Maybe we could call it Muni coin? It is what it is supposed to replace and it would be great to say "How much Muni does that cost?" or "How much Muni did you pay?"
I particularly like the fact that this sound a lot like the fiat it is to replace giving the association between fiat cash and this coin.
Also the short name would be MUNI so no confusion on exchanges by inexperienced traders.
Anyone else like the name?
I personally appreciate the name Stone, as it relates to RaiStones, which is what RaiBlocks was originally named after, as i quite respect Colin and his remarkable project. As you can see the other Stone project was a mad scramble to release it before mine, as my announcement was dated first, just attempting to ride off my project hype, i disregard these small projects, they will not be anything substantial in 6months or 2 years.
As a side note, the member Apocabal, has now accepted an offer to be part of the Stone team, he will be working in the graphics department, his first role will be a redesign of the announcement thread, which will move to the website, then forum, Stone wallet, then substantial 2018 roadmap, all coming together quite pleasantly.

Hey Nano community, congratulations on the re-brand, nano is definitely a must swiftier name than RaiBlocks, will do well for its long term goal in terms of adoption, i'm proud to say i'm once again a heavy bag holder of XRB, once it hit $8 in the dip i basically sold my wife to enter  Do you all know to keep your XRB in your wallet for the STONE fork? i'm unsure if KuCoin will be supporting the fork at this stage, but id say its a safer bet to keep them in a wallet you hold the seed to. Im confused with the donations are the donation is it split equally among all the donators or is it calculated for each person's donations
for example If i donated $1 would I get the same amount of stone as someone who donated $10,000
This has been discussed before. It is not clear but the consensus seems to be that it will be proportional to the value of what you donated in US dollars calculated at the end of the donation period or maybe at the time you transferred it. It would be pretty easy to game the system and make 10 donations of $1 if it was simply divided up equally among number of donators. Just imagine 1$ being a stake from the donation pool. The more $ the more stakes from total. Although that's never been confirmed. Not a lot of details have been released yet on how he is handling donations, whether or not your stake will be proportional to the donation amount, or if it decreases over a certain amount. Either way, it's pretty scary how all donations are collected and done even before a single line of code is presented. True it has never been confirm if I remember correct, But thatīs the only way making sense. Decreasing via time or not felix has already said it will be distributed between the donators, but its based on the donation value, not all donators will get the same, $1 wont get he same distribution as $1000. |

On February 14th this "project" will have been in progress for two months. Yet, there is ZERO proof of any coding being done.

Good morning all, i do actually have some delightfully positive news for the community on this present-day, as of next week i will no longer be working or engaged in any other project, i will be working on Stone full time, this was only possible due to the tremendous support in donations, now the tie's are finalized and i will be able to focus 100% of my efforts into Stone and its development proposal.
This enlightenment will enable me to channel-in on future updates, the website, Stone forums, advertising & management. From a leaders perspective this is the most positive switch for Stone, and will carve it's long term success. Thank you.
The official donators list has been updated in the original post, donation period cut of will remain 9th of Feb 2018.
Furthermore i'd like to congratulate Colin on his swift yet required for future success rebrand to Nano, i appreciate his hard work and efforts and they will not go unnoticed in the cryptocurrency community.

Will you be releasing a white paper/code/anything before the 9th? It would be odd if you didn't give the people that have been waiting for that a chance to donate. Why would anyone have a cut off date for donations? im happyfor the cut off date, limits the supply to not in the hundreds of millions, well the market cap I haven't donated, and those who have are already aware of the risks involved (just as there are donating to any project like this). The thread lets people show they are interested and allows felixando to get community feedback. It also shows other developers there is a lot of interest for a coin like this. Read the opening post and his technical update about Transitive reduction, this isn't copy-pasta from somewhere, this is words from someone who understands the concepts involved, and is trying to figure out how to translate that into programming language. Now I don't know if/when we'll see any real results either, but right now I have nothing to lose by giving my full support on this project.

devs can we please get a countdown on the final day for donation fund, looking to put some more in but dont really want to miss it, also another tally for the total btc raised, as im thinking its gone up a little since the last reading, by my rough calcs we have around 1.5-2mill mcap now? its important to know for investors.

Good morning to you all, today will be a small update and recap on recent events/posts, hopefully one of many if i acquire the time to do so. Id like to take this time to earnestly thank my supporters and the people who have been sending supportive and appreciative private messages, also to the donators, development could not continue without you, Thank you.
Distribution
As expressed by a few supporters we have come to the result that we would like to see a substantial plan ahead, which will persist as follows;
30% donators (ending shortly - exact date yet to be announced)
32.5% Airdrop to BTC holders
22.5% Airdrop to existing XRB holders.
10% Givaway (Thread Posters/Twitter Enhancers)
5% Development fund
Stodes (Nodes)
From my findings with the balanced-weighted vote the implementation will not transact in-line in the manner i originally set out to achieve, therefor i have played with the idea of off-chain addresses, t-addresses (Stone) for standard transactions & (zStone) z-addresses, with an exact exchange between paired wallets for an untraceable transaction .My idea further extends to to have Stodes (Nodes), which act as a direct atomic swap 1:1 with Stone & zStone, anyone would be able to see the the swap 1:1 between the two, but no one would be able to see where you have recieved the zStone as it was transacted off-chain.
zStone would not be a seperate currency and not tradable on an exchange, its simply the channel to achieve completely private transactions, with a swap 1:1 with Stone, they would not be worth anymore or any less.
Schematics
OFF-CHAIN
Bob -> Alice
(zStone) Transactions -> (zStone) Received
SWAP
Alice -> Ted (Node) -> Alice
(zStone) Swap 1:1 -> Receive/Send -> (Stone) Received
Alice receives a private transaction from Bob via zStone, Alice now has 100 zStone, Alice now wants standard Stone, she swaps the 100 zStone for Stone 1:1 via a Stone node. The end result is Alice successfully has completed a private transaction with Bob, and swapped back into the base currency, all within the wallet, this method allows the DAG protocol to still function with its representative method.
Tests
I've been testing the functionality with zkSNARK transactions in a closed server, with positive results, sub ten-second transactions, with privacy.
The following members will take part in testnet, at this stage i do not need any more participants.
