I want to know more about BTC but don't know where to start. Can you help me with this?

Go through " Beginners and Help" and "Bitcoin discussion" sections on this forum. Also, do not enter with false hopes, be ready for possibility of loss as well.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a form of gambling? on: April 05, 2018, 11:14:18 AM
No doubt it is risky way of making money and you can compare it to gambling. It is gambling because, you do not have any control on the prices.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest or bounty? on: April 05, 2018, 11:12:28 AM
Hello!

How do you prefer to get crypto? Do you invest or you prefer to join bounty?

What is more, you can get tokens for testing a project's beta. For example, KickCity. You can get reward for testing this platform https://kickcity.io/event/5a9d11030cf2cac8e081f3e8

Bounty is good for new investors only. If you have the money to invest, do not waste time in bounties or Airdrops.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better to mine or buy Bitcoin? on: April 05, 2018, 11:10:32 AM
Mining is for people with deep pockets. If you have sufficient money and have to choose between one, go for mining. It will be more profitable in long run.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My advice to Bitcoin newbies: relax on: April 05, 2018, 11:08:01 AM
Hello everyone, recently there has been a lot of panic on this forum due to the big price change of Bitcoin (as it always happens). Understandably, many people are confused and worried as they have lost thousands in their value, especially if they have bought higher than the current price. But as someone who has been into Bitcoin for 1.5 years (not too long, I know) I want to advice to newcomers to simply relax. Huge price swing were always a part of Bitcoin, so there's nothing extraordinary here and the worst thing you can do is to make panic trades. Basically, there are two main approaches to Bitcoin trading - you either hodl it, meaning you never sell it until it reached "the moon", or you are actively trading it to get profit from volatility. So, if you believe in Bitcoin's technology and don't have experience as a trader, I suggest you to not touch your coins - Bitcoin always tends to increase in its value in the long run.

It is easy to give lectures on how prices will recover but I feel that pain of people who lost money by investing in bitcoins. Investing at $20000 levels and then seeing prices drop to $7000 results in loss of more than 50%.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC at end of bounty campaign on: April 05, 2018, 11:05:21 AM
What do you think about bounty campaigns that announce their KYC check at the end of the campaign? Many bounty hunters simply don't want to do that and the bounty managers or the ICO teams get free promotion for their projects.

Is this fair?

Every bounty thread should clearly state, wether there will be a KYC or not. We should ask the admins for changing the rules regarding this issue.

What do you think?

This is not fair at all. All these conditions should be mentioned at the time of starting the campaign only. You should report such cases to moderators.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you choose to hold Bitcoin or Ethereum? on: April 05, 2018, 11:02:20 AM
The recent bitcoin price volatility is particularly large, but the price of eth has been very stable, you choose to buy eth or bitcoin?
 Tongue Tongue Tongue

ETH is also going down these days and I think that it can go even more down in coming days. Invest in ETH only if you can hold for at least 3-4 years.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee reveals he charges $105,000 per promotional cryptocurrency tweet on: April 05, 2018, 10:53:38 AM
This is way to expensive in my opinion and I do not think that any project is paying him that much. This might be self promotion.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH v NEO on: April 05, 2018, 10:38:46 AM
Which do you think is better and why?

ETH is way better in my opinion. Not only it can be rewarding, it  is safer in comparison to these new alt coins. If you still want cheap alt coin, go for Ripple.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Huge correction 3 months - How to invest in difficult times on: April 05, 2018, 10:35:29 AM
Most coins have lost 50 to 80% of their value, many tokens that were financed with expensive ether may now have their funding reduced due to their holdings. Do you think many of the ICOs have sold their ether and bitcoin during the last months? What other factors are making the market go steadily down?

This correction was bound to happen after we saw the dramatic rise in prices from $7000 to $20000 in just few days. These coins should rise back now.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Still Good to Make Investment in it on: March 26, 2018, 11:14:38 AM
Yes, it is still way better if you compare it to options like stocks and mutual funds. But if you compare it to alt coins, it may not give that much return now.
12  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Stolen Bitcoin on: February 12, 2018, 08:05:47 AM
Hi,

I am trying to find a company / Bounty Hunter to recover some BTC I had stolen.

Has anyone had any dealing with    www.darkwebsolutions.com  Huh?

I have been in contact with them and they are confident that they can get my BTC back, however they want $500 up front.

Naturally I am suspicious. Why not just include it in the 10% fee they take from the amount recovered.

Any help or alternative suggestions most welcome.

Take 10% from amount withdrawn, they will take all. But I think they are not capable of doing it an will take $500 and you will be fooled.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be used as a donation to the church on: February 12, 2018, 07:43:08 AM
But we need Churches that accept donations in BTC for that. Aso, I think many people donate to local churches and thus all will have to implement for this to be successful.
14  Other / Meta / Re: Chances of signature campigns being removed from this forum on: February 12, 2018, 07:36:16 AM
I read comment by the admin that if the merit system fails to reduce spam from the website, he might take decisions like removing the signature campaigns. This is scary for me.  I am not eligible for any campaign yet but I was hopeful to get enrolled in one. If this is going to be implemented for sure, I might not be comfortable participating in discussions. I will though read posts by other members for information needed.

Yes. They will be banned. Go away. We don't want posters like you anyway.

Do you even read the query asked before replying ?
15  Other / Meta / Re: The reason that Merit is working.... on: February 12, 2018, 06:50:26 AM
There are various other things to consider here as well. I am sure that the member you mentioned, must be making quality posts. But, if you analyze the complete forum, you will find very less number of members with such good writing skills. It does not necessarily mean that they are less knowledgeable.

Another thing I a see here is once a member gets merit from a member. Chances of getting merits from other members from same post also increases. This makes it more difficult for others.

17  Economy / Economics / Re: why should bitcoin! on: February 11, 2018, 12:00:22 PM
now many altcoin, sprung up between it all there must be in the place of investing other than bitcoin, all also have the same opportunity as bitcoin all promising profit

but why do more choose bitcoin as the place they invest?

Because Bitcoin is the first crypto currency. People associate crypto with Bitcoins.
18  Local / Esercizi commerciali / Re: what do you think will be the future of this market? on: February 11, 2018, 11:48:54 AM
what do you think will be the future of this market? and what needs to change so governments will start to recognize it as a currency?

More governments will ban Bitcoins as time passes. We will see the price going down due to this.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Most reliable wallet on: February 11, 2018, 11:32:52 AM
Is paper wallet, the most secured, most reliable, budget and user-friendly wallet for you?

I do not use paper wallet as I am not familiar with it. I just keep money in different exchanges to remain safe.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: If the world uses a single currency on: February 11, 2018, 11:26:00 AM
If the world uses a single currency, will the economy be more stable?
This is a very interesting question. The sovereign nations issue their own currencies and are taken for granted by many people, but few consider whether this is the economically optimal option.

That will solve a lot of issues but practically not possible. Different countries are on different levels.
