2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Depressed that I was not an early adopter on: November 25, 2013, 02:11:39 PM
Don't be too depressed being not an early adopter because its not that bad at all compared to what I have heard of a person who was paid around 1000 bit coins for selling his website and then cashed in too early at around 20 dollar per bitcoin. If he just waited, he could have been sitting pretty well now. That's I guess is truly depressing.  Shocked
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any e-commerce sites accepting bitcoin? on: November 25, 2013, 01:44:08 PM

Have you had personal experience transacting with bitcoinstore? How's their service? Thanks!

They are a nice service and is owned by Roger Ver who is deemed a very trustworthy person in the community. The site currently undercut major online retailers like Amazon, this can be done since they are not dealing with fraudulent customers or paying transaction fees to the monopolists.
Also, the site sells with no margin, meaning it only profits from bitcoins appreciating in value

Thanks for the information. I'll check it out.

6  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How long till the end of the USDollar? on: November 24, 2013, 05:55:11 AM
How long till the end of the USDollar? Nobody can know the answer, only TIME can tell. I think its better to ask if which currency will survive, BTC or USD?

8  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Philippine disaster first world BTC fundraising on: November 24, 2013, 05:00:14 AM
Donating via BTC is not the best way. Its better to donate via traditional way in reputable non for profit foundations and institutions. If those foundations and institutions would accept bitcoins then its okay to donate but donating to anyone without the proven reputation, I think its not advisable.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of all cryptocoins on: November 24, 2013, 03:43:42 AM
Does anybody know if any government is making its own cryptocurrency? I think governments are possible contenders for cyptocoins as well.
10  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Does mining require a professional on: November 24, 2013, 03:36:42 AM
I was also thinking of mining but after serious consideration I think its not very viable way to earn bitcoins. With the hardware cost and the electricity cost its not worthwhile. Unless, you can spend on solar set-up or plug on some free electricity source then it can be viable probably, but recovering startup costs can take years I guess. I think its better to earn bitcoin from service and trading.
11  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Stay away from Coinbase on: November 24, 2013, 03:27:50 AM
This is one of the risks in BTC. This is downside if govt wont support and we have nowhere to go to complain any issues we have on BTC transactions. For now, posting and warning about the scam is the best way to counter those scammers. Thanks for the warning!

13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Paradox on: November 24, 2013, 03:08:34 AM
There are still some cloudy issues that need to be addressed before any govt or everyone support BTC. The problem with BTC is if only handful of people or organization control majority of BTCs and manipulate its circulation that it drives the BTC price higher.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any truth to this rumor? on: November 24, 2013, 02:49:21 AM
Hedge funds could be driving the BTC price.

Free bitcoins are rare. Almost 0% chance someone will give you free bitcoin. You need to earn them in many different ways.

20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When will BTC be worth $100,000 per BTC??? on: November 23, 2013, 07:07:40 PM
It wont be worth 100,000 per BTC. More likely, US will intervene so it wont happen.
