1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hold out or sell Bitcoin? on: March 09, 2018, 02:46:11 AM
The markets usually are down in the early part of the year, january, february, march and normally makes a bull run to the mid to the end of the year. I would hold on if I were you unless you really need the cash. I think a great time to sell out each year if you're going to is in the early part of December before the Chinese new year.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: The best Airdrops that are currently ongoing on: March 02, 2018, 06:18:51 AM
DeepOnion supposedly is doing an airdrop, even though I met all the qualifications and still didn't get any free coins. But many people have claimed that they have. After the experience I had with DeepOnion, I am no longer partaking in any coins that supposedly do airdrops. There's too many rules and there's no guarantee that you will get the coins.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WARREN BUFFET says Bitcoin won't end well on: February 16, 2018, 05:21:54 AM
Jamie Dimon said the same thing and then he said he regretted it. No disrespect to Warren Buffett, but he probably doesn't understand cryptocurrenices. It's totally foreign from the age he grew up in. If he meant just bitcoin, he may have a point, if bitcoin doesn't change its speed and costs. But if he means all cryptos, I would definitely say he's wrong.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs to die on: February 13, 2018, 05:46:51 AM
What you said is true, all altcoins are tied to bitcoin. Usually if bitcoin is up, the altcoins are up and vice versa. However, if bitcoin fails, it can cast a negative shadow across cryptos in general, as bitcoin is the most popular. I think it's better for now that bitcoin survive but it would be fine if another crypto takes over bitcoin's #1 place. This is just my opinion.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what's the best altcoin on: February 06, 2018, 06:29:44 PM
Not financial advice, but I like XRP, SC, and NAS for long-term holds
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the end of crypto? on: February 02, 2018, 05:59:28 AM
Thanks for the assurance. I'm HODL-ing for a number of years. I believe in the coins that I have, in their real-world utility, so I know it will go back up. Not panicking at all.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2 Ethereum or 15 NEO for long term on: February 01, 2018, 06:36:27 PM
I would also say NEO. This is not financial advice, but my opinion. But I see more potential in NEO. Ethereum already has a high market cap. NEO has more room for growth in my opinion.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which alt coin will gain most value in 2018 on: February 01, 2018, 09:03:28 AM
I'm still bullish on XRP. With all the partnerships and pilot programs in the run, I think XRP will do very well in 2018.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON (TRX) Scam on: January 31, 2018, 08:49:55 PM
I too have been suspicious of TRON, since I first heard about it. I don't know the real-world use of TRON. I don't like coins that are hyped up. I like coins that have a clear real-world use and utility. I have not and will not invest in TRON. Something about it just seems suspicious. I could very well be completely wrong, but I'm just going by the impression that I have. Thus, I will not invest.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could the Bitcoin price by the end of 2018 only 4000$ - 6000$? on: January 31, 2018, 08:41:04 PM
I think in the end the price of coins will be driven by their utility. If Bitcoin is able to fix their slow transaction speeds and decrease their costs, it will have greater utility and more people will buy and use it. If they do nothing to fix their slow transaction times and costs, then it will continue to go downward to prices such as what you listed over time. The best coins in the end will win, in my opinion. If bitcoin wasn't the first dominant coin, it would not be at the top. In fact, now bitcoin is used mostly as a store of value instead of a currency due to the slow speed and high costs. However, the lightning network could fix this if implemented.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What ALTs am I buying in the dip?! on: January 31, 2018, 08:24:27 PM
I'm also in deeponion. Seems like a great project. So far, I bought a little over 100 coins and may buy more. I've researched a fair amount about it and the technology and dev team seem really great. I believe the price can strongly go upward from there. And they give out free tokens. I think the future looks great. Enigma and Ethos, I know nothing about, so I have to research.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano (ADA) Coin - would you invest? on: January 31, 2018, 08:06:08 PM
I invested a little bit of money into cardano. I have a few thousand coins. It seems like a great project. The team behind cardano is great. The roadmap I believe is a little long, so you have to be patient. But cardano is blockchain 3.0. It's going to be highly scalable and interoperable with other coins. Unlike many coins, cardano is built from scratch and is not based on ethereum or some other blockchain. They are building it from the ground up with the best features. Overall, a good long-term investment in my opinion. I'm not giving financial advice, just my opinion.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can I transfer bitcoins to my bank account? on: January 31, 2018, 07:57:34 PM
No banks currently support fiat. They do not have bitcoin wallets. Therefore, you have to exchange your bitcoin to fiat and then transfer it to your bank account. If you want to store bitcoin, you need software that utilizes a bitcoin wallet. Usually you would want this online, since it's less susceptible to hacks. Storing your cryptos online is a little more dangerous.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No future for bitcoin on: January 31, 2018, 07:45:15 PM
Well bitcoin started it all off. Bitcoin is blockchain 1.0. Ethereum is 2.0. And cryptos like ADA, EOS is 3.0. Bitcoin I think will eventually be superseded even if it does take some time. However, successful implementation of the lightning network can make it stay alive much longer. So we'll see. Time will tell. If bitcoin doesn't implement the lightning, it will be a matter of time before it loses its top-seed position. If it does, we have to see how well this technology works. If it works really well, bitcoin may stay relevant for a very long time.
15  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying Coins on: January 31, 2018, 07:11:07 PM
To buy coins at the cheapest prices, buy at exchanges with the greatest volume. You can see volumes at either livecoinwatch or coinmarketcap. Below in the markets tab, you can see the dollar amount in volume traded for each exchange. Exchanges with more volume have lower spreads (difference between ask and sell). Therefore, in exchanges with greater volume, you can buy at lower prices.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 600$ - Invest in altcoin on: January 31, 2018, 07:03:22 PM
$600 is a good amount. This is not legal financial advice, just my opinion. But I would invest in XRP (good upside in the future), SC (siacoin), deeponion. Stellar is also good.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you invest in the USD (or any other fiat currency ?) on: January 31, 2018, 06:53:15 PM
That's true but if you put that money in a savings account or a CD, you earn interest, offsetting the inflation. So I wouldn't always say that holding fiat is bad. I think it is necessary. Also all places accept fiat but not all places accept cryptocurrency, so holding fiat gives you liquid cash that is taken everywhere. But I do understand your point in the potential of cryptos for the long run over simply holding fiat. Right now both have their place in society.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TOP 3 Cryptocurrency Exchanges! on: January 31, 2018, 06:43:57 PM
Binance, Bittrex, Kucoin, I believe. I am on all 3, although I use bittrex primarily. But all are good. Binance is the most popular in terms of daily page views. You can see this in its alexa ranking, which is currently 252. Bittrex has a ranking of 306. Kucoin has a rank of 2,071. So it's a far ways behind, but still popular. Another one I like is gate.io. Depending on what you're buying determines the exchange you use. Different exchanges have different cryptocurrencies, which is why many people are on multiple exchanges.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I buy or mine Bitcoin? on: January 31, 2018, 06:25:28 PM
I would just buy some bitcoin. Mining is complicated if you are just starting out. It requires a good amount of computing power and specialized hardware. I have never mined bitcoin, but it seems now that it's a lot more competitive than the early days. The top 5 mining companies control like 51% of the mining, so you along going up against them probably wouldn't go that great. These companies have massive computing power, with hundreds if not thousands of specialized hardware units. You can see videos of them on youtube. I would simply just buy.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ripple comes to 2 dollar by end of Feb 2018 on: January 31, 2018, 06:18:07 PM
Price prediction is hard. However, my belief is that definitely by the end of March it will be back to $2. Right now, there's a lot of FUD in the market such as with South Korea banning cryptos and now the tether auditing problem. Once all of this drama clears, then the market will be free to resume going up. Cryptos is a complicated business and there is a lot of legal and regulatory issues that need to be addressed in order for the market to be clear to go up. I would just HODL. Cryptos are too important for governments to simply ban them. However, the government has to add regulation in order to protect the public from fraudulent ICOs and coins. Or else, unsuspecting people will lose all or most of their money. Just be patient and HODL.
