follow-up has been worse. With the CUDA miner in the wild, this should get interesting in 5 1/2 hours.

I guess this forum is filled with 12 year olds. If not then... what is wrong with you guys. It's like you guys have no restraint and have never had anything delayed before.
Nope, almost 40. Delays are one thing, incompetence and poor project planning is something entirely different.

chmod: changing permissions of ‘maxcoin-cpuminer’: Operation not permitted
very strange... :/
Are you root? worked great the second time around. Thanks for your help.
Stupid question but the pool has to be up and running before this can started ... correct?
Correct, all you have to do now is to wait until the pool is up. Also please note this (!): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=450539.msg4960879#msg4960879Now that the source is in the wild, do you expect GPU miners competing at launch tomorrow?

I've the cgminer version and settings to mine this coin with GPU (just compiled). Is not a joke.
Send me PM 0.5 BTC with TX ID as confirmation at 1GN8R637sygReakbdwGnhogXSVuDHfKADr.
I'll send you a password protect zip file containing settings and software.

Not mining this botnet coin.
... and yet here you are.

What would be fair starting price for maxcoin?
Whatever the market determines is fair.

I hope there are some faucets available and my friend said I can mine on a laptop is that true? I would love to be able to hatch out some of this coin and I praying Max will build infrastructure for the coin as well. Careful about mining on a laptop.

|
|
Wow so that means we can mine with GPU. No. Until we have the source, we won't know the tweaks needed to make it work. It's not just 'Oh, someone has a GPU miner with the same algorithm, it'll work instantly'. If they don't have a miner available at launch, someone will create one. The question becomes when they release it in the wild.
|
|
|
so will gpu mining work on this or not
*smile* Nothing has changed, nobody knows until source is released.

*** Summary *** For those that don't want to wade through endless posts: 1. Until we get additional config information, we're just guessing right now - That includes the possibility of GPU miners - That includes pools 2. No, the client has not been released yet 3. 7:30 GMT. So, this is another GPU coin? Lame, I must say.
You do realize there are already GPU implementations of Keccak, right? This isn't some ground breaking tech like Primecoin, it's more of a question how long their implementation of Keccak will take to port.

So, any thoughts on this true scam coin? Did I get it right - the guy with the TV audience is making his own coin? Sounds SOO COOL. I'm gonna throw in 1 mil dollars as soon as it goes out.
*yawn* Free market, I'm not mining this coin because of long-term potential. If they really wanted to support the crypto scene, they could have easily backed a coin with real innovation like Nxt.
