1  Other / Meta / Re: Stop Signature campaigns. I need theymos to see this. on: February 26, 2018, 09:31:55 AM
You need to stop shitposting in this forum, right? Then stop bounty programs and signature campaigns. This is the main reason for shit posting. I can see many newbies trying to increase their post counts here and some trying to farm merits here. If you really want to save the forum, stop signature campaigns . But no one will do that. Because they want to make money. Once upon a time , account sales were allowed in this forum. I can quote many posts from the forum saying that account sales were allowed here. Even posting in the ANN thread of ICO was compulsory for signature campaigns. Now the scenario has changed. I can see many newbies and low rank holders digging the forum to collect all those informations from the past to get merits here. But they dont know that once it was allowed in this forum. I request all the DT members of this forum, not to give any merits for any users who post in this section .

Also set a month like  november or december 2017 and track all the account sales after that and paint them red. In my opinion its not fair to track all the account sales that happened from 2009. And i request theymos to set the date for that. Because if you search the posts of this  section we can see here many saying account sales were  allowed in this forum. So i request theymos to fix the date . And I also request theymos to stop signature campaigns and bounty campaigns.

If you really want to tag members who did that in the past, i suggest to tag all campaign managers first because they were the first who started  ICO ANN bumping . After that tag others. Many people still dont know that bumping Ann thread is now against the forum rules.

If you want I will post all those details here like who all encouraged ICO ANN bumping .

You want to be saved from road accident; just stop walking; running; driving; travelling on the road; you are safe; your life is saved; stay at home; no accident ok.
I just want to ask one question what is the  objective of this forum; may be other reasons too but as per my knowledge and belief most of the people here are because they want to invest; trade; earn bitcoin and signature campaign is one of the ways to earn here.
Bounty managers are paying the posters on wearing signatures of their companies.  The payer needs to check the posts for which they are paying.  If they are paying for shit posting they should be brought under strict rules and regulations or they should be guided (instructed) not to pay for low quality posts or throw away the shit posters from their campaigns.  This suggestion is stupid idea that earning sources should be blocked for better quality posts.
There is no guarantee that if campaigns are banned; the quality of posts will improve on the contrary majority will sit silent without postings

Your analogy is stupid. You can't compare a signature campaign to walking; running, driving; those things are in NECESSITY to go on with your life. But signature campaign is not a necessity in this forum it can be removed without hindering your everyday life and without stopping the essence of this forum. I see many of you are already afraid of removing the signature campaign and bounties it just prove that you all are just money hungry. I will not be surprise ya'll be the first one to leave this forum once you cannot earn any shit here. While others are only thinking of themselves, I am willing to sacrifice earnings to make this forum decent and spam free.
2  Other / Meta / Re: Ban on: February 26, 2018, 04:30:21 AM
My friends account was banned, I'm guessing it's permaban as it did not state how long till he can post again.
My friend did not receive any warnings at all or any temp ban.
So I'm wondering what are the grounds for permaban without warning?
I think it will be permanently ban. Your friend get ban because they didn't follow the rules or your friends post is just copied from other user. Not following rules may get punished nor perma ban.

Like I said he didn't copy paste. Not to be rude to anyone here but Everyone here says thats the case but its not. Sure you can go ahead and think of it that way, thats your opinion. But seriously All(most) the replies  and informations here  (except the first one)  are not helping and a repeat from what others have said.

Whatever the reason is it remains a mystery to me.  I thought there was like a new forum rule that my friend and I are not aware of and maybe some here are not aware of but I guess the rules are still the same. There are just some unlucky accounts that are mystically banned without a proper reason to backed.  Any new information or speculations are welcome but if there's nothing more to add please just delete this thread as I do not find anything useful here at all.  It will just be bumped with the same info over and over from shitposters.

edit:
Okay I just saw the lock thread. Will be locking it

Agree. If the moderators and admin are really serious in taking out spams and shitposting just ban signature campaigns.
This forum will be nice and quite and only those who are seriously fan with cryptocurrencies will stay here.
But guess what? they will not do it. There are plenty of people in higher ups getting money from campaigns and traffic it generates. They want money.
Hypocrites telling newbies to stop coming here for money, when in fact they know themselves they are earning money here and that everyone here wants money.
Just stop the root cause and everyone who seriously hates shitposting(those that never joins sig campaigns) will be happy.
4  Other / Meta / Re: Local Board (Filipino) on: February 25, 2018, 02:01:41 PM
I think what we are suggesting is like a child board thats not necessarily offtopic, but not bitcoin related for example, altcoins & ICO's, Exchanges, wallets, Meta etc.
The deletion of posts are very rampant in Filipino Local Board it's like its no longer a forum but just a Local Announcement Board for Filipino.
5  Other / Meta / Re: Local Board (Filipino) on: February 24, 2018, 04:14:01 AM
Same. I created a new topic which I think is not a repeat because it's about a new issue on forum and I thought it would be good for us filipinos to engage on that topic and have a little brainstorming for us to be able to help each other. But the post got deleted and I'm puzzled why. I don't think they even read my post probably they just saw the topic and assume its the same as others. There was no topic like that because if there was I could have just replied to the thread and join in. I wish there's a child board where we can discuss those like I can freely discuss things here in the main thread. Seems our local thread are more strict than the main thread here.

Well it depends on what the ban is for, as well as how severe the actions are. You'll get a warning for spamming, but if you make 20 spam posts, you may not. Things that are more likely to get you a permanent ban are illegal activity (Bitcoin forum != Darknet forum) , posting malware, copy and paste spam, or breaking any rules with the obvious intent to avoid being caught. Warnings are given to those who mistakenly break the rules. If you are trying to cover your tracks, there is far less leniency.

No he's not doing illegal activity at all. I think the closest would be spamming? What do you consider a spam?
I know he only post 1-2 posts a day. It's not a copy paste, just a regular convo.

8  Other / Meta / Re: Will Trust System become obsolete? on: January 28, 2018, 03:15:19 AM
Hi Thule,
I keep reading bad stuff about Lauda and company. I suppose they are really hated for their abuse of the trust system. I noticed almost all members here doesnt like them but I dont know why they are still here. It makes me angry and feel this forum is very biased and power tripper. Everyone just kiss their ass so they won't get neg trust but does not sincerely like them. If polls will be created on which member should be kicked out I'm pretty sure its them. I admire your courage for stepping up and be the voice of the quiet majority here. Please be the instrument to change this forum to be better and destroy the evils like Lauda and company.
9  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion for a better forum on: January 28, 2018, 02:30:14 AM
Up for this. I like this idea to be implemented so everyone can participate and be vigilant in this forum.
The bad thing about it is that it will also be abused but not all system are perfect, it will be a great start though.
10  Other / Meta / Re: [LIST] USERS THAT ARE ABUSING MERIT SYSTEM on: January 27, 2018, 09:35:24 AM
I suspect this user https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1082600 mutually exchanges the sMerit points with his alts.
Are you fucking serious ?
That's me .
I gave a few merits to my wife the minute I heard about this whole system .I didn't even understand the whole concept at the time ,I just did it .
And yes ,my wife's handle is "mister k" .No reason for me to explain to you why her handle is "mister" ,it's a long story and none of your business .
Check her email if you're that paranoid : "theknittinggirl..."
The others I received from french guys who like the work I do in the French version topic of airdrops .
Some guys here give 50 merits to their buddies ,I gave a few to my wife ,what's the big fucking deal ?

Why not? It is allowed as long as it is not your alt/not proven, that this is your alt. Same right for all here in the forum.
We can do with our sMerits (if we have some) whatever we want, spend for whatever we want and to whoever we want, as long as we don't cheat.

Apparently not, the higher ups will judge you as they like. If they think you are spending your merits on the wrong person you'll be receiving a negative trust. So you can't really spend it for however you like. Good luck to that.
11  Other / Meta / Re: Will Trust System become obsolete? on: January 27, 2018, 09:25:03 AM
No bruh it will still not be obsolete because the people behind giving the red trust are still giving red trust to those people that they THINK have questionable merits from their OWN judgement.
Those with red trust are not worthy given merits based on the post I read from the almighty DT's. They will also not be taking red trust because their judgement are final and cannot be reversed forever.
12  Economy / Reputation / Re: aTriz and Lauda just got merit! on: January 27, 2018, 09:18:19 AM
Because they are the power here and we are just under them no one can say they are wrong. They are always correct we cannot protest that's the reality. We noobs just have to deal with it.
It's either we whine or kiss their asses.
13  Other / Meta / Re: Dear Theymos,i have a good idea. on: January 26, 2018, 10:44:40 AM
I agree I also want a voting poll but only those Full Members and up can join to lessen manipulation and with the explanation thread at the same time.
Full member and up will not solve anything. Do you read the forum and see Legendary members at each others throats? Or multiple members of all ranks scamming? If someone is pissed at a DT member, no matter their rank, they'll try starting a lynch mob with all their friends.

That is why I added there should be an explanation thread or something so people can weigh and be the judge.

15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are waiting for 50 forks Bitcoin in 2018 on: January 24, 2018, 02:06:57 PM
The problem with these forks are its making bitcoin and other crytocurrencies a joke. Its like 1 out of 10 forks may be legit ones everything else are for dumping for quick profits.
I believe those making forks are just lazy ass developer who cannot program something unique and just riding bitcoins popularity. The good thing about it, when fork dumping begins, it may make bitcoins value raise. So it still a win-win situation for btc.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is useless on: January 24, 2018, 08:17:39 AM
I am amazed with number of people being fooled with BTC:

1. Transactions takes hours
2. Fees are high
3. Development team sucks, uncapable solve scalability issues for years
4. Its not anonymous, every solution to make it, failed so far
5. Its centralized: who is biggest hash power owner? Who is biggest miner hardware provider? Who owns most of bitcoins? What is % of Bitcoins in coldstorage and what in exchanges ( Ye Mt Gox )
6. There is 0 economics for BTC, it just tight to USD with liquidity providers, cut that and try to value pizza box with just BTC
7. Its not store of value, its not digital gold, and it will never be 100k USD. Because it has no value. It has value only for energy probiders, hardware manufactures and random phils.
8. Its not insured, If some crap happened to your BTC, its gone.

Such crap will never be used in payments, noone wants to support Terrabytes or Petabytes of data.

Its funny to observe how uneducated shills trying to make casual office landline phone to look smart phone.

BTC is scam of the century, stay away.

Everything you said is correct but why are we here on this forum anyway? I clearly believe that most of us started being amazed with bitcoin and the technology behind. There are many good things bitcoin has brought to this world, and if you weigh it its heavier than the disadvantages you listed. and also because no matter how bad bitcoin is, bitcoin is still the best and you cannot deny it.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: South korea crypto ban ... why it is important for the rest of the world ? on: January 24, 2018, 02:45:42 AM
First of all there's no crypto ban in South Korea. I think all news related to crypto be it good or bad is really important because it can affect the crypto's. Crypto's prices are based on supply and demand But I think it's also base on rumors, news and events in the world.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the bitcoin price goes down on: January 23, 2018, 10:13:23 AM
from my point of view I think people are scared and withdrawing as much as they can before btc goes down more
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The countries banned Bitcoin on: January 23, 2018, 10:03:32 AM
I don't think they are banned I heard they are just regulated in China and Russia
