You should add a 'Support' button to the application to package up the log files, add a note/who it is from then upload the data to a support desk. Asking subscribers to manually dig out the files and email them seems to be a bit archaic.

Hi Leo-team. First of all, I've also just bought the 249$ lifetime subscription, and I, unlike many others - are EXCITED for the re-branding. My question is, which raspberry pi should I buy if I want to run the new software on it? I read that you suggested a banana pi in a previous post, but that was for leo. So which one is the best for the marginsoftware? If Margin works the same as Leonardo then the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B works the best. If you are quick there's 15% off until 4th March over at Pimoroni https://shop.pimoroni.com/products/raspberry-pi-3

We cannot support two code bases I'm afraid. All effort will move to the new margin terminal.
Will there be any more development on leonardo before the switch over to margin? What updates can we expect before development and support is abandoned? What about API keys? Will API key changes still be supported for leonardo? What about exchange API updates? As we know the exchanges often change/update their APIs which could mean that leonardo is totally redundant within a year if all exchanges update their APIs. Like kriojenic I purchased the Ultra licence to support you guys and it would have been better for me to purchase the Single license and an additional market licence. So we have basically paid to test and develop your business. We maybe lost a bit of money / profit along the way as due to bugs or things not working quite how we expected them to but it had been worth it while we had the prospect of a stronger, more robust and feature rich application in the future.

What is an Ultra and a non-Ultra customer, can u explain please?
Ultra was the most expensive lifetime licence available and it allowed you to use 7 exchanges. Non-Ultra was the more basic license that allowed you access to one exchange.

As an ultra customer you can replace exchanges. So if you maxed out seven exchanges you can replace the ones you added before Just add the new secret at the usual URL and drop us a mail: http://www.marginsoftware.de/registration.htmlAll the best, Rene Brilliant, thanks Rene

Heya guys... I have a question. I'm owner of a ultra license and have registered four exchanges up to today. I'm actually using the newest 3.8 release on those four, from which one (bittrex) is still unusable up to today. I'm now thinking about adding kraken and binance to my "portfolio" and began to wonder, how this licensing thing will go on in the long run. I looked at your page and found that you write, the ultra license includes 7 exchanges, which clarified it a bit for me at least. So .. now the real question. What should we (ultra license owners) expect in the future when new exchanges are added? I imagine, i can just add 3 more exchanges to my existing 4, which might fill all seven slots. If i want to add another exchange, do i (or do we) need to buy another license slot? I don't wanna rant about that, i'm just a bit curious about it. oh any btw, any news on the bittrex situation? Greetings, hacky Good point hacky. I purchased the ultra licence in December with 7 exchanges. I definitely won't be using Bitfinex and I would like to use Binance instead.

Hi!
I just tried updating the Arm version on my Raspberry Pi to 3.7.8 and I get the following error when trying to unzip leonArdo-arm.tar.xz:
leonArdo-arm/lib/libxcb-xinerama.so.0 leonArdo-arm/lib/libXcomposite.so.1 leonArdo-arm/lib/libwayland-server.so.0 leonArdo-arm/lib/libQt5XcbQpa.so.5 xz: (stdin): Compressed data is corrupt tar: Unexpected EOF in archive tar: Unexpected EOF in archive tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
Unexpected end of file is usually a corrupt download, maybe redownloading can help. Yes, we tested the version that on the server now and it works. Please try again. Best wishes, Jonathan Yep, working now thanks!

Leonardo should have its own forum, rather than people having to wade through this mega-thread, then we can have tech support sorted by platform, issue type etc.
I agree, there is so much information losrt somewhere in this 178 page megathread! Even a dedicated subreddit would be better than this!

Not sure if any other Raspberry Pi users have noticed this but sometimes when I close a coin pair it closes the whole program instead of just that tab...Not every time but it has happened twice in last 24 hrs. Not sure if it’s a big or a communication problem with VNC viewer.
Yeah, it's annoying. The trick is to not close the tab that is currently open

I just found and test that the 2nd message
** (leonArdo.arm:1067): WARNING **: Error retrieving accessibility bus address: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.a11y.Bus was not provided by any .service files
goes away by running: sudo apt-get install at-spi2-core
Nice work - I'll give it a go!

Hey, whenever I run leonardo on my new Raspberry/Raspbian setup, I'm getting the following terminal message.
running on Raspbian libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to authenticate
** (leonArdo.arm:1067): WARNING **: Error retrieving accessibility bus address: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.a11y.Bus was not provided by any .service files
leoNardo opens normally but I don't know about this message on terminal window. Any fellow raspbian has any idea?
I get that too. I wondered what it was but when I ignore it everything works fine!

That's Bittrex not answering you when you try to get the orderbook. Nothing we can do about it. If you just saw '(try 1 of 10)' it worked already at the second call shortly after. leonArdo will keep trying and continue when Bittrex starts answering again.
All the best,
Rene
Would it be better to either: a) Log the fact that attempt #2 was successful after a failed attempt has been logged or b) Don't log anything until attempt 10/10 fails which would indicate a more severe issue.

Hey guys just got a raspberry pi 3 to run LeonArdo. I’ve been running on my win10 laptop but I’m a total newb with pi. Can someone just give a quick tutorial on how to download and install LeonArdo on the Pi using raspbian?
Really appreciate it in advance. Thanks!
Here's how I installed leonArdo on my Pi. You need to go to the Raspberry Pi website and download the lastest Raspbian OS and follow instructions on how to copy the OS on to your Sd card. https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/raspbianOnce you have Raspbian up and running you need to open a terminal window and paste in the following commands: sudo apt-get install libqt5websockets5 sudo apt-get install qt5-svg wget http://marginsoftware.de/downloads/leonArdo-arm.tar.xztar xvJf leonArdo-arm.tar.xz cd leonArdo-arm/ ./run-leonArdo.sh

Hello! Another Raspberry Pi user here. I had been considdering purchasing leonArdo but when they announced a Pi version that made my mind up. I'm using leonArdo on a Raspberry Pi 2 and Raspberry Pi 3 (one for Bittrex and one for Poloniex) It works remarkably smoothly and as gnoe says, it uses very little power and is silent. I use VNC for all access to the Pi's - they have a power lead and network cable plugged in and that's all - and VNC works great. VNC also works well on Android for checking how things are going. Configuring a new bot is a bit fiddly but can be done. The memory usage is approx 35% and the CPU usage is normally 20-30% and my Pi's have been running constantly since 22nd Dec without issue. Hi! Which distro are you using on your Raspberry Pi? Hi nilsontc, I am using Raspian
